Matching theory has been efficiently applied in fog computing networks (FCNs) to design distributed task offloading algorithms in the presence of selfishness and rationale of fog nodes. Given the dynamic nature of fog computing environment, it is challenging to obtain the stable matching since the preference relations of two sides of matching game is unknown a prior. To address this challenge, this paper proposes RE-MATCH, a framework for parallel computation offloading in dynamic fog computing networks (FCNs). RE. MATCH is based on the matching theory and Thompson Sampling (TS) empowered Multi-Armed Bandit (MAR) learning to deal with the inherent challenges allowing task nodes with needed computation tasks to estimate the informed preference relations of helper nodes with available computing resource quickly and accurately. Extensive simulation results demonstrate the potential advantages of the TS based learning over the epsilon-greedy and upper confidence bound (UCB) based baselines.

We have noted that performing non-Clifford T operations in a fault-tolerant quantum computing system requires magic states. The magic state distillation (MSD) process, which generates high-fidelity magic states, incurs significant time and space costs. We propose a method for implementing an MSD with a low time cost for the system where a surface code is applied. The proposed method utilizes a deterministic correction operator and leverages 4-qubit twist defects. Therefore, the time cost is reduced to three times the code distance, much lower than in previous works. Reducing computation time benefits the overall speed of the computing system, which in turn provides a foundation for realizing quantum computational advantages.

This paper explores advanced portfolio optimization strategies using copula and GARCH models to enhance risk management and profitability in the European stock market. By utilizing high-performance computing (HPC) to conduct extensive simulations on approximately 10,000 portfolios, the study compares the effectiveness of various copula-GARCH models against traditional approaches, such as the mean-variance model. The most effective configuration-identified as a Student's copula with marginal Student's distribution and an eGARCH model-was employed to simulate returns and construct optimal portfolios that minimize Conditional Value at Risk (CVaR). The scalability and robustness of this approach offer valuable insights into its practical applications for portfolio management.
