As modern applications are being designed in a distributed, Microservices Architecture (MSA), it becomes increasingly difficult to debug and test those systems. Typically, it is the role of software testing engineers or Quality Assurance (QA) engineers to write software tests to ensure the reliability of applications, but such a task can be labor-intensive and time-consuming. In this paper, we explore the potential of Large Language Models (LLMs) in assisting software engineers in generating test cases for software systems, with a particular focus on performing end-to-end (black-box) system testing on web-based MSA applications. We present our experience building Kashef, a software testing tool that utilizes the advanced capabilities of current LLMs in code generation and reasoning, and builds on top of the concept of communicative agents.

One of the recent developments in physical reservoir computing, which uses the complex dynamics of a physical system as a computational resource, is the use of a pneumatic pipeline system as a computational resource. This uses the dynamics of air for computation, and because it is lightweight and power-saving, it is used for gait-assist control using a soft exoskeleton with pneumatic rubber artificial muscles. In this study, we verified that by feeding back the estimated information to a pneumatic pipeline system, the pneumatic physical reservoir computing can generate periodic pressure changes as a stable limit cycle, such as those seen in walking. A pneumatic reservoir with feedback loops was modeled to generate limit cycles in the simulation, and it was confirmed that the system could generate limit cycles with high accuracy even from initial positions far from the target limit cycle. This system is expected to be applied to assist walking movements with a soft exoskeleton with a lightweight computational device.

Aiming at the problems of difficult feature extraction and high real-time requirement for weak targets in space manipulation scenes, this paper designed a parallel stream HOG feature computing architecture based on multi-cache interaction, and adopted cell stream splitting and multi-angle interval parallel computing methods to improve the degree of parallelism. The whole architecture adopts 16-bit fixed-point base calculation, transcendental function combined with polynomial expansion and table lookup method to improve the calculation accuracy. 16 detection windows at the same time, the use of parallel computing, effectively improve the response to more than 1024.1024 pixels high-definition camera real-time computing applications. After testing the data with low signal-to-noise ratio, the error from theoretical calculation is less than 3%. The experimental verification shows that compared with previous designs, the proposed method occupies the same number of resources except Block RAM, and the computational efficiency is increased by at least 57.2%.

Quantum computers are becoming a reality and numerous quantum computing applications with a near-term perspective (e.g., for finance, chemistry, machine learning, and optimization) and with a long-term perspective (e.g., for cryptography or unstructured search) are currently being investigated. However, designing and realizing potential applications for these devices in a scalable fashion requires automated, efficient, and user-friendly software tools that cater to the needs of end users, engineers, and physicists at every level of the entire quantum software stack. Many of the problems to be tackled in that regard are similar to design problems from the classical realm for which sophisticated design automation tools have been developed in the previous decades. The Munich Quantum Toolkit (MQT) is a collection of software tools for quantum computing developed by the Chair for Design automation at the Technical University of Munich which explicitly utilizes this design automation expertise. Our overarching objective is to provide solutions for design tasks across the entire quantum software stack. This entails high-level support for end users in realizing their applications, efficient methods for the classical simulation, compilation, and verification of quantum circuits, tools for quantum error correction, support for physical design, and more. These methods are supported by corresponding data structures (such as decision diagrams or the ZX-calculus) and core methods (such as SAT encodings/solvers). All of the developed tools are available as open-source implementations and are hosted on ***/cda-tum.

We introduce RobotPerf, a vendor-agnostic benchmarking suite designed to evaluate robotics computing performance across a diverse range of hardware platforms using ROS 2 as its common baseline. The suite encompasses ROS 2 packages covering the full robotics pipeline and integrates two distinct benchmarking approaches: black-box testing, which measures performance by eliminating upper layers and replacing them with a test application, and grey-box testing, an application-specific measure that observes internal system states with minimal interference. Our benchmarking framework provides ready-to-use tools and is easily adaptable for the assessment of custom ROS 2 computational graphs. Drawing from the knowledge of leading robot architects and system architecture experts, RobotPerf establishes a standardized approach to robotics benchmarking. As an open-source initiative, RobotPerf remains committed to evolving with community input to advance the future of hardware-accelerated robotics.
