In this paper, we propose a distributed multi-stage optimization method for planning complex missions for heterogeneous multi-robot systems. This class of problems involves tasks that can be executed in different ways and are associated with cross-schedule dependencies that constrain the schedules of the different robots in the system. The proposed approach involves a multi-objective heuristic search of the mission, represented as a hierarchical tree that defines the mission goal. This procedure outputs several favorable ways to fulfill the mission, which directly feed into the next stage of the method. We utilize a distributed metaheuristic based on evolutionary computation to allocate tasks and generate schedules for the set of chosen decompositions. The solution is evaluated in a simulation setup of an automated greenhouse use case, where we demonstrate the system's ability to adapt the planning strategy depending on the available robots and the given optimization criteria.

The electromechanical actuator, as one of the important actuators to control the attitude and trajectory of multi-electric aircraft, is given higher requirements in terms of control accuracy, response speed and other performance. The control performance of brushless DC motor (BLDCM, a complex nonlinear system) materially determines the control performance of electromechanical actuator. To find out a more effective control method of it, this paper takes a BLDCM based on Hall sensors as the research object and gives "single closed-loop control method based on speed loop", "double closed-loop control method based on speed loop and current hysteresis loop" and "double closed-loop control method based on fuzzy-controlled speed loop and current hysteresis loop" three control methods of it. Using simulink platform to model, simulate and compare the control systems based on these three control methods described above respectively. The results show that the third method which uses the deviation and deviation rate of reference and feedback speed as input, and outputs the reference current value through fuzzy PI control and current hysteresis control, has the most excellent tracking performance (e.g. short adjustment time and no overshoot in the adjustment process) when the speed command or load changes suddenly. The results of this paper provide some theoretical basis and reference value for the research, design and practical use of control method for BLDCM and electromechanical actuator. © 2023, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.

In order to achieve high-precision vibration control of beam and plate structures, the actuators need to be selected and installed according to the controlled structures. MFC (Macro Fiber Composite) is a thin slice piezoelectric composite material with large displacement output and fast response, which can be sticked or embedded in structures easily, so the research on vibration control of beam and plate structures using MFC actuators is still very active. This article introduces the theoretical basis of MFC firstly, and where includes the classification of MFC, internal structure, constitutive equations and common modeling methods. Then, introducing the applications in vibration control of beam and plate structures using MFC actuators and the controlling strategy used to solve the nonlinear problems in these applications. Finally, extends the applications of MFC actuators in complex structures, and the problems of nonlinear hysteresis behavior are summarized which existing in vibration control using MFC. For higher precision control of MFC, this feature can be researched in depth. © 2022 Association for Computing Machinery.

AMESimis a multidisciplinary modeling and simulation platform for complex systems. It can establish complex multidisciplinary system models, and can also study the steady-state and dynamic performance of any component or system on this platform. in this paper the functions and characteristics of AMESim software are introduced. Then the process of building the model of hydraulic position servo system is introduced in detail, and the validity of the mode is proved through the results of simulation. Finally, the influence of the parameters on the dynamic error of the system is analyzed by comparing the simulation results, which provide theoretical support for the selection of components of hydraulic position servo system. © 2022 IEEE.

Model-based safety assessment brings dependability modeling closer to the system design and allow for automated analysis of high-level models. RiskSpectrum ModelBuilder uses an object-oriented modeling language with elements of declarative programming called Figaro for describing the dependability logic of component types. We demonstrate how the Figaro language, and the concept of knowledge bases empowers dependability experts to create generic component descriptions that can be used in model-based safety assessment of various system types. In particular, we focus on the possibilities to encode complex control logic. One can create a single component type that can be utilized in systems with different topologies or in systems that contain different components. © 2022 Probabilistic Safety Assessment and Management, PSAM 2022. The concept of innovation is discussed from the point of view of political economy and the theory of technological structures. The process of creating innovations is considered. The task of existence and search for the optimal process of implementation of the complex of works is formalized. It is assumed that two types of resources are distributed - renewable (Performers, machines, devices) and non-renewable (finance, electricity, combustible materials, RAM assigned to certain software modules). The linear dependence of the duration of tasks on the amount of non-renewable resource allocated to them is known. For the case when interruptions and switching from one Performer to another are allowed when performing tasks, an algorithm of linear complexity has been developed. Analytical expressions are obtained for the minimum volume of a non-renewable resource with a fixed directive period, as well as for the minimum directive period with a fixed volume of a non-renewable resource, for which there is an acceptable schedule. For the case when tasks do not allow interrupts and switches, and the number of processors is fixed, an algorithm of pseudo-polynomial complexity has been developed. These indicators can serve as criteria for the effectiveness of innovation. © 2022 IEEE.

The performance of many cloud-based applications critically depends on the capacity of the underlying datacenter network. A particularly innovative approach to improve the throughput in datacenters is enabled by emerging optical technologies, which allow to dynamically adjust the physical network topology, both in an oblivious or demand-Aware manner. However, such topology engineering, i.e., the operation and control of dynamic datacenter networks, is considered complex and currently comes with restrictions and overheads. We present Duo, a novel demand-Aware reconfigurable rack-To-rack datacenter network design realized with a simple and efficient control plane. Duo is based on the well-known de Bruijn topology (implemented using a small number of optical circuit switches) and the key observation that this topology can be enhanced using dynamic ("opportunistic") links between its nodes. In contrast to previous systems, Duo has several desired features: i) It makes effective use of the network capacity by supporting integrated and multi-hop routing (paths that combine both static and dynamic links). ii) It uses a work-conserving queue scheduling which enables out-of-The-box TCP support. iii) Duo employs greedy routing that is implemented using standard IP longest prefix match with small forwarding tables. And iv) during topological reconfigurations, routing tables require only local updates, making this approach ideal for dynamic networks. We evaluate Duo in end-To-end packet-level simulations, comparing it to the state-of-The-Art static and dynamic networks designs. We show that Duo provides higher throughput, shorter paths, lower flow completion times for high priority flows, and minimal packet reordering, all using existing network and transport layer protocols. We also report on a proof-of-concept implementation of \system's control and data plane. © 2023 Owner/Author.
