Two approaches to the calculation of structural management of the technological complex of the economy are considered: consolidated – using the optimizing model of multi-product reproduction and local – using the balance model of final consumption. The models use vector input-output balance ratios, a method for solving bilinear programming problems with additional constraints, methods for such transformations and spectral analysis of technological matrices, and algorithms for finding stable solutions. The justifications of the developed methods and proofs of their correctness are given. The novelty of the models lies in the choice of the productivity criterion, the formulation of the optimization problem with the control vectors of output volumes and prices, as well as in the developed apparatus for calculating macroeconomic indicators and analyzing the results. The models under consideration have been brought to software implementation. Calculations were made using statistical data of the Russian Federation. The results obtained make it possible to evaluate the effect of the proposed restructuring approaches, as well as to compare them.

The increased demand for agricultural land and the more frequent occurrence of extreme weather conditions lead to increased greenhouses usage in agriculture. Greenhouses offer an efficient alternative to traditional agriculture as all environmental parameters are controlled, leading to a higher yield per land use. In older greenhouses, the different environmental factors are set manually, resulting in unfavorable climate conditions due to over- and undershoots of the factors. Optimizing environmental conditions, closed-loop controlsystems (CLCS) are used to reduce the susceptibility to over- and undershoots as well as to disturbance variables. The greenhouse actuators respond to various input values bringing changes to the environmental parameters. For controlling the actuators, artificial intelligence (AI) offers the potential to control the environmental parameters more accurately than a simple CLCS. With the help of predicting the influence of actuators regarding the greenhouse climate, AI-based climate systems might outperform CLCS systems and human experts. This paper provides an overview of the different architectures in which AI is used for controlling complexsystems and discusses its potential for greenhouses. The results will show that AI offers the possibility for yield increase and resources saving.

Automotive control algorithms have been moving from traditional, rule-based control algorithms to optimal, model-based control algorithms. While the model-based algorithms have shown to provide better control performance over a wide range of use cases with reduced calibration efforts, it is challenging to integrate multiple model-based controllers that are developed independently to address different control objectives. In this work, a nonlinear model predictive engine controller designed for torque tracking is integrated with a reference governor-based driveline controller designed to reduce vehicle drivability problems known as clunk and shuffle. The design of both controllers is discussed and their individual performance is demonstrated for real-world test conditions and realistic driving scenarios. Then, the integration between the two optimal controllers is discussed and a proof of concept use case showing the coordinated control between the two optimal controllers is presented. The results illustrate that without coordination between the two controllers neither of them are able to meet their original control objectives.

Currently, we can see the significant variety of processed information and the unprecedented rate of increase in its volumes as well as the ambiguity of the assessment of situations, errors in the choice of priorities, and inconsistency of requirements. All of this contribute to the increasingly frequent emergence of situations with insufficiently identified or detected conditions and with an uncertain goal in various areas, namely, problems. Often problems are amorphous formations, without (or with partial) pre-assignment and formulation. It is urgent now to train future specialists, which will be able to identify problems, formulate them and overcome them within team working. Hence, the development of models and methods for identifying the structure of the problem is relevant either for education and training of future personnel or for researchers and developers of decision support systems regarding complex practical problems in social, economic, and production systems. To transform the development of complexsystems, developers leverage model-based design by systematically using models throughout the entire process. Simulink model is a block diagram environment used to design systems with multi-domain models, simulate before implementation. Keeping different versions of Simulink models is important for the evolution of the design of a complex system. However, the existing state-of-the-art approaches and tools for version control (VC) and configuration management (CM) for the models are still limited to text-based, which treats the source code of the models as texts. This hinders the understanding of model evolution due to the mismatch between the developers' intention and text-based modeling of changes. We propose SIMUV, a VC/CM system that integrates the graph structures of the Simulink models and represents the model's entities and their changes explicitly.
