Intelligent Predictive systems for modeling PM10, Ozone, and Temperature Dynamics: A Forecasting Approach for Urban Air Quality in Delhi

Study investigates the relationship between PM10, ozone and temperature in Delhi's metropolitan areas, a densely populated and industrialized city with significant air pollution problems. Understanding the complex interactions between PM10 and ozone concentrations and climatic variables is the study's main objective. The data included PM10 and ozone concentrations as well as daily readings of the temperature, relative humidity, and other relevant meteorological factors. Regression modelling and correlation analysis is used to examine the relationship between PM10, ozone concentration and temperature. Machine learning approach is used to forecast the Ozone, PM10 and temperature by using the algorithm of auto regressive integrated moving average (ARIMA). Preliminary data indicates a clear relationship between ozone, PM10 concentration and temperature in Delhi's metropolitan areas. The results demonstrate a substantial correlation between these variables, where higher temperatures are linked to higher ozone concentrations and lower PM10 concentrations. Precursor pollutants are implicated in heat-induced photochemical reactions that culminate in the synthesis and deposition of ozone. Study examines the influence of several meteorological factors, such as solar radiation and relative humidity, on the relationship between ozone, PM10, and temperature by observing their past and predicated trends through the years 2018-2026. ARIMA model is used to forecast ozone, temperature, and PM10 levels in Delhi's urban environment that shows good accuracy. The predictions indicate a significant rise in ozone and PM10 concentrations in the coming years, highlighting the urgent need for effective mitigation measures to maintain air quality within national and international standards.

Based on the technological analysis of the production modules of the mechanical assembly area selected as the object of research, a circular assembly structure was proposed, which ensures the execution of operations with the complex, interconnected, and safe principle of its machines and the technological operations of the crane-manipulator. To ensure the automation of the working modules of the mechanical assembly flexible production area, the information provision in the form of a table of the types of technological measurement, execution, control and management system, its energy, functional and construction characteristics, according to the sequence of operations of the crane-manipulator, was created. The automation scheme of the application object was built based on the principles of the construction of the types of machines of the flexible production area, the crane-manipulator, their measurement, execution, and control system. The expediency of using the Petri net modeling method to analyze the structural scheme and functional operations of the flexible production area with computer experiments and to effectively evaluate its dynamic indicators is substantiated. To ensure the transition of the functional model to the dynamic model, in addition to the transition function of the Petri net, the modeling mechanism and control positions were determined, the decomposition of the mechanical assembly area was realized with the hierarchical Petri net, and the division of the functional model of the complex technological process into levels was ensured. At the 2nd level of the Petri hierarchical network, a general graph-scheme of the functional model of the crane-manipulator's turning-machine servicing operations was constructed and the values of the incidence matrices were determined. The tasks of the measuring information obtaining about the state of the blading section and structural elements of gas turbine engines, as typical representatives of high-power plants, in the process of their experimental research and testing are considered. Such measurements are usually characterized by extreme environmental conditions, complex shapes and multidimensional movements of the monitored surfaces, strict constraints on the number and location of primary transducers, etc. As a result, the required measurement information is obtained under the influence of a large number of interfering factors, which are not always available for direct measurements and consideration in the experimental data processing. The approach based on the modeling the immeasurable components counting the current parameters of the power plant mode and environmental conditions is considered as an alternative to the direct measurements. The use of online models allows (in addition to increasing the reliability of measurements) to evaluate the unique characteristics of the monitored object (e.g., changes in shape) and, in some cases, to predict its critical state. The examples of the practical implementation of the approach in specific measurement systems designed for bench testing of gas turbine engines are also given in the article. © 2024 Institute of Physics Publishing. Reliability of power transmission lines ensures the reliability of power supply to consumers. The accident rate and the number of power supply outages depend on the condition and quality of operation of power lines. At the same time, agricultural networks are characterized by the greatest length and low reliability. Consumers of all reliability categories are connected to distribution networks. Low reliability and high deterioration of agricultural distribution networks adversely affect the reliability of power supply to consumers. Improving power supply reliability for consumers of the agro-industrial complex will reduce interruptions in power supply, reduce direct economic and technological damage as well as the losses of power supply organizations as a result of decreasing the undersupply of electricity. From the foregoing, it follows that consumers and producers of electricity are interested parties in improving the reliability of power supply to consumers of the agro-industrial complex. The proposed circuit for monitoring failures of right triggering the automatic transfer switch unit will reduce the damage from undersupply of electric energy and increase the reliability of power supply to consumers of the agro-industrial complex. The implementation of the developed scheme will reduce the economic and technological damage to agricultural consumers. © 2023 IEEE.

This paper proposes a surrogate modeling-based optimization approach for solving complex engineering optimization problems. The main challenge is to use the surrogate model for evaluating computationally expensive and constrained problems. Kriging and radial basis function models are considered for modeling both performances and constrains. Penalty technique is considered for dealing with constraints. To show the efficiency of the proposed algorithms, obtained results are compared with the conventional equation-based particle swarm optimization (PSO) algorithm results. Accuracy and robustness of the approaches are also demonstrated. Experimental results indicate that the proposed approaches are promising for solving complex constrained optimization problems.

Artificial intelligence (AI) in converter control techniques has transformed power electronics. The integration improved power electronic system adaptability, performance, and efficiency. This research examines power electronics converter AI-driven control techniques in detail. When dealing with complex and nonlinear systems, conventional power converter control approaches like PID controllers are limited. Neural networks, fuzzy logic, and machine learning algorithms offer promising solutions to these problems. AI-driven control approaches are used to inverters, rectifiers, and DC-DC converters in the research. The benefits of AI include greater robustness to parameter fluctuations, harmonic distortion reduction, and transient response. Artificial intelligence allows adaptive and predictive control, enabling intelligent and self-governing power electronic systems. These include large datasets, complex training, and real-time computations. Overall, power electronics converters with AI-powered control techniques affect their design and operation. Power electronics and artificial intelligence offer new opportunity to construct smart, adaptive, and high-performing energy conversion systems. This research is essential for researchers, engineers, and practitioners interested in the latest advances in artificial intelligence and power electronics. © 2024 IEEE.

It is known that, in spite of a large number of methods for numerical solutions to various classes of problems, the choice of the most efficient method for solving a particular problem under specific values of its parameters requires a large number of comparative experiments. As a rule, end users tend to have difficulty both in carrying out such experiments, which require knowledge of the domain of applicability of various numerical methods, and in properly conducting the comparative analysis of the results, which is quite time-consuming. We carry out the analysis of techniques and algorithms for managing a computational process to solve difficult or complex optimization problems with the use of computer systems. In this work, for the class of multivariate optimization problems, we propose two approaches for facilitating the use of available applied software packages using modern multi-processor and/or multicore computer systems. One of the approaches involves the active work of the user with the optimization program package in dialogue mode. The other approach involves packet control by means of a specially developed control program in automatic mode. The work contains the protocols and results of computer-based experiments for the class of unconstrained optimization problems on the basis of the developed software package. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2024.

Methods of thermo-hydraulic calculation of gas networks of arbitrary complexity with a complex technological scheme and with a given fraction of hydrogen content in a mixture with natural gas are proposed. The problems of analysis of distribution networks in the optimization formulation are given - parametric and structural optimization is provided. Algorithms of the minimum complexity of their decision are offered. The developed algorithmic support for solving thermo-hydraulic problems allows, in addition to the proposed ones, to include the new necessary criteria for the optimal functioning of the considered networks. It is possible to analyze the distribution networks, gas transmission system and underground storage of hydrogen and its mixture with natural gas as a single thermohydraulic complex. The paper considers models and selected methods of stationary analysis of gas networks, which are relevant for many energy systems. The tasks of modeling a real large-scale gas distribution network are presented and discussed. The approach to modeling complex gas pipeline systems is to build and justify a set of interconnected mathematical models of pipeline network objects. © 2023, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG.

Aiming at the problems of limited accuracy of model and poor position control precision caused by complex deformation of Cable-Driven Continuum Robot(CDCR), a shape sensing and feedback control approach for CDCR is proposed based on the elastic magnetoelectric strain sensor. Kinematic model of robot was established based on the product of exponential (POE) formula. Based on physical characteristics of the sensor, the shape sensing model of the robot was proposed and Qualisys Track System was used for calibration. A module prototype was built to verify the effect of the perceptual feedback control algorithm. The experiment proves that the flexible perception method used in this paper is universal and accurate, and provides a valuable framework for real-time sensing control. © 2023 SPIE.
