LEDs for lighting purpose have become vastly popular as it has high lumens yield with less watt consumption. Lumens differ for different tasks and locations. Our system will efficiently control the intensity of light and provide the required amount of intensity for user and will automatically switch off in absence of the user. The analysis of energy consumption with and without our cost-effective smart system is discussed. Our system uses MOSFET to control voltages, which proportionally control the light intensity.

Here, manuscript presents an efficient fuzzy logic controller (FLC)-based soft computing for grid-tied photovoltaic (PV) schematic as a maximum power point tracking (MPPT). An inverter controller for unity power factor operation of grid-tied PV system is achieved using space vector pulse width modulation (SVPWM) technology. Zeta chopper has been kept as an interface between inverter and utility grid. Under steady, dynamic and different loading situations have been presented by captured simulation estimations.

This work deals the comparison of perturbation and observation (P and O) as well as asymmetrical fuzzy logic controller (AFLC)-based soft computing approach as a maximum power point tracking (MPPT) means for photovoltaic (PV) network. The simulation of PV power system has been realized using both algorithms for different solar insolations. In this work, Cuk converter has been interfaced between PV array and load for smooth MPPT operations. The grid-tied PV system with unity power factor has estimated using MATLAB/SIMULINK approach. Simulation results explain the effectiveness and robustness of AFLC-based MPPT formulation.

cognitive radio spectrum sensing is one of the novel techniques in wireless communications. In this process, a wide variety of techniques are available for detecting the spectrum availability to send the secondary signal frequency signals in the absences of the other primary signal frequencies. In this cognitive radio spectrum sensing, speed of operation of the network is one of the important factors for efficient data handling and transmission process. Cyclostationary feature detection is one of the efficient methods for cognitive Radio spectrum sensing applications. The speed and power of the cyclostationary feature detection-based spectrum sensing architecture in cognitive radio networks can be improved by implementing the advanced multiplication techniques like Vedic multipliers for test statistic computing module deployed in the architecture. To detect the presence the signal over the provided Frequency band, continuous sensing of spectrum is required. This involves numerous multiplications. The proposed model with help of Vedic multipliers reduces the power consumption as well as increases the performance of the architecture. The simulation results are equated with Booth multiplier. It shows better results when it is implemented in the test statistic module. The complete design is implemented in Verilog and tested using Xilinx ISE and Xilinx Vivado tool.

Spectrum sensing is the process of detection of the user whether it is present or absent. Spectrum Sensing is the key role in cognitive Radio (CR) Networks and thus improving spectrum utilization. The major issues that may arise in spectrum sensing are Probability of false alarm (Pfa) and Probability of miss detection (Pmd). An analytical comparison is proposed between two of Non-Cooperative detection methods in the spectrum sensing. In this ultramodern era, there is an increase in demand of smart systems. It is quite observable that the bedridden patients face problems in defecating and urinating. Taking the problems into account, we have taken an approach to design the user-friendly toilet to support the hospitals and the patients. Based on the cognitive science, fuzzy-based smart toilet is designed so that maximum ICU patients can be benefited. The toilet is fixed with the bed and can be used by the patients with a simple switch. The FL-based PID controller is designed to slide the pan cover as well as water supply to the toilet. It can clean the body part of the patient along with the toilet. Rule based fuzzy is applied to design the system and defuzzification is done using COG method. According to a performed survey, the proposed idea is a type of big data analysis and can be widely used for the betterment of hospitals and old-age homes. © 2019, Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.

Due to a massive increase in the number of IoT devices and the number of cloud-based services a crucial task arises of optimally placing (both topologically and resource-wise) services in the network so that no of the clients will be victimized and all of them will receive the best possible time of response. Also - there must be a balance not to instantiate a service on every possible machine - which would take too many resources. The task which must be solved is an optimization of parameters such as QoS between service and client, equality of clients and usage of resources. Using the SDN - which is designed to answer some of the problems posed in this section such as QoS and knowledge about the topology of the whole network and newly connected clients - is a gateway to better-adapted service management. Machine learning provides less stiff rules to follow and more intelligent behavior of the manager. © 2020, Springer Nature Switzerland AG.
