The paper considers the approach of using multi-agent models in simulation and decision making of complex systems. Furthermore, an overview of research in the field of multi-agent systems and software platforms for their implementation is carried out. In addition, an analysis of the applicability of intelligent multi-agent systems in the tasks of modelling, optimization and management of energy facilities is performed. This study shows that power industry can use intelligent multi-agent systems not only for the tasks of modelling the interaction of subjects as suppliers and consumers of electricity in the wholesale electricity market and other problems of game theory considering a small number of agents' types. Moreover, intelligent multi-agent systems can be used to model power systems when it is necessary to take into account the deep integration of the systems. This is understood in the work as dependencies at the level of physical processes of generation, transmission, distribution and consumption of electricity, and at the level of interaction between large technological objects and economic entities. At the second level, it is necessary to consider infrastructure linkages and legal regulations for the economic interaction. As an example, the paper considers a hydropower plant. The entity that manages it must take into account not only the features of the station as a complex electrical facility itself, but also the features of the water usage regime, electricity consumption schedules, meteorological factors, etc. In turn, the use of water resources affects the interests of a large number of subjects, which also needs to be reckoned. © 2022 IEEE.

This contribution describes the use of Natural Language Processing (NLP) methods for the lexical analysis of requirements for control, sensors, and information systems in the Agriculture 4.0 domain. The analysis is presented on an orchard 4.0 concept. The proposed orchard includes a sensor network (containing mainly measurements of hydrometeorological and soil variables), camera monitoring of conditions, and yield, support for autonomous robotic care and harvesting based on machine vision, prediction of appropriate times for interventions, etc. Requirements specification for mentioned system is written in natural language. A sentence splitting, Tokenization, Lemmatization, and POS (Part-of-Speech) tagging methods are applied to the mentioned structured requirements of the system and Use Case description. From these and by means of NLP, the candidates of classes, attributes, operations, and associations of the UML (Unified modeling Language) class diagram are filtered and the UML model is synthesized. This paper presents the application of software engineering methods to support the development of complex heterogeneous sensors, information, and control systems.

Multi-agent system investigates the problem of designing a complex system composed of multiple autonomous agents with limited ability and partial observability. As a milestone, AlphaStar has achieved remarkable success in StarCraft II, which is a significant breakthrough in the competitive environments with complex strategic spaces and real-time decisions. However, it poses new challenges for deploying these centralized control models in real-world environments because many of them in such competitive environments were not designed to accommodate the requirements of real-world communication networks, e.g., the problems of high latency and large traffic are inevitable when they are actually deployed. To alleviate this issue, we propose a distributed control paradigm that explicitly splits the control power between the centralized metaagent and agent units through a combination of centralized and decentralized paradigms. The units can autonomously decide to follow the decisions of the meta-agent or adapt to environment variations immediately by themselves in a decentralized manner. We simulate real-world network environments based on the Mininet platform, experiments based on the StarCraft II Learning Environment (SC2LE) show that our approach achieves a better adaptation in real-world network environments.

The utilization of heavy-duty gas turbines in power plant, coupled with a combined cycle system (CCPP), represents a significant alternative to conventional coal-fired boiler turbine units, primarily due to its swift load response capabilities and environmentally benign emissions profile. In China, the gas turbines control system (TCS) have been predominantly supplied and stringently regulated by international vendors. The domestically developed TCS needs extensive validation prior to its commercial deployment. The adequate fidelity model of the CCPP to represents both static and dynamic characteristics plays a critical role in this process. Hybrid modeling provides a promising option to tackle such complex problems. In hybrid modeling, the process-related principles are represented by mechanistic models, while the coefficients added to the first-principal models as adjustments to present unknown process characterizes, are described by data-driven models. This article highlights the significance of hybrid modeling in multiscale CCPP processes. The common design methodology is first introduced. The piece-by-piece devices modeling are then performed following the mass and energy flow. A novel control-oriented hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) simulator for TCS validation is introduced, which helps to reduce costs, mitigate the risk of equipment damage compared to comprehensive and dangerous on-site testing and expedites the commissioning process. Bearingless motorized spindle is a kind of spindle structure that combines a bearingless motor with a motorized spindle. It has the advantages of a motorized spindle and a bearingless motor, which can further improve the speed of the machine tool spindle. However, its complex electromechanical structure and the coupling relationship between the subsystems make it difficult to control its operation process accurately. In this paper, the voltage control decoupling method is used to decouple the torque and suspension system of a bearingless motorized spindle with an independent inverse system, then control the systems. Finally, the control of decoupled bearingless motorized spindle is simulated. The results show that when the speed, rotor radial displacement, and rotor flux change respectively, they will not influence each other. The speed and radial displacement are unaffected after the sudden load is applied. It proves the effectiveness of the decoupling control method. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

The simulation of aircraft guidance and control system has characteristics such as multiple model classification, large parameter influence,complex information interaction and so on. The traditional code-level model development method has many limitations, such as time consuming, low reusability, low modeling efficiency, and model quality can not be guaranteed. Based on the concurrency, graphic representation, mathematics and simulation characteristics of Petri net, this paper studies the aircraft simulation modeling method of formal description based on Petri net, constructs a general modeling development and integration software tool that can carry out component, parametric and graphical modeling, solves the problems of multi granularity model modeling and automatic generation of real-time simulation model code, and realizes the visual graphic modeling and comprehensive integration of different granularity models such as components, modules and meta models. Increasing urbanization and exacerbation of sustainability goals threaten the operational efficiency of current transportation systems and confront cities with complex choices with huge impact on future generations. At the same time, the rise of private, profit-maximizing Mobility Service Providers leveraging public resources, such as ride-hailing companies, entangles current regulation schemes. This calls for tools to study such complex socio-technical problems. In this paper, we provide a game-theoretic framework to study interactions between stakeholders of the mobility ecosystem, modeling regulatory aspects such as taxes and public transport prices, as well as operational matters for Mobility Service Providers such as pricing strategy, fleet sizing, and vehicle design. Our framework is modular and can readily accommodate different types of Mobility Service Providers, actions of municipalities, and low-level models of customers' choices in the mobility system. Through both an analytical and a numerical case study for the city of Berlin, Germany, we showcase the ability of our framework to compute equilibria of the problem, to study fundamental tradeoffs, and to inform stakeholders and policy makers on the effects of interventions. Among others, we show tradeoffs between customers' satisfaction, environmental impact, and public revenue, as well as the impact of strategic decisions on these metrics.

complex systems surround people in many industries. In the process of functioning, complex systems need to overcome various difficulties associated with the influence of external factors, peculiarities of the functioning of processes, etc. complex system is influenced by a complex and rapidly changing set of external conditions, where effective planning and optimization of resources become key success factors, while the possible trajectories of the production of complex technical objects, the employment plan of equipment and personnel, which helps to optimize processes and reduce production costs. The article examines one of the classes of complex systems, and also proposes a method for adaptive control of systems of this class using temporal neuro-fuzzy Petri nets. These networks combine the concepts of Petri nets, a graphical system modeling and analysis tool, with neural networks and fuzzy logic. Considered algorithmic and software for the implementation and support of processes. The proposed method makes it possible to increase the efficiency of a complex system under changing operating conditions. caused by the influence of various factors.
