This paper presents a comprehensive verification environment and methodology for fully verifying a system on Chip-Field-Programmable Gate Array (SoC-FPGA) used in building an NQR spectrometer through RTL simulation. The verification environment includes an RTL testbench, a database of tests, design modules simulation models, and simulation automation scripts. Initially, the system is simulated in an RTL testbench written in system Verilog, with the SoC-FPGA as the Device Under Test (DUT). To simulate real NMR/NQR experiments, various tests are created, each corresponding to a specific experiment, comprising stimuli, current test configuration files and reference files. For each test, the simulation output files of the DUT are compared bit-wise to the reference files. simulation and check scripts provide a snapshot of the design's non-regression status. This methodology and platform enable in-depth verification of the SoC-FPGA's functionality, significantly reducing the experimental validation time of the NQR spectrometer on real samples. Future enhancements could include verifying the signal denoising algorithms implemented on the SoC-FPGA.

This paper proposes a new simulator, BDSsim, for Botnet Defense system (BDS). BDS is a cybersecurity system that uses white-hat botnets to exterminate malicious botnets. Conventionally, an agent-oriented Petri net, PN2, has been used to study BDS. However, when trying to precisely model the behavior of BDS, the resulting net becomes too large, and some parts of the modeling had to be simplified. BDSsim describes BDS behavior in Python code and utilizes Mesa, an agent-based modeling and simulation framework in Python. BDSsim enables sophisticated modeling of BDS behavior and effective simulation utilizing Mesa and the Python ecosystem. The simulation with BDSsim results quantitatively revealed that (i) the primary infection rate of white-hat worms affects the effectiveness of BDS as well as the secondary infection rate and lifespan;(ii) the network topology, especially network density, affects the effectiveness of BDS.

Visual simulationsystem plays a significant role in the development of unmanned surface vehicle. Due to the disadvantages of low fidelity, there is a deep gap between existing systems and real scenes on the sea. This paper proposes a ship and ocean visual simulationsystem based on high definition render pipeline, which achieves realistic water simulation and ship wave interaction. Ships are capable of real-time response to waves under different sea states, leading to a strong sense of realism and immersion with the aid of high quality rendering. Apart from testing unmanned perception and control algorithms in diverse scenes, the visual simulationsystem also enables virtual reconstruction of detected targets sent by real sensors, facilitating remote operators to understand perceived results intuitively.
