With the collaboration of several intelligent services, a crowd intelligence service network has been formed, and a service ecosystem has gradually emerged. As a novel service organization model, the Service Ecosystem (SE) can provide more sophisticated, precise, and thorough services and has attracted widespread attention. However, it also brings negative effects such as involution, and information cocoon room. Thus, how to analyze the collaborative decision-making mechanism between the SE regulation algorithm and the crowd intelligence group, exploring the reasons behind the negative effects, and finding effective intervention strategies have become problems in this field. To solve the challenges, we propose a Computational Experiments-based method Decision-making processes Analysis model in SE, namely CEDA. The proposed CEDA model consists of three modules: the autonomous evolution mechanism module, the learning evolution mechanism module, and the collaborative decision-making analysis module. Among them, the computational experiments can provide a customized test environment for the analysis of collaborative decision-making processes and find out the appropriate intervention strategy. Finally, the validity of the CEDA model is verified through the case of academic ecosystem involution. The results show that computational experiments can provide new ideas and paths for collaborative decision-making processes analysis. © ICST Institute for Computer Sciences, Social Informatics and Telecommunications Engineering 2024.

Robotic arms have been widely used in industrial production for a long time. With the advent of the era of intelligent manufacturing, intelligent flexible robotic arms have received more and more attention in both theoretical research and actual production. As a typical representative of rigid-flexible coupled multi-body dynamic systems, flexible manipulators are widely used in aerospace, robotics and modern intelligent manufacturing fields. Compared with the bulky rigid manipulator, the flexible manipulator has the advantages of low energy consumption, large operating space, and high load-to-weight ratio. A key issue related to the modeling of flexible manipulators is the approximate method for analyzing the structure of flexible manipulators. In the actual operation process, the motion of the flexible manipulator is often composed of a wide range of rigid body motion and elastic vibration caused by the elastic deformation of the flexible body. Due to the existence of elastic vibration, the positioning accuracy of the flexible arm during the movement process is reduced, and even the reliability of the system is reduced. In order to achieve accurate identification and positioning of parts in complex situations, combined with the advantages of deep learning having powerful representation and modeling capabilities, deep learning technology is applied to the robotic arm to improve reliability. © 2022 IEEE.

Management of transportation processes is directly carried out by means of a system approach to them, which, in turn, is related to their classification properties. The field of transportation research is associated with the study of complex and dynamic relationships. The complexity of the study is due to the need to analyze a large number of intertwined links in the transport system itself or in its subsystem, as well as links between the transport system and socio-economic environment. Taking into account the importance of the systemic study of various transportation processes, some aspects of the study have been considered, taking into account the peculiarities of these processes. Within the framework of uncertainty of influencing factors the problem of estimation of pressure losses on hydraulic friction under conditions of given dynamics of oil pipeline flow rate is investigated.

The paper deals with the analysis and assessment of the influence of the initial data uncertainty on the accuracy in parametric identification problems. An approach to assessing the influence of the permissible variation of absolute accuracy in the parametric identification problem on the expected changes in the initial data is presented, based on the study of the resulting inverse effect of the initial data uncertainty. With regard to the problem of constructing an extended Cobb-Douglas production function, a practical testing of the presented method for solving parametric identification problems under conditions of the initial data uncertainty is given. The method develops the ideas of L.V. Kantorovich on the definition of exact bilateral boundaries for the desired parameters and allows you to analyze the adequacy of the resulting models. © 2021 IEEE.

Virtual coupling is a next-generation signalling concept that separates trains by relative braking distances, allowing the follower to pursue the leader train safely and ensuring good transient dynamics. One of the main challenges in virtual coupling is trains coupling/decoupling at merging/diverging junctions. With the increased complexity of route protections and controls, conventional software developments methods for virtual coupling interlocking suffers from difficulties in safety guarantee, in which testing starts too late. To solve these problems, we propose an interlocking design approach for virtual coupling using model-based system engineering (MBSE) methods. The core logic of interlocking is designed with the UML conceptual models. In addition, a model-based test approach is investigated for automatically generating and optimizing test cases. The experimental results show the effectiveness and adequateness of the proposed MBSEbased interlocking development methods for virtual coupling.

This paper proposes a high-speed path-tracking algorithm based on the deep deterministic policy gradient (DDPG) strategy with curvature adaptive ability applied to automatic driving. The tracking controller contains two mechanisms: the pure pursuit (PP) module and the model predictive control (MPC) module. The PP part works well in the small curvature road conditions, while the MPC can solve more complex problems. Thus, DDPG triggers the decision of which mechanism to use: PP works on regular roads or scenes with relatively small curvature, while it is switched to MPC control for complex scenarios by building the testing environments in CarMaker to validate the control performance of our method.

Aiming at the problems of nonlinearity, complexity and complex PID parameter tuning in the process of constant current and constant voltage charging of battery under traditional PID control, combined with the characteristics of RBF neural network, such as fast learning convergence speed and strong adaptive ability, a charge and discharge control method of battery based on RBF neural network PID is proposed. The simulation and verification are carried out in Matlab / Simulink environment. The results show that the system can achieve stability only with 0.2 s charging current and voltage, and the overshoot of the system is smaller, which can quickly react and run. Compared with the BP-PID control mode, the response speed is increased by 0.5 s, which ensures the quality of electricity and the service life of the battery. © 2022 IEEE.

The paper aims to develop an innovative and robust control system for stabilizing an inverted pendulum using a neural network controller. This combines principles of control theory with the power of artificial intelligence to address the complex and dynamic nature of the inverted pendulum problem. The controller used here is neural network model predictive controller. The data obtained from the plant model is used to train the neural network. Various numbers of hidden layers were given and their behaviour was analyzed and the one with the minimum error was chosen. The controller is trained to produce a result with the least amount of error by providing the reference signal and the error value as inputs. After the successful training, the neural network controller stabilizes the inverted pendulum model.

The widespread deployment of Unmanned Surface Vehicles (USVs) in military reconnaissance and oceanic exploration has underscored the need for sophisticated modeling and simulation technologies. Current studies primarily focus on simulations of individual systems, which often encounter difficulties with model integration and lack efficiency. This research utilizes the Modelica language and the MWorks platform to develop an advanced multi-domain modeling and simulation framework for USVs. This framework constructs an integrated model that includes the dynamics, control, power, transmission, and waterjet propulsion systems. The simulations, encompassing scenarios such as straight navigation, rotational maneuvers, reverse movements, and task-specific actions, highlight the model’s ability to adapt dynamically to complex marine environments. The efficacy of this model enhances USV design and autonomous operations, facilitating path planning and real-time obstacle avoidance, and sets the stage for further studies on collective control strategies.
