Solving the problem of measuring the parameters of movement of the complicated flexible constructions is suggested. Choosing setting points of inertial sensors and the processing techniques of the measurements is optimized, allowing the evaluation of existing elastic strains. The problem is solved step-by-step. In the beginning of investigation there may not be present a detailed information on construction, properties of substances of details, methods of their machining and joint. In this case it is suggested to use algorithm of account of shapes and angles of the elastic deformation, based on outcomes of full-scale, model or computer experiment. On the basis of this information advisories on installation of sensors on a construction are stated. Algorithms of selection of the information on evolution of separate modes of elastic oscillations in service are offered. Summation of these modes allows evaluating stress-strain curves of construction in real time. As an example outcomes of probes of strains for a complex aerospace construction are given.

Surveillance applications require reliable monitoring system architectures and cost-efficient in-network data processing mechanisms able to provide effective information extraction for event tracking. Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs) appear to be the most suitable technology due to some well known benefits and the rapid development of embedded devices. Current research is mostly focused on improving and developing new decentralized sensor fusion schemes able to overcome the limitations introduced by the battery operated sensor nodes, but most of the time evaluating the proposed algorithms is performed with a serious lack of precise channel modeling. To close this gap, we provide a stochastic consensus implementation for lossy wireless networks comprising fixed and mobile sensor nodes, as a heterogeneous surveillance system based on ground sensor nodes and UAVs (Unmanned Aerial Vehicles). We developed a simulation framework tailored for fixed and mobile sensor nodes and we are able to evaluate the performance of consensus algorithms from a comparative standpoint, considering deterministic and probabilistic packet propagation models described by common models such as Free Space and Nakagami models. In this paper, we consider a complex in-network adaptive estimation using the distributed least-mean square algorithm tailored for WSN. We perform a mean-square error (MSE) performance analysis for both deterministic and probabilistic propagation models.

This paper presents an application of a Neural Network for maximum power point tracking(MPPT) of PV supplied DC motor. A variation of solar radiation is most important factor in the MPPT of PV system. That is nonlinear, aperiodic and complicated. NN was widely used due to easily solving a complex math problem. The paper consists of solar radiation source, DC-DC converter, DC motor and load. NN algorithm applies to DC-DC converter through an adaptive control of neural network and calculates converter-chopping ratio using an adaptive control of NN. The results of an adaptive control of NN compared with the results of converter-chopping ratio which are calculated mathematical modeling and evaluate the proposed algorithm. The experimental data show that an adequacy of the algorithm was established through the compared data.

A method for using the extended Kalman filter to identify the modal parameters of vibration controlled structures has been developed and demonstrated. The closed-loop structural vibration system is excited by a known of unknown excitation signal and the resulting time histories of the closed-loop systems response are analyzed. The present method has the advantage that the physical parameters of the system are directly estimated. The numerical examples showed excellent results and it is expected that the present method can be applied to the on-orbit modal testing of controlled space structures.
