In modern times, stochastic large-scale multi-agent systems (MAS) aimed at supporting socio-economic planning are being developed. There is a well known problem of a high computational complexity task of an optimal control for multiple agents’ behaviour in models of random interactions. In particular, agents (such as sellers and buyers) should make individualised decisions on establishing interconnections to exchange products, money or information at each moment of time. Such decisions affect the values of agents’ utility functions that, as a rule, should be maximised. In fact, each agent forms the set of individual states that define whether or not the interaction with other agents is allowed at moments of time. As a result, the dynamic programming method should be applied at the individual level of each agent maximising its own utility function, that is the extremely complex task. To overcome appropriate difficulties and seek suboptimal individual decisions in such MAS, a novel parallel hybrid real-coded genetic algorithm has been developed. The proposed hybrid method combines the use of the real-coded genetic algorithm (RCGA) for an evolutionary search, particle swarm optimisation for reducing the necessary number of model recalculations and periodically engaging ANN-based surrogate models for the fitness-function approximation. The approach allows researchers to significantly improve the time-efficiency of seeking optimal individualised decisions in MAS while keeping up their quality. Moreover, the distribution type can be one of the decision variables used in RCGAs for maximising the utility function. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2025.

In this paper, a series of solutions based on geometric models and optimisation algorithms are proposed for the problem of motion optimisation of complex motion systems in space. Firstly, a mathematical model based on the helix equation is constructed, the position of each motion node is calculated using the polar coordinate system and recurrence relation, and the velocity of the node is calculated by the differential method [1]–[2]. In order to determine the time for the system to move along the helix to the termination point, a collision detection model is introduced in this paper, which combines the space division technique with an iterative algorithm to accurately locate the collision moment [3]–[4]. Subsequently, a pitch optimisation model is established with collision avoidance and boundary conditions as constraints, and the optimal pitch is solved by an iterative method [5]. In addition, a geometric relationship-based optimisation model for the turnaround curve was designed, and the curve length was optimised using the Powell optimisation algorithm [6]. Finally, this paper constructs a speed relation model under the maximum speed constraint to optimise the maximum travel speed of the system using the dichotomy method [7]–[8]. The accuracy of the model is verified by numerical differentiation, and the proposed method effectively solves the path optimisation and speed control problems of the motion system.

The rate of penetration (ROP) is a critical indi-cator for evaluating drilling efficiency. Developing an accurate ROP model is essential for optimizing drilling performance and addressing process control challenges. However, ROP modeling in deep geological drilling is complicated by nonlinearity, diverse working conditions, and high-dimensional variations. To overcome these challenges, a fusion modeling approach for ROP is proposed. First, the fuzzy C-means clustering method is applied to classify drilling data into different working con-ditions. Based on this classification, support vector regression is employed to develop ROP sub-models, effectively addressing nonlinearity. To further enhance model accuracy, an improved dung beetle optimization algorithm (IDBO) is designed to deter-mine optimal model parameters and integrate the sub-models, thereby resolving issues related to multiple working conditions and high-dimensional variations. The IDBO incorporates four key enhancements, average weight, chaos disturbance, modified local search, and re-updating of the best solution, to strength-en its global search capability. Comparative results using the IEEE CEC2017 benchmark test functions demonstrate that the proposed algorithm outperforms others in 12 test functions, highlighting its strong global optimization ability. Additionally, results from real-world drilling data validate the effectiveness of the proposed modeling approach in practical applications. © 2025 IEEE.

The application of intelligent traffic management systems relies chiefly on the detection and recognition of the license plate of vehicles. Convolutional Neural Networks (CNNs) have typical use when such identification is performed because that can recognize complex patterns in images. However, the existing methodological system such as OKM-CNN has proven viability-related challenges, which include license plates with different languages, motion blur, and different lighting conditions familiar with real circumstances. In addition, the models have been designed with fixed sets, which limit their flexibility and adaptability in various situations. The core objective of this research work is to solve the above addressed problems by proposing a system that integrates CNN classifier with Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) technique. The recognition power of the patterns creates the potential to recognize features involved in license number plates and their characters. PSO is such an approach, inspired by bird movement in a flock, to tune the settings of CNN automatically. This merger enables the system to make more accurate identification of license plates during challenging situations while cars are running. The outcome is a highly precise, flexible, and contextually suitable model ready for modern traffic management systems.

Aiming at the problems of stability and efficiency of full-width cross-axis cutting in large section semi-coal rock roadway under complex geological conditions, a shield type intelligent driving robot system is developed, and a new shield type full-width cross-axis cutting system was proposed. The body structure model of the cutting system was constructed, and the mechanical model of the full-width transverse axis drum of the cutting system, the mechanical coupling model of "cutting robot - rectangular shield - top and bottom wall rock", and the force transfer mechanism in the cutting process of the drum were established. The stability condition of the cutting system is determined according to the relationship between the stability moment and the jumping moment of the cutting system, and the stability coefficient model of the cutting system when the shield and the roof are coupled is established. The Adams simulation model of the cutting system is established, and the cutting performance of the coal rock with hardness of f6 is simulated, and the stability coefficient is always greater than 1.1. The simulation and industrial test results show that the shield type full width transverse axis cutting system has characteristics of good stability, cutting efficiency and high forming quality. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2025.

Train control Center (TCC) is the hub of the information interaction of the column control system. It is the core system that ensures the safety of railway driving and ensure transportation efficiency. The traditional manual test method has many problems, such as high test cost, long time-consuming and low efficiency, and great influence of human subjective factors. This paper uses computer simulation technology to build a simulation test system. By analyzing the information interaction between the column control center and other devices, the computer simulation technology is used to build the simulation test system simulation control system operation. This system can intuitively reflect the performance of the column control system, which is convenient to optimize and adjust the design scheme, make theoretical guidance for the establishment of the real control system. According to the functional test requirements of TCC, this paper uses Colored Petri Net (CPN) to establish a hierarchical model for the simulation test system of the train control center. Taking the temporary speed limit scene test as an example, the formal modeling of the simulation test system through CPN can avoid the ambiguity caused by the specification description, improve the timeliness and safety of the system, help to find the problems that may occur in the design specification, manufacturing and operation of the system, and provide some reference for the design of the real train control system.

This paper proposes an innovative flood control simulation and early warning system integrating computer simulation and building information modeling (BIM). The system combines deep learning technology with water flow simulation, uses long short-term memory network (LSTM) to model and predict historical water level data, and combines the three-dimensional terrain information provided by the BIM model to dynamically evaluate the water flow and flood spread risks. Through this innovative algorithm, the system can achieve accurate flood prediction according to different scenarios and conditions, and improve the timeliness and accuracy of early warning. In the experimental part, a reservoir was used as a case for verification. The results showed that the LSTM-based algorithm improved the prediction accuracy by $\mathbf{2 0 \%}$ compared with the traditional regression prediction method, and the computational efficiency was improved by 15 %. Compared with traditional methods, the water conservancy flood control early warning system integrating BIM and deep learning is more stable and efficient under complex terrain. This study provides new ideas for intelligent decision-making in the field of water conservancy and flood control. It is not only highly practical, but also provides technical support for further promoting intelligent water conservancy management and disaster prevention and control.

This paper addresses the development of efficient methods for controlling polymer synthesis processes using heuristic optimization techniques. To solve the problem of determining optimal conditions for complex chemical-technological processes, a genetic algorithm is proposed. The key stages of its implementation are defined using modern software development tools. A kinetic modeling approach is presented for evaluating the primary molecular characteristics of polymer products, based on the use of statistical moments of the molecular weight distribution. The application of the genetic algorithm to this process enabled the identification of an optimal two-point control regime, facilitating the production of polymers with desired properties. Computational experiments demonstrated that variations in the mode of regulator feed in conditions of multi-point molecular weight control constitute a significant factor in managing complex processes. This approach provides a basis for planning the molecular parameters of polymer products in the context of continuous production systems.

With the continuous progress of power system and power electronics technology, multiple power electronic devices play an increasingly important role in power systems. Due to the variety and large number of source-side power electronic devices with different operating principles and control strategies, direct modeling and analysis have become extremely complex. Therefore, this paper addressed the problem of simplifying the model by aggregating multiple power electronic devices on the source side and proposes an aggregated model construction technique based on the multi-inverter single-machine equivalence method, which aims to improve the modeling efficiency of the power system, reduce the difficulty of analysis, and optimize the system performance. Through theoretical analysis and experimental verification, it has been proven that the method can effectively simplify the model of source-side power electronic devices under certain conditions and improve the modeling accuracy and analysis efficiency to a certain extent.
