Artificial transportation system is critical to parallel transportation management. At its kernel is the agent-based computation which simulates individual's travel behaviors via disaggregated models and "grows" complex traffic scenarios for computational experiments. However, as a common problem, there still lacks a general calibration method for its agent travel behavioral models. Motivated by this, the paper proposes a calibration method for agent-based travel model in artificial system, which correlates macro traffic data with micro behavioral model parameters. The behavioral model is calibrated by two data sources from real urban transportation: link traffic counts and Automatic Vehicle Identification data. Our results indicate that the proposed method can help receive a reasonable model and be applied in general calibration problems.

Current harmonics are the major concern in modern equipment. In this paper, an adaptive radical basis function neural network (RBFNN) is proposed to deal with dynamic tracking error problems which are the mathematic model uncertain or complex for the three-phase active power filter (APF). APF is necessary to compensate the harmonics exits in the nonlinear load to maintain the supply current stabilization. The adaptive RBFNN systems are employed to approximate the unknown system function in the sliding mode controller. The simulation results of APF demonstrate the outstanding compensation performance and strong robustness.

Purpose is to justify the need of automation of production of oil and gas. Practice of automation of production management shows unresolved problems for the majority of enterprises. This article is dedicated to modeling of the emission device of industrial radio interference based on the clock generator, which in real devices is the most common cause of electromagnetic compatibility problems. The device under test consists of a clock generator and two inverters connected through long printed conductors. Simulation results are obtained in CST Microwave Studio, with the simulation conditions close to measuring the emitted interference according to the standards. The results obtained are compared with the actual experiment in an semi-anechoic chamber. It is shown that the simulation of the device and the subsequent correct measurement of the parameters of emitted fields make it possible to obtain a fairly accurate approximation to the measurement results carried out in a semi-anechoic chamber of a real device at a lower cost. Such a method will allow identifying electromagnetic compatibility problems in the device at the development stage.

The cerebellum plays a big role in motor control and motor coordination in mammals, especially for limbs control. Therefore, many cerebellar models were proposed to be applied in the field of robotic arm control. However, some problems exist in the current cerebellar modeling approach, such as lack of the expression of bio-characteristics, limited learning ability et al. Therefore, a distributed cerebellar-inspired learning model was proposed to mimic the physiology and anatomy features of the cerebellum. Meanwhile, this model could learn to adjust the motor command according to the error information provided by the inferior olive to achieve control goal. To test the performance of the cerebellar model, a robotic arm control system was implemented. The results showed that our model was able to complete the robotic arm control tasks successfully.

Technology of maximum power point tracking (MPPT) is the key issue for light volt generating under varying insolation and shading conditions. The maximum power point need to be dynamically changed when environmental condition is transformed from one to another avoiding local maximum power constantly, and a conventional adaptive maximum power controller is specifically designed for maintaining operation of the photovoltaic system at the maximum power point. Traditional MPPT technology cannot rapidly locate the global maximum power point reaching an impasse of global maxima. This paper studies a type of adaptive weight inertia variation cat swarm algorithm, which is realized by photovoltaic battery output voltage and the load voltage matching control, and achieves the maximum power output in the power system. Characteristic curves with multiple peak values present under the interference of numerous complex factors. This article expounds the algorithm solved the partial shade of multiplex mode optimization problems which is unable to realize by the traditional tracking. How to realize the maximum power point tracking is the key research for quasi-Z-source inverters in photovoltaic system. Modern control theory has been applied successfully in a wide variety of engineering disciplines for decades. In sharp contrast to this situation, however, there are fields like ecology where control methodologies have not been so successful in practice. This largely due to the poor quality of models that are available and the limited amount of reliable data that can be gathered. An emerging set of control techniques known collectively as data-driven control appears to be a natural candidate for controlproblems in such fields. The main objective of this paper is to describe one such algorithm based on recent advances in the modeling of nonlinear input-output systems in terms of Chen-Fliess series or Fliess operators. The idea is to combine a class of discrete-time Fliess operator approximators with a standard least-squares algorithm found in adaptive control to produce a time-varying input-output model that can be used to do predictive control. As an illustration, the method is applied to a predator-prey model in order to control the population level of the prey species.

Hand pastures can be used to achieve friendly human-machine interaction (HMI) for the advantages of simple expressions, informative instructions and unconstrained operations. However, most previous postures estimation methods have problems such as poor real time performance, low estimation accuracy, being sensitive to the varying illumination and relying on marks on hands or special assistant devices. In this paper, we will introduce an efficient real-time method to estimate hand postures with an ordinary monocular camera. This method contains two stages, which are hand segmentation and postures recognition. Rather segment objects from the whole image, we locate the hand within a local area first and then adapt motion, color and contour informations to segment the hand region accurately. After that, template matching algorithm is used to recognize hand postures with fingertips and shape features. The experimental results demonstrated that the introduced method realizes high estimation accuracy and fast processing speed. Furthermore, the method is robust to varying illumination conditions.

Optimization of complex real-time controlsystems often requires efficient response to any system changes over time. By combining pattern search optimization with a fast estimated Gaussian Process model, we are able to perform global optimization more efficiently for response surfaces with multiple local minimums or even dramatic changes over the design space. Our approach extends pattern search for global optimization problems by incorporating the global and local information provided by an additive global and local Gaussian Process model. We further develop a global search method to identify multiple promising local regions for parallel implementation of local pattern search. We demonstrate our methods on a standard test problem.
