Speech emotion recognition is the process of accurately interpreting an individual's emotion from their speech. This paper introduces a python-based approach using natural language processing techniques for real-time emotion recognition in speech. The system utilizes a combination of feature extraction, acoustic modeling, and sentiment analysis to accurately identify and categorize different emotions expressed in spoken language. The feature extraction process involves extracting relevant acoustic features such as from the speech signal. These features are then used to train machine learning algorithms to classify emotions. sentiment analysis techniques are incorporated to capture additional emotional cues present in the text of the speech. The system demonstrates promising results in real-time emotion recognition, achieving high classification accuracies for a range of emotions. The system's efficacy and productivity are further enhanced by leveraging popular Python libraries such as NLTK, Scikit-learn, and Keras for natural language processing and machine learning tasks. The ultimate goal is to enhance emotion recognition accuracy significantly, with observed improvements ranging from 95% to 98%. Through this work experimental evaluation of the system on various emotion datasets shows its capability to recognize emotions in real-time speech with real- world applications © 2024 IEEE.

The phenomenon of leader emergence is typically defined as a cognitive process of leadership that occurs within a general biological group. This process is indicative of the interactions between groups and individuals within those groups. Therefore, it is important to study the mechanisms of the leader emergence for the formation of leadership, the understanding of group behavior and the research of groups complex systems. Based on the charge force model, the leader emergence is described, in this paper, in terms of a time-varying hybrid potential energy function with uncertain parameters. Based on this potential energy function, the formation process of leaders is analyzed and modeled. This process involves individuals within the group perceiving and recognizing the emergence of leaders through interaction. Computer simulations are performed to illustrate and verify the mechanism and validity of the models. This model not only solves the problem of target generation and target selection of swarm robots, but also simulates the behavior process of self-organization. © 2024 IEEE.

Fractional non-continuous switched systems are delineated by one category of difference systems. Those distinguished by operators indicating non-integer differences. In spite of the fact that there have been many successful achievements in the stable of constant switched systems, there turned out to be a scarcity of publications on this subject. Our paper mainly solves the finite time stability problem of a form of fractional order synchronous variable order nonlinear switched systems based on a unique Nabla Caputo discrete operator. In addition, a representation of short-memory fractional order synchronous variable order nonlinear discrete switched systems is proposed, and then one innovative theorem is proposed to demonstrate its asymptotic stability. Finally, instances are showcased to illustrate the efficacy of the findings. © 2023 IEEE.

In robotics applications, ensuring reliable performance in the presence of actuator faults is essential for maintaining system safety and reliability. This paper presents a tolerant tracking control method for permanent magnet synchronous motors (PMSMs) based on adaptive dynamic programming and fault compensation. The method simultaneously considers tracking accuracy and energy consumption through a policy iteration algorithm. In the optimality analysis of the algorithm, more relaxed conditions are provided to demonstrate that the performance function can converge to a near-optimal value within a finite number of iterations. In practical implementation, an actor-critic network is used to approximate the performance function and control protocol, alongside a fault detection mechanism based on an expanded time horizon, which achieves fault detection from arbitrary initial values. The effectiveness of the proposed algorithm is verified using a high-fidelity PMSM model in Simulink. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2025.

This paper addresses the challenge of trajectory tracking for space robotic arms under the influence of system uncertainties and external disturbances. To tackle this problem, we propose a novel adaptive non-singular fast terminal sliding mode control (ANFTSMC) strategy. This method extends the traditional non-singular fast terminal sliding mode control (NFTSMC) by integrating an adaptive reaching law, which enhances overall performance. This design allows the control rate to dynamically adjust according to changes in the system state, ensuring rapid convergence of both trajectory tracking and velocity errors to zero, despite uncertainties and disturbances. Furthermore, the proposed controller achieves shorter error convergence times compared to conventional NFTSMC. The stability and rapid convergence of the controller are validated through Lyapunov stability theory. Finally, numerical simulations confirm the effectiveness and advantages of the proposed algorithm. © 2024 IEEE.

With the development of science and technology and the progress of measurement means, weak signal detection is playing an increasingly important role in scientific research and engineering applications. However, traditional detection methods often struggle to achieve ideal detection results in low signal to noise ratio and complex noise environment. This paper proposes a neural network method combining physical information constraints, which improves the accuracy and reliability of weak signal detection by integrating the physical properties of signals into the network design. The experimental results show that this method can significantly improve the detection performance while maintaining a low computational complexity, and provides a new technical path for weak signal detection. © 2024 Copyright held by the owner/author(s).

Circuit breakers are important control and protection equipment in the power system. The losses caused by their faults, such as damage to other power equipment and power outages in the power system, far exceed the value of the circuit breakers themselves. Statistics show that 10% of circuit breaker failures are caused by incorrect maintenance. The complete disassembly of circuit breakers during major repairs is time-consuming and costly, reaching one-Third to one-half of the entire circuit breaker. Moreover, disassembly and reassembly can cause many defects, and the resulting accident examples are countless. Therefore, conducting research on voiceprint monitoring and diagnosis technology for mechanical faults of 10kV circuit breakers has important practical value. © 2023 IEEE.

Fake news poses a significant threat to social media and their users. Hybrid models for detection of fake news on social media, analyzing their strengths, weaknesses, and future directions are surveyed in it. We present an overview of fake news detection, discuss the limitations of individual approaches, and emphasis pros of combining them. We then describe various hybrid models categorized by the variety of techniques they integrate, including content analysis, network analysis, and knowledge reasoning. Additionally, we compare different hybrid models using key metrics namely correctness, precision, recall, and F1-score, presenting the results in tables and diagrams. Finally, we discuss open challenges and promising future directions for research in this domain. Additionally, it serves as a roadmap for future research directions, guiding the development of more robust and ethically sound fake news detection systems. ©2024 IEEE.

For the dual-active bridge (DAB) converter with single-phase-shift (SPS) control, a new control method is proposed to solve the issue of light-load efficiency in SPS control. The goal is to achieve a high-efficiency converter. The study focuses on optimizing the single-phase shift dual-active bridge (DAB) converter using dual-phase shift control and simulates the circuit in PSIM. By employing phase modulation and duty cycle modulation techniques, the power switches on first stage and secondary stage can achieve phase and duty cycle modulation, realizing hybrid control and bidirectional power transfer. This approach addresses and improves the light-load efficiency issue of the theoretical single-phase shift DAB converter. The research designs a 1 kW bidirectional power conversion between 400 V and 50 V for the dual-phase shift bridge converter. © 2024 IEEE.

Capsule robots have emerged as a promising solution for non-invasive and painless screening of gastrointestinal diseases, offering significant advantages in patient comfort and reduced risk of cross-infection. Despite these advantages, existing capsule robots fall short in their ability to conduct targeted biopsies and deliver drugs to specific gastric lesions. To address this limitation, this paper presents the design and development of a magnetically driven capsule robot that leverages visual feedback to achieve accurate targeting for biopsy and drug administration in gastric lesions. Internal magnets, responsive to an external gradient magnetic field, enable the controlled propulsion of the capsule robot. A kinetic model of the capsule robot is analyzed, allowing it to recognize lesion contours through the endoscopic camera. This recognition determines the rotation angle or small adjustments required for the capsule robot's attitude and positioning. Experimental results in a simplified in vitro stomach model showcase the capability of the capsule robot to achieve targeted biopsy and drug delivery. These results highlight the potential feasibility of the proposed capsule robot in enhancing diagnostic accuracy and treatment efficacy with broader applications within the realm of gastric healthcare. © 2023 IEEE.
