For the airlines, safety is the foundation for their existence and development. Therefore, the management of risks is one of the most important parts of daily airline management. Uncertain factors such as weather changes, aircraft failures, and employee status all contribute to the occurrence of various types of aviation accidents. How to find, manage, and avoid risks through the improvement of management methods, the analysis of operational data and the application of various technical tools is the problems faced by most airlines. Taking Xiamen Airlines as an example, this article thoroughly studies the theory and methods of airline operations assessment and risk management based on the Analytic Hierarchy Process(AHP). Through the research on various elements involved in aviation operations, the comprehensive application of risk management, safety science theories and methods of complexsystems and computer modeling, we have proposed the design and implementation of airline operational risk assessment model construction and monitoring systems based on AHP. Thus, timely warnings can be made and control measures can be taken during routine management to improve the company's safety management level and operational support capabilities.

The software package for modeling of non stationary flows of non-equidistant events is presented. With the use of this package the ensemble of trajectories of non equidistant and non-stationary time series, when both the flow of event and a set of event values are non-stationary, is generated. The functional, depending on trajectory realization, is analyzed. The concept of filtration of stationary component of events flow is realized.

The paper presents the approach to the car buffering problem in the paint shop from the perspective of modern industrial plant requirements. The control of buffering process is connected with sequencing problem. A sequence, in which car bodies are painted is particularly important, because the minimization of the number of painting guns changeovers results in minimizing production costs. The problem of car sequencing has been widely considered in the literature. However, a large number of assumptions and simplifications, made by the researchers, make it impossible to apply developed solutions in practice. The paper considers the car sequencing issue taking into account problems that occur on the production line in the real paint shop. After presenting the algorithm, used in the analyzed plant, four sequencing algorithms, used to define the output sequence from the buffer, are discussed. Two algorithms are modifications of the well known scheduling heuristics - that are SPT and LPT methods. Based on these rules and follow-up control idea two new algorithms are proposed. The input sequence is determined in one of two ways. The correctness of the car body buffer control in the paint shop was verified in the test carried out using innovative method - virtual commissioning. The aim of the research was to identify the most effective methods that will be developed in the future. During tests, the buffer flow was monitored in order to identify unfavorable buffering situations deemed unacceptable in real conditions. The most unfavorable cases are presented and discussed in the article.

Collaborative work is a complex activity that involves several actors thus managing it is complicated. This article addresses some matters of controlling collaborative work in the point of view of process management. The underlying objective is to discuss the issues from modeling to enacting collaborative processes in existing process management systems. To overcome the discussed problems, we are developing a process management framework that integrates directly the concept of collaborative task into both modeling language and enacting mechanism. Moreover, we propose a flexible approach that enables users to choose dynamically a suitable way to enact their collaborative tasks.

This paper proposes the design of a rule-based controller developed from a fuzzy controller to be applied in a DC motor position control. The Rough Set Theory is a mathematical tool capable of generating a set of rules for a dynamic system. One of the main problems of fuzzy controllers is the computation time, higher than conventional controllers, due to complex operations such as fuzzification and defuzzification. In order to reduce the processing time, a rough controller composed of a set of rules and a simpler computational structure is defined. A PID controller is initially obtained with the Ziegler-Nichols method for gain adjustment, which is used in the design of a fuzzy controller with better performance and serves as a model in the design of rough controller. Computational simulations were performed in less time with the rough controller, which also guaranteed stable conditions and dynamic system characteristics.

By means of wave filtering a dynamic positioning system for ships can be developed which does not counteract high-frequency, wave induced oscillatory ship motion. For high-performance and energy-efficient operation, the wave filtering parameters must be adjusted according to the environmental conditions. This prevents unnecessary wear and tear of the propulsion system while still achieving a high level of control performance. If the characteristics of the wave disturbance vary during operation, an online update of the filter parameters is required in order to maintain the control performance. The filter parameter which is significantly influenced by the varied wave spectrum is the peak frequency of the wave-induced oscillatory ship motion. Hence, the online estimation of the peak frequency is the topic of this paper. The approach adopted is to determine the peak frequency based on the parameter identification of a low order auto regressive model. The practical problems that arise are addressed and modifications are proposed. The algorithms shown are tested and compared on the basis of real experiments on a model scaled ship with Voith-Schneider Propellers. The results show the improved reliability of the proposed detail solutions in terms of numerical robustness and capability for practical real-time application in continuous operation.
