Fundamental agriculture operations can benefit from the adoption of advanced robotic platforms for enabling precise, repeatable and autonomous operations. Among others, precise plant treatment and monitoring tasks are critically important for estimating plant yields or trying to prevent and detect diseases. However, the uneven and irregular terrain of vineyards cause jumps during robot motion that pose challenges to precision caring activities. For this reason, our mobile robot manipulator uses a camera mounted on its end-effector to track a landmark and to control the end-effector pose with respect to it. We show the effectiveness of our approach through lab experiments, where we created an in-lab example of a vineyard row with synthetic grapes, leaves, and ramps to simulate the rough terrain.

Car navigation systems typically calculate recommended routes on the basis of geographical factors and status of congestion. Such systems do not account for the user's driving skill or the difficulty of certain maneuvers (e.g., turning) or driving on different types of roads (e.g., narrow roads). This may result in problems for drivers, particularly beginners, when driving on a route recommended by the system. To develop a navigation system that takes these factors into account, we apply a performance model of GUI operation to driving operations and investigate a method of modeling driving difficulty, such as road conditions. In this study, we implemented an HMD-based driving experiment system to model drivers' behaviors. We also conducted an experiment to clarify the usefulness of our system and showed that our system could judge the driver's proficiency using the steering wheel operation in the driving trajectory of curves.

In this paper, based on computer virtual reality technology, a real-time database system of multiple storage media is established. A real-time database in the configuration system is constructed by using DLL technology, and the data modeling and interface design of the database are carried out. The real-time data partitioning algorithm realizes the automatic and instant generation of data partitioning, and improves the system scalability and throughput by using the horizontal expansion mechanism of streaming computing framework.
