The electric drives based on DC collector motors, which orient the solar cells perpendicular to the normal of the incident solar rays, are extremely widespread in solar engineering (along with stepper motors) due to a wide range of speed control, simple controllability and relatively high energy efficiency. To extract the maximum amount of energy, it is necessary to carry out a qualitative control of the electric drive. modeling is an important stage in the practical design and application of solar controlsystems. Existing approaches, as a rule, ignore some important nonlinear properties of the electric drive. These nonlinearities can play a very important role in the management of solar actuators, which operate under different conditions and require high accuracy of operation, therefore, necessitate a non-linear approach in modeling. In other words, to ensure effective control in the design of control, nonlinearities must be taken into account. The purpose of the article is to synthesize a complex model of a servomotor DC drive, taking into account nonlinear properties.

Critical Infrastructure systems (CISs) play an essential role in our life, when disasters, attacks, failures happen, such complexsystems are expected to be reliable and safety, even react to undesirable accidents. modeling CISs and developing methods to analyze their safety and dependability is of utmost importance. CIS modeling formalisms must be able to describing both discrete and continuous quantities, a hybrid system modelling approach is natural. In this work, CISs are modeled from two aspects: logic and continuous;Adaptive fuzzy Petri nets (AFPN) and neural networks are combined in our framework, where AFPN is adopted to model the logic parts, and dynamic neural networks are applied to continuous parts. Two hybrid system examples are illustrated to show the effectiveness of the proposed approach.

This paper provides a game theoretical characterization of information supervisory controlproblems. Information supervisory control deals with indirect control of human behavior by controlling information distribution. For an arbitrary game, we consider an agent outside the game called a supervisor. It can provide the players with information about the game, which results in change in their information structures and hence possible outcomes. The supervisor's controllability is defined as its ability to achieve the players' behaviors as intended. We present a general model and then analyze its particular class which we call state-dependent team collaborations. We discuss the possibility of information supervisor as a decision support system in such situations.

In this paper the function of the initial heating has been received;the mathematical modeling of the process has been conducted as well as the analysis of the results. With the help of the obtained regulator hardware and software complex has been designed in the Pascal programming language, the complex allows to simulate the behavior of the temperature fields in the isotropic rod. The article presents the simulation of the temperature process for different configurations of the system. Namely, there is simulation with different number of impulsive heating sources with the relay control principle. The practical results of these studies suggest the possibility of building silicon carbide heating element, made in the form of an isotropic rod.

With the aim to tackle the problems of the local shape adjustment and shape control of quartic Q-Ball curves, we propose two direct subdivision algorithms for quartic Q-Ball curves, which include coefficient subdivision and tangent subdivision. According to the two subdivision algorithms, the corresponding modeling examples are respectively given. Studies show that the sub-curves are independent and have no influence on other sub-curves in shape adjustment, which realize the local shape adjustment of the quartic Q-Ball curves and maintain the geometric meaning of shape parameters. The modeling examples show that the proposed subdivision algorithms are effective and easy to implement, which greatly improve the abilities to express complex curves in shape design by adjusting the position and shape of quartic Q-Ball curves.

This paper presents the simplified modelling approach to characterize sudden load disturbance in WirelessHART™. Two approaches are presented. The model was firstly formulated through Laplace transformation, where the resulting integral equation renders non-linear optimization problems into simple linear optimizations. Experiments were conducted on a coupled tanks system connected through the WirelessHART™ protocol. Based on the initial fit to the experimental results, the second model then places two locally affine relationships, one for the load flow disturbances, and the other for the level measurements to the responses. The extended locally affine model gave on average a 25% reduction in errors, compared to the Laplace-based method, while better captured the non-linear effects resulting from the WirelessHART™.

Mobile robot modeling is a challenging task especially for vehicles with complex nonlinear dynamics. Quadcopter UAVs are agile systems that are often described with a nominal nonlinear model that neglects various complicated dynamic phenomena for the sake of easier analysis and control design. This simplification leads to limiting the vehicle performance. To overcome this issue, an iterative learning approach is presented where a nominal representation of the system dynamics is used in conjunction with flight trials to improve performance. The objective is to learn to aggressively navigate a quadcopter through a course while avoiding obstacles. The performance is assessed by overall navigation time. The trajectory is optimized iteratively by blending an approximate gradient from the simplified nominal model with actual realized flight trajectories. The resulting optimization is a quadratic program, which can be solved efficiently. High fidelity quadcopter simulations with multiple test cases show significantly improved performance through repeated trials.

In the paper, principles of constructing systems and functional abilities of information support of human-operators (IOSS) of power units of nuclear power plants (NPP) and their place within the system of upper unit-level of automated process controlsystems (APCS) of NPP. The purpose of implementation of the NPP IOSS is preventing or decreasing the frequency and heaviness of operator errors appearing under transients and non-regular situations, when human-operators perform under the conditions of lack of the time, fast change of the actual status, and huge volumes of information, conditioning the excessively high work load. The article proves the urgency of studying the models of the uranium mining process by the method of underground leaching, which will allow to evaluate the dynamics of the technological process. More and more attention is paid to the modeling of the process of underground leaching (ISL), with the aim of solving the problems of raising the effectiveness of the process under consideration. The problems of extraction of underground leaching are described, the current state and description of the technology, connection with management problems is very actual development of new systems using the simulation results of the ISL process in the control loop. The article considers that there is an optimal pressure on the pumping wells according to the chosen criterion. Models of searching for the solution of the required flow rate for a quench well providing the maximum productivity of the solution at the outlet are constructed. In the paper, the tasks of determining the initial hydrodynamic parameters of wells and seams after conducting special investigations of wells with the use of deep instruments and information measuring instruments are solved.

This paper presents optimal control of uncertain switched systems in presence of the external disturbance and parametric uncertainty and generally every uncertainty due to modeling error. In this paper, the switching signal is selected a priori and control input is designed to minimize a given cost function. Discrete Linear Quadratic (DLQ) control has been efficiently applied to certain systems as an optimal control. There would seem to be some difficulties to apply discrete linear quadratic control to uncertain switched system. To overcome the problems, this paper presents an appropriate model. Then uncertainties of the uncertain switched system are compensated by robust time-delay controller. Then control input is designed by discrete linear quadratic control. The stability analysis and simulation verify effectiveness of the proposed control approach.
