The study aims at justifying the method for the development of placers by directed drilling of wells. A description is given of the opening of the site, the receding and oncoming scheme of the digging excavation, drilling and expansion of the wells, the main hydraulic unit with remote control. The physics-mechanical substantiation of technological parameters is given: hydro-jet erosion, the shape and size of the cleaning chambers, the adaptation of hydrotransport calculation methods. With jetting, the required flow rate and pressure of water to break rocks is based on the laws of soil mechanics. The parameters of the clearing space and the shape of the chambers are taken in accordance with the magnitude of the vault of natural equilibrium. As a determining factor in the calculation of gravity hydrotransport, the consistency of the pulp is adopted with observance of the condition necessary for the bearing capacity. To adapt the methodology for calculating the hydraulic lifting of pulp to the conditions of well development, the coefficient of dilution is taken as the main design parameter. modeling of jetting jet in the laboratory conditions was carried out, dependences of decrease in axial pressure were obtained at removal of the face from the nozzle. © The Authors, published by EDP Sciences, 2018.

This three-volume set of books highlights major advances in the development of concepts and techniques in the area of new technologies and architectures of contemporary information systems. Managing an organisation, especially in todays rapidly changing circumstances, is a very complex process. The paper proposes a novel idea for how to model and optimize uncertain problems of system of systems (SoS). Firstly, the background and necessity on researching SoS and its robust optimization under uncertainty are introduced. Secondly, preparatory models are constructed to model the aggregations and cooperation among SoS and are regarded as the main body of further studies. Subsequently, a scenario-based model to formulate uncertainties and a Markov-based model to simulate uncertainty evolutions of SoS are introduced. Then, a novel idea for how to solving robust optimization under uncertainties in single-stage and multi-stage is proposed. The methods of the researches can be applied to solve SoS problems under uncertainty in real world, such as transportation systems planning, power grid systems operation and competition considered financial cooperation etc.

The article outlines theoretical, methodological and practical issues of modern control and optimization theory, as well as the problems of nonlinear systems theory. Theoretical conclusions and results allowed to build mathematical models applicable to the management of objects of different nature with different principles of action, in particular, to the management of complex technical and technological objects that can be considered as nonlinear dynamic systems. The authors find it appropriate to consider nonlinear dynamic integral models as Volterra integro-power series from many functional arguments with multidimensional weight functions and a certain finite set of inputs to the system. The set of multidimensional kernels of integral Volterra operators completely characterizes the nonlinear and dynamic properties, and, consequently, the technical state of the initial system. The application of Volterra series based models allows to take into account the nonlinear and inertial properties of the initial nonlinear dynamic system more fully and accurately, it also makes the model diagnostic of a technical system more universal, raises the reliability of the forecast. The diagnostic procedure in this case is aimed at defining Volterra kernels based on the data of "input-output" experiment and building the diagnostic system of attribute in the space of which the decisive rule of optimal classification is created. © The Authors, published by EDP Sciences, 2018.

Rapid advances in material science and mobile technology bring the new generation of wearable electrocardiogram (ECG) sensing systems. In particular, sensing textiles have been widely used in cardiac monitoring due to its high flexibility and reusability. Unlike conventional gel electrodes, sensing textiles are non-adhesive, which provide comfortable and stress-free experience. However, the quality of textile-based ECG sensing is more sensitive to external factors (such as sensor placement and contact pressure). There is an urgent need to investigate how the quality of ECG sensing is influenced by these factors and improve the design of wearable textiles. In the literature, little has been reported on the sensitivity analysis of textile-based ECG sensing. In this study, we experimentally investigate the sensitivity of textile-based ECG sensing to four factors, i.e., contact pressure, textile placement, user's activity, and muscle activity. Specifically, ECG signals are collected using sensing textiles under these four factors. Then, heart rate and ECG morphology are characterized from the obtained ECG signals and compared with true signals (obtained from standard gel electrodes). Experimental results show that the quality of textile-based ECG sensing is not sensitive to the contact pressure as long as it is >6N. When the patient is walking, nevertheless, the sensing quality can be strongly influenced by the textile placement. Furthermore, textiles placed on areas with fewer muscles achieve better signal quality. This study shows strong potentials of textile materials for the design of wearable ECG systems to empower smart and connected cardiac health. © 2018 IEEE.

In case of complex processes, the identification of out-of-control states, observed on control charts, and their specific assignable causes are very complicated tasks. To overcome these difficulties artificial intelligence techniques have been used. Among these methods, the artificial neural networks can develop intelligence by using process data without need to expert opinion. This paper proposes an original method for process monitoring based on control chart exploration using artificial neural networks applicable for high batch size production requiring high sampling frequency. The developed approach helps to identify the out-of-control states and the corresponding process defects that lead to their occurrences. Attention is given to three most frequently observed cases in industrial practices: shifts, ascending and descending trends, and cyclic phenomena. The developed neural networks use back propagation algorithm and one hidden layer. A real industrial case of study was used to evaluate the recognition and identification performances of the developed artificial neural networks. Results have shown excellent recognition rates that reached percentages of identification of both process deviations and assignable causes higher than 90%. © Springer international Publishing AG 2018.

Time and cost overruns in new product development processes are often attributed to low quality information communication in early stages of the process when key decisions are made by individuals who have limited understanding of how micro-level decision-making can significantly affect macro-level system performance, that eventually leads to the phenomenon of "vicious circles" in new product development processes. Agent-based simulation is a promising approach that can be applied to understand complex systems, such as new product development processes. This paper reports an application of agent-based simulation to time-related aspects of vicious circles in a new product development process case study from a large UK-based manufacturing company. A simulation model was developed following an experimental method established in the research. In the model, work teams and their activities and contributions to the process are represented by autonomous agents. Initial simulation results showed agent-based simulation is an effective and efficient approach for understanding and studying vicious circles in new product development processes. © ISCIIA and ITCA 2018 - 8th international Symposium on Computational Intelligence and Industrial Applications and 12th China-Japan international Workshop on Information Technology and control Application.

We study a class of optimal control problems for measure-driven differential equations with rate independent hysteresis. The hysteresis is modeled by an evolution variational inequality equivalent to the action of play operator generalized to the case of discontinuous inputs of bounded variation. A method to obtain optimality conditions for impulsive processes is proposed.
