The coordinated parallel driving of autonomous vehicles in formation not only optimizes road space utilization but also enhances road efficiency, contributing to the reduction of traffic congestion. Hence, it is necessary to impose diverse constraints on the vehicle to ensure its adherence to the intended trajectory. The constraints of mechanical systems are generally categorized into equality constraints and inequality constraints. This paper adopts a constraint-following methodology by leveraging the generalized Udwadia-Kalaba equation to design the self-driving vehicle formation system, considering both equality and inequality constraints within the system. Simulation experiments demonstrate that the method is not only simple and effective but also has good applicability in swarm systems.

Against the backdrop of the gradual popularization of new energy vehicles, it is particularly important to improve the safety and comfort of driving new energy vehicles. As the market share of new energy vehicles gradually increases, improving the driving safety and comfort of new energy vehicles has become an urgent problem to be solved. This article helps improve the intelligent driving assistance system of new energy vehicles by combining intelligent algorithms and computer vision technology. This article realizes real-time detection and identification of vehicles, pedestrians and obstacles in road scenes by using target detection algorithms, then uses image segmentation technology to separate different areas in the road image, such as lane lines and pedestrian areas, and uses motion estimation algorithms to track and predict moving objects on the road to improve the performance of the new energy vehicles' driving assistance system. Experimental results show that the stability test results of this system are between 89% and 98%, and significant progress has been made in road environment perception and driving decision-making.

The HVAC system is one of the major power consuming equipment in buildings. Considering the effective setpoint temperature of each zone can increase efficiency in managing power usage in buildings, leading to the operating cost reduction. This paper presents the design of supervisory control (SC) for multi-zone HVAC systems that aims to minimize the total operating cost (TOC) and the thermal comfort cost (TCC). To minimize the TOC and TCC, both objectives are normalized and combined as a quadratic programming (QP) problem which can be efficiently solved. To achieve the design objective, two methods of SC are developed for multi-zone, namely, centralized SC and decentralized SC. We apply standard QP and sparse QP solvers using interior point method. The numerical results reveal that centralized SC performs better according to a trade-off curve which TOC and TCC are lower. While both solvers give the same results, sparse solver can provide the solutions faster than interior point method. This paper demonstrates that centralized control is appropriate for implementation in multi-zones buildings and the sparse solver proves to be more suitable in the context of sparse QP problem.
