Research results on the use of computers to solve simulation problems in a way closer to human thinking are reported. With the aid of techniques in artificial intelligence, database systems, and computer graphics, a set of general-purpose Lisp and Pascal based simulation tools have been developed. Each of these tools solves a specific problem in some stage of simulation. Rule-based and object oriented symbolic manipulations are extensively used. The tools provide more powerful and accurate modeling capability for complex objects, and permit simplicity and flexibility in implementation. They are used to study electrical transient problems, optimal load flow problems, linear controlsystems, and other simulation problems.< >

this article describes the methods of modeling the complex motion of heated billets in induction plants to improve the efficiency of the mathematical models. To ensure the uniformity of heating it is necessary to use different types of movement of the workpiece. The different types of the movement can be applied in induction heating processes: a rotating or reciprocating motion of the workpiece, the translational motion of the workpiece column. Often a combination of several types of movement requires. modeling these processes leads to excessive demands on computing resources. In the present article several methods of motion replacement by change of physical parameters or replacement of one complex motion by several simple ones are given. This approach can significantly increase the efficiency of computational experiments.

The paper presents the results of the comparative analysis of various methods for detecting and localizing race conditions in multithread systems with shared memory. The paper highlights the advantages of the static method, one of the effective implementations of which is an algorithm based on the analysis of a program presented as a control flow graph or one of its varieties-a joint flow execution graph. To solve applied problems, we carried out a software implementation of this algorithm, which served as the basis for developing a test program package for automated detection of race conditions in multithread systems. The reliability and efficiency of the program package is confirmed by the results of computer simulation illustrated using the Peterson algorithm.

The article is devoted to the development of information processing models of the organization of human motion control in the central nervous system (CNS). The CNS function, providing control of mechanical movements, is one of the oldest and most important ones for the survival of individuals. The study of the transformation of this function in living systems from the simplest to the highest in the evolutionary process, as well as the comparative availability of experimental studies of the manifestation of this function in humans, make it possible to formulate the basic principles of intelligent information processing in the organization of motion. Examples of the implementation of the proposed principles in the study of the functioning of complexsystems of different origin are given. The basis of the research and development of mathematical models is the theory of the levels of the Russian physiologist N.A. Bernstein, as well as his description of the main physiological information processes occurring in the human central nervous system in the organization of movement. The mechanisms of information processing at each level are described. A hierarchical description of a system for processing various types of information is presented. The variants of possible mathematical models of various levels of information processing are considered. The integration of these models in the process of motion control provides self-organization and adaptive properties for the given control objectives. The paper consider a dynamic system describing the perturbed motion of a descent probe with a small inertial asymmetry about the center of mass in the atmosphere of Mars. The aim of this work is to obtain an approximate discrete optimal control law of angular velocity of the probe. The dynamic programming method and the non-resonant averaging method are used in the synthesis of the angular velocity control law. The paper describes the development of a software complex based on the method of assessing information security (IS) risks of automated process controlsystems (APCS) at enterprises of the gas industry, which make it possible to increase the efficiency and control of the technological process. These enterprises are hazardous production facilities;their operation may include emergencies caused by insufficient security of the industrial control system. The proposed method considers the specific features of typical gas production enterprises, allowing identifying current threats and vulnerabilities in the system. Considering the characteristic requirements of providing IS of automation systems for gas production enterprises, actual classes of solutions for providing IS were considered, the most appropriate class was selected, and modern representatives of this class were considered. None of the listed solutions fully satisfied the requirements of providing IS for APCS of gas-producing enterprises. Consequently, a software complex was developed for hazard modeling and IS risk assessment that meets the specified requirements;the interface of the software is described.

A method is proposed for the linear and some nonlinear main inverse heat conduction problems. The method is based on the optimal control theory for objects with distributed parameters. The initial ill-posed inverse problem is reduced to a conditionally well-posed one which solution is maintained from the sought data of the initial problem and belongs to the class of continuous and continuously differentiable functions. Parameterization of the identifiable characteristics leads to the parameter optimization problem, which solution is based on the special alternance method and provides the optimal values of the vector of parameters.
