Maintaining balance by a person, despite the fact that it seems to be something completely natural, is a very complex process. It begins with a deep feeling, i.e. proprioception, resulting from the operation of the nervous system, which registers even slight movements of the body from an upright standing position and reacts to these deviations by activating appropriate strategies to regain balance. It is realized by sequential activation of antagonistic muscles, which, acting alternately, are responsible for correcting the posture. In such a case, when one of the muscles is responsible for initiating the movement, the other, acting in the opposite way, tries to slow down the movement. With appropriate simplifications, such a system can be presented as a mechanical system in the form of an inverted pendulum with an appropriate number of degrees of freedom. The antagonistic work of muscles in mathematical models of such systems is taken into account by using elastic and damping elements. It should be remembered, however, that with the appearance of disease processes or processes related to the aging of the human body, the values of the parameters describing these elements may change. The article presents how the change of elasticity and damping parameters generated by the muscles influences the simulation of maintaining the balance.

The use of intelligent agents, trained with reinforcement learning methods for control of complex mechanical systems, like humanoid robots has the potential to revolutionize the way we think about control problems. This way of learning is very similar to how we humans learn most of the things in our early age, thus proving really promising if we want to make robots able to learn tasks that require some form of intelligence. Throughout the research presented in this paper, a deep neural network based intelligent agent, with Actor-Critic architecture was trained with the Deep Deterministic Policy Gradient algorithm for the purpose of controlling a custom designed humanoid robot. For the training of the agent a simulation model of the physical robot is developed and integrated into a customizable simulated environment. The idea of low, actuator level control of complex systems by neural networks formulates the problem into a more abstract form while keeping the full control of the system without having to deal with the actual level of complexity. This can be further enhanced by expanding the abstraction from the software level to include some part of the hardware as well.

The reliability level of large aviation planetary mechanisms, serving as the cornerstone and essential component for various heavy aircraft transmission systems, significantly impacts aircraft affordability and service safety. Before predicting the fatigue performance of the gear transmission system, it is necessary to develop a comprehensive simulation model of the gear system and calculate the stress values for failure modes such as tooth contact fatigue and tooth root bending fatigue. In addition, By using hierarchical finite element technology, the coupling effect of the global elastic behavior of the system on the fatigue load history of the gear teeth is analyzed in depth, and accurate calculations are carried out based on this to fit the probability fatigue strength of the gear teeth. This provides both economical and efficient load and strength input variables for the construction of the system reliability prediction model, and innovatively establishes a new series system reliability model. Finally, the computational findings from the new model is contrasted with the traditional one to show the superiority of the proposed model.

Failure analysis is a fundamental part of system safety and reliability, and allows early design decision-making in order to extend the life of systems and avoid accidents. Currently, there are multiple standard methodologies for performing failure analysis, being FMECA (Failure Modes, Effects and Criticality Analysis) one of the best known and most applied in multiple sectors. However, the FMECA methodology is an extraordinarily complex and time-consuming task, especially in the case of electronic systems that contain a high number of components. Nowadays, for generating feasible FMECA analyses it is necessary to assume simplifications, hypotheses and subjective criteria that limit the scope of the analysis and drastically affect the quality and credibility of the results. Simulation and automation tools are an ideal and necessary complement to provide FMECA analyses with greater accuracy and less subjectivity in the results obtained, as well as greater efficiency in the time spent on the analysis.

In recent years, with the development of cloud computing and Internet of Things technology, earthquake observation technology has made tremendous progress. Tianjin earthquake agency developed a low-cost local magnetic field observation system based on cloud architecture to carry high-density deployed sensors. With the increasing deployment of sensors and the richness of application scenarios, existing access control models couldn't meet the needs of actual business development. The original access control technology was based on physical network security protocols and IoT device security chips. Although it could eliminate some security risks during the access process, there were still shortcomings that couldn't be well adapted to the needs of large-scale IoT device deployment environments. However, using complex access control models may result in neglecting the low local computing power of IoT geomagnetic field observation equipment. In order to solve the above problems, the project team conducted research and analysis on access control between geomagnetic observation devices based on fog computing and combined with blockchain technology. The IoT access control model suitable for geomagnetic observation network systems was designed based on research results. This model uses fog node agents to place the main work on the blockchain for completion and solve the problem of low computing power in some IoT devices. Through smart contracts, the model has achieved control over device access permissions, it provided an effective and secure method for IoT access control.

This paper investigates the identification and control of unstable, under-actuated systems with non-linear dynamic behaviour. Due to their instability and non-linear responses to conventional control techniques, these systems pose a particular challenge for precise modelling and effective control. To address these problems, we developed a methodical, model-based approach using rapid control prototyping (RCP), which is based on physical models and integrates the processes model-in-the-loop (MiL), software-in-the-loop (SiL) and hardware-in-the-loop (HiL). The methodological framework includes the identification of system dynamics using measurement data-based approaches and the verification of the models to ensure their accuracy. By applying these models to the specific example of the S-Mobile, a highly dynamic intralogistics system with a spherical electric drive, we demonstrate the effectiveness of the approach. The results show improved model accuracy and robust control of the system, emphasising its potential applicability in similarly complex technical systems.

Wheel-legged robots combine the high-speed movement of wheeled robots with the superior obstacle-navigation abilities of legged robots. To enhance the robot's resilience against disturbances and improve its ability to overcome obstacles, we developed a control scheme that decouples the control into two parts: posture control and balance control. First, the robot's dynamics were modeled using the Euler-Lagrange method. To manage external disturbances, an Adaptive Sliding Mode controller (ASMC) was designed to handle posture control. For balance control, a Linear Quadratic Regulator (LQR) was implemented to solve the Riccati equation in real-time, generating the necessary control torques to stabilize the robot. By combining these two control strategies, we present a framework that significantly improves the robot's mobility. Furthermore, tests conducted on a physical prototype demonstrated the effectiveness of the algorithm and the robot's disturbance rejection capability. The results confirm that the control scheme, which integrates ASMC and LQR, allows the wheel-legged robot to execute complex maneuvers and traverse uneven terrain with ease.

This paper investigates the control of fractional discrete computer virus model. By employing fractional-order difference equations, we capture the complex dynamics and long- term memory effects inherent in virus propagation. A novel control strategy is proposed to stabilize the system and suppress virus outbreaks. The stability analysis of the controlled system is conducted. Numerical simulations are presented to validate the effectiveness of the proposed control approach. The results underscore the importance of control in managing fractional-order systems and highlight its potential applications in cyber security and other fields requiring precise regulation of complex dynamics.
