Aiming at the problems of high cost and safety risk of manual berthing due to factors such as wind and low speed in the berthing control of underactuated unmanned ship, a robust adaptive PD controller based on characteristic model for automatic berthing is proposed in this paper. Firstly, considering the modeling difficulties caused by speed variation and wind disturbances during low speed berthing process of unmanned ship, the characteristic model of the ship is established based on the MMG modeling method. Then, according to the characteristic model, a robust adaptive PD controller is proposed to improve the track control accuracy of the unmanned ship berthing at low speed. Finally, the effectiveness of the proposed control is verified through applying it to a patrol ship. The simulation and experimental results show that the method can effectively improve the accuracy and robustness of unmanned ship berthing control. © 2022, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.

The article examines the main aspects of implementing adaptive management of plant production technology in the context of the dynamics of the greenhouse effect, based on the construction of automated systems endowed with the functions of scientifically based zoning of agricultural territories, taking into account the results of model assessment and forecasting of the dispersion and accumulation of greenhouse gases. systems of this class include a special module - a digital platform that generates and updates a complex of necessary models, algorithms, their software implementation, and a knowledge base for automated operational comparison and selection of a technological map and type of crops for their cultivation, ensuring a consistently high yield in the existing/predictable natural and climatic and man-made conditions. Effective solutions for the stated tasks and the choice of the best technology from alternatives are achieved based on the synthesized use of methods of intelligent data analysis, geoinformation technologies, and 3D modeling. The digital platform not only implements the dynamic formation and use of required predictive models and algorithms but also ensures the operational response of all components of the investigated automated system to current changes in the control object and the surrounding environment. The adaptive management scenarios generated in the system are aimed at increasing the productivity of agricultural territories based on the rational use of causal links between the natural potential of soil and plants with climatic factors. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2024.

complex scattering structures have many practical applications, therefore they are often analyzed using many numerical methods integrated in different systems, one of which is TALGAT. However, until now there has been no work on modeling complex scattering structures using this system, therefore, in this paper the results of analyzing plate scattering structures using TALGAT are presented and verified. Electromagnetic scattering characteristics such as radar cross section and backscattering cross section are considered. The accuracy of the TALGAT results obtained by the method of moments with pulse basis functions is verified by comparing them with those obtained analytically, experimentally and numerically using other methods published in previous works. These comparisons demonstrated the ability of TALGAT to give accurate results when analyzing complex wire grid scatterers.

The application of intelligent traffic management systems relies chiefly on the detection and recognition of the license plate of vehicles. Convolutional Neural Networks (CNNs) have typical use when such identification is performed because that can recognize complex patterns in images. However, the existing methodological system such as OKM-CNN has proven viability-related challenges, which include license plates with different languages, motion blur, and different lighting conditions familiar with real circumstances. In addition, the models have been designed with fixed sets, which limit their flexibility and adaptability in various situations. The core objective of this research work is to solve the above addressed problems by proposing a system that integrates CNN classifier with Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) technique. The recognition power of the patterns creates the potential to recognize features involved in license number plates and their characters. PSO is such an approach, inspired by bird movement in a flock, to tune the settings of CNN automatically. This merger enables the system to make more accurate identification of license plates during challenging situations while cars are running. The outcome is a highly precise, flexible, and contextually suitable model ready for modern traffic management systems.

In order to solve the Negative Sequence (NS) and Regenerative Braking Energy (RBE) utilization problems in Traction Power Supply System (TPSS), based on the co-phase power supply system, a power flow transfer device containing a hybrid energy storage system and its coordinated control strategy are proposed. Firstly, analyze the topology and working mode of the power flow transfer device with integrated hybrid energy storage. Then, two control schemes are proposed, the equivalent circuits under the two control schemes are established, the influence of the two control schemes on the system performance under different working patterns is analyzed, and a coordination control strategy is proposed. Finally, the feasibility of the system topology and the effectiveness of the coordination control strategy are proved by simulation. © 2022 IEEE.

In response to the growing concerns over electromagnetic radiation (EMR) emanating from urban electric power facilities, this study proposes a novel optimization framework. The rapid expansion of urban infrastructure and the consequent proliferation of such facilities necessitate innovative strategies to mitigate the potential health risks associated with EMR, while ensuring the efficient distribution of electricity. This research introduces an optimization method based on an enhanced Deep Q-Learning algorithm, incorporating advancements such as Dual Deep Q Networks (DDQN), Prioritized Experience Replay (PER), and Noisy Networks. These modifications aim to refine the algorithm's ability to navigate the complex dynamics of urban EMR management. The proposed method demonstrates an improvement in minimizing EMR exposure in urban settings, presenting a balanced approach to maintaining power distribution efficiency. By leveraging real-world data and simulations, the study not only contributes to the theoretical modeling of EMR mitigation but also offers practical insights for the design and operation of urban electric power facilities. This work is a step forward in the ongoing efforts to ensure sustainable urban development that prioritizes environmental health and energy efficiency. © 2024 IEEE.

The synthesis of a robust-optimal control system for the multidimensional nonlinear model of a quadcopter with optimized motion trajectories is proposed. These trajectories are described by ordinary nonlinear differential equations, which include determining the necessary segments and switching moments, forming control functions for movement while considering various quadcopter constraints, and ensuring robust correction of incomplete a priori information about the external environment. This correction is based on comparing the physical quadcopter output with the optimal (reference) model. The proposed system allows movement along complex multi-node geometric paths to solve environmental monitoring tasks. The simulation results demonstrate accurate quadcopter stabilization under conditions of disturbances as well as minimal control errors in the vicinity of the formed optimal trajectory of the controlled coordinates.

At present, the realization of the networked control of signal machines and the construction of intelligent traffic signal control systems have become the first choice for many cities to achieve traffic congestion relief. However, the signal control systems often require professionals to operate due to numerous parameters and complex applications. The biggest pain point of the traffic signal system is 'heavy construction, light application'. This paper introduces a simple innovative application method of intersection labeling control. Starting from the characteristics and common problems of intersections, triggering conditions, operation logic, output parameters are the basis of control, so as to realize a simple and fast signal control method. © 2022 IEEE.

A description of the software package for carrying out simulation modeling of hybrid and continuous systems of decentralized combined control of a multi-connected and multi-mode plant with an output delay, operating under conditions of structural and parametric uncertainty, is provided. The main feature of the developed complex is the functionality of carrying out a complete (structural and parametric) synthesis of data from control systems. The first stage of the synthesis is carried out on the basis of V. M. Popov's hyperstability criterion, which forms the structure of a continuous regulator. In particular, when considering a hybrid control system, at this stage an additional transformation of the continuous control system into a discrete one is carried out using the method of continuous models. At the second stage of synthesis - parametric, the parameters of the developed control loop are selected using genetic optimization algorithms according to the criterion of generalized work. The complex was developed on the basis of the Matlab system using the Simulink environment and the capabilities of the built-in GUI programming environment.
