In this paper, we propose an extension to the existing Model Predictive control scheme for tracking. This extension is able to provide a solution for the case where the set of steady-state admissible outputs is non-convex. This is achieved by means of a transformation that maps the output set into a convex set. In the proposed scheme, the cost function and constraints of the usual tracking MPC are modified, so that the controller can drive the system to any point in the admissible steady-state domain without violating any constraints. The paper discusses the feasibility and stability of the proposed approach and a final simulation demonstrates the effectiveness of the approach. Ball Balancing Robots (BBRs) are a class of robots capable to balance themselves over a sphere. With the right modeling and planning of trajectories, they can move towards every direction in the horizontal plane of movement. This work gathers construction aspects, modeling and design of a stabilizing controller. modeling a BBR is a complex work, since they are often under-actuated systems and the actuators are not aligned with the coordinates system, making necessary torques and velocities transformations. Practical results are presented in order to validate the modeling and control design.

A parallelized multi-solver algorithm based on Robin transmission condition (MS-RTC) is developed on distributed computing systems. To solve large and complex electromagnetic problems using the MS-RTC method, the object with its background is partitioned into multiple non-overlapping subdomains based on their respective material properties, which are modeled by either the finite element method or the method of moments (MoM). Each subdomain problem in the MS-RTC method is solved in parallel to achieve a better efficiency. In particular, for the subdomains modeled by the MoM, the parallelized multilevel fast multipole algorithm is applied to accelerate the computation on many processors. Numerical examples are given to show the parallel efficiency and modeling capability of the proposed algorithm.

The present paper explores the error estimation for piecewise approximation of nonlinear systems using convolution integral. The base for the proposed method is the relationship between convolution integral and z-transform. The problem of error estimation is simplified using complete system decomposition to two elementary dynamic blocks - integral (zero pole) and first-order (one real pole). For each block, possible cases of changes in their parameters are considered- one parameter in the integration block and up to two parameters in the first-order block. Theoretical principles confirmed by computer simulation using the simple model also been presented.

This paper discusses the issue of dynamic modeling for a flexible robot. The case of a flexible single-link manipulator is considered. modeling work, which is limited to the reduced number of finite elements, represents some problems like the non-reality of dynamic behavior and the degradation of control performance. In order to remedy these problems, we the determination of the dynamic model based on Lagrange's equation and finite element method with a number of six finite elements has been proposed.
The paper considers the issue of supplying autonomous robots by solar batteries. Low efficiency of modern solar batteries is a critical issue for the whole industry of renewable energy. The urgency of solving the prob...

The purpose of this paper is to identify a problem in Grid resource discovery models that affect the overall performance of grid computing. Since, Grid resources are scattered in different geographical locations on heterogeneous platforms and within various administrative policies. Finding resources in grid computing is an actual and complex task. The paper identifies some problems in the Grid resource discovery models. In addition, deals with the application of the mathematical apparatus to calculate the reliability and performance of GRID systems and application of a permanent matrix for calculating the reliability of distributed computing systems based on GRID.

This paper takes advantages from probability theory and fuzzy modeling. We use probability theory to overcome some common problems in data based modeling methods. A probability based clustering method is proposed to partition the hidden features, and extract fuzzy rules with probability measurement. An optimization method are applied to train the consequent part of the fuzzy rules and the probability parameters. The proposed method is validated with two benchmark problems.
