Emphasizing the important role of process water conservation to improve the level of water use in papermaking industry, then the detailed analysis is made to the process water of papermaking industry from the processes and the water consumption points. According to the features of each process and water consumption point separately, water-saving measures are proposed correspondingly aimed at maximizing the process water conservation and promoting the level of water saving in papermaking industry.

This paper proposed an agricultural application of wirless sensor network. The main work is to implement two types of nodes and building sensor network. The hardware platform is constituted by data process unit, radio module, sensor control matrix, data storage flash, power supply unit, analog interfaces and extended digital interfaces. The software system adopts TinyOS which is composed of system kernel, device drivers and applications. Energy-saving algorithm is implemented in the software system. The monitoring network adopts two networking protocols. The Collection Tree Protocol is a tree-based collection protocol which consists in collecting the data generated in the network into a base station. The dissemination is the complementary operation to collection. The goal of a dissemination protocol is to reliably deliver a piece of control and synchronization instructions to every node in the network. The experimental results show us that the monitoring system is feasible for applications in precision agriculture. (C) 2011 Published by Elsevier Ltd. This paper proposed a fuzzy power control system for distributed generation system. Fuzzy system was first developed to implement power distribution among multiple distributed generation units on the basis of optimal solution of quadratic programming algorithm. And then the parameters of the fuzzy system were optimized via a genetic algorithm. The simulation results show that the proposed method could be useful for a range of control system design.

More and more office buildings are built and consequently, the building energy-consumption increases especially air conditioning energy consumption. The energy consumption of air conditioning is monitored in an office building in Qingdao, and the test results show that refrigerator installed capacity is too large and COP is low, cooling circle pumps and chilled water pumps are oversize and water transport factor is lower than the standard value, the efficiency of the cooling tower is also very low. Based on experimental result, corresponding energy saving measures are proposed.

The working characteristics of Static vargenerator(SVG) used in low-voltage distribution system is analyzed. The dynamic mathematic model based on direct current control is build by state space equations. The relation of the compensation performance and parameter is analyzed by the model as SVG used in low-voltage distribution system. The control method of voltage fluctuation compensation by using SVG as voltage source is proposed. Simulation and experiment results verify the correctness and validity of the mathematic model and control method.

Numerical simulation models of high pressure common rail fuel system were established, the influences of nozzle hole diameter and nozzle hole number on injection rate were studied by means of these models. The research results show that software simulation technology is an effective method for simulation calculation and optimization design for high pressure common rail fuel system(HPCRFS) and comparison between simulation data and experiment data approved the accuracy of simulation models, and the injection rate curve still increases before the end of injection when the nozzle hole diameter is bigger, this kind of injection rate accords with ideal injection law.
