The ability to remove arsenic (III) by *** and *** in hydroponic condition was investigated in this study. The results showed that *** is more tolerant under the As press with high *** maximum As concertration that two speices can endure is 10 mg/L. The maximum qe(As bioaccumulation per mass of adsorbent) of *** and *** is separately 9266.67 mg/kg and 1857.14 mg/kg dry weight (DW) at initial 100 mg/L of arsenic. Mostly bioaccumulated arsenic were stored in their fronds. It displayed a good positive linear correlations between Qe (As uptake per mass of adsorbent at equilibrium) and the corresponding Ce for *** arselnc uptake, with a maximun Qe of 5085.35mg/kg (DW) at the Ce of 98.23 mg/L,whereas there existed a logarithmic relationship in Cdemersum experiment, with a maximun Qe of 425.48 mg/kg (DW) at the Ce of 98.36 mg/L. The results suggested that the As-tolerant ecotype of P. Vittata extracted effectively As from the water contaminated with As, and might be used to remediate this type of site.

To reduce CO 2 regeneration heat consumption in CO 2 capture process, a novel concept named "mass concentration of CO 2 -rich solution swing regeneration (MSCR)" was put forward in this study. Experiments were executed to investigate the feasibility and energy reduction potential of MSCR by using MEA as absorbent. Results show that CO 2 regeneration performance can be improved greatly when MSCR was adopted. In addition, relatively high but appropriate mass concentration should be recommended to be selected for the initial CO 2 rich solution. And experimental results also prove that MCSR technology may be more viable for the bicarbonate-producing systems between the reaction of CO 2 and absorbent or for carbamate-producing systems with high CO 2 loading. Finally, evaluation of total regeneration heat consumption shows that the total CO 2 regeneration heat consumption can be reduced by at least about 25% for MSCR.

Detailed 19-steps reaction mechanisms are adopted to simulate the combustion characteristics of premised hydrogen-oxygen in a 3-dimensional rectangular micro channel, and inlet velocity, channel height and wall material are changed to further study the effects of these key factors on the micro-combustion. The results indicate that the premised hydrogen-oxygen can realize stable combustion In sub millimeter rectangular channel in a wide velocity range, the reaction is rapid near the inlet and the structure of the flame core is cone-shaped. The three influential parameters all have effects on the temperature and length of flame, which causes the difference of steam mass fraction in the combustor. Adopting materials of smaller heat conductivity coefficient will result in larger nonuniformity of the temperature distribution on the outwall of the combustor and will affect its working intensity. The quenching distance of premised hydrogen oxygen combustion in the rectangular channel is less than 0.2mm. The mixture can react adequately in this type of channel with the height of 0.2~0.8mm when the flux and the length are appropriate.

This paper made experimental study on the heat storage / release characteristics of a new-type thermoelectric heat pump phase-change thermal storage device which can achieve active heat storage/release, by altering the operating parameter such as heat medium flow, heat medium temperature difference, input current. The results show that: when the working voltage and the exhaust heat source temperature are high, the time that the device need to store heat is short. The heating coefficient of the device can be influenced by over high working voltage. Compared to passive heat storage / release phase-change thermal storage devices, the device improved the mismatch of thermal energy supply and demand sides on time, place and intensity in the process of low-temperature waste heat recovery. It overcame disadvantages that passive thermal energy conversion device existed. The device can timely adjust heat storage rate according to the time and intensity of heat emission, actively recycle and use low temperature waste heat.

A new kind of self-aeration subsurface constructed wetland system was designed. The self-aeration mechanism of self-aeration subsurface constructed wetland system was discussed in detail. The experimental results indicated that the self-aeration and denitrification effect of the system was perfect. The dissolved oxygen of the synthetic wastewater was around 1 mg/L, and it increased to 3 mg/L after the self aeration system, which explained the perfect self-aeration ability of this system. Furthermore, the concentration of dissolved oxygen in and out of the self-aeration subsurface constructed wetland was 0.5-1.0 mg/L and around 2.0 mg/L, respectively. Meanwhile, the denitrification efficiency was enhanced greatly with the maximum denitrification efficiency of 82.2%.

In this paper, the decolorization of simulated rhodamine B dye wastewater was investigated using a three dimensional electrode reactor with granular activated carbon(GAC) loaded with manganese oxide (MnO x /GAC) as the particle electrode. The decolorization ratio by two-dimensional electrode, traditional three-dimensional electrode and MnO x /GAC three-dimensional electrode method was compared respectively, and simultaneously, the effect of treatment time, voltage and pH on the color removal efficiency was studied. The experimental results showed that the decolorization ratio of MnO x /GAC three-dimensional electrode is much higher than that of two-dimensional electrode or traditional three-dimensional electrode. While the concentration of the simulated rhodamine B dye wastewater was 50 mg/L, the decolorization ratio by MnO x /GAC three dimensional electrode can reach 98.9% under the condition of the voltage 11V, the initial pH 5 and the treatment time 120min.

Use optimized indigenous microbial flora biotechnology to conduct repair experimental research on oil contaminated groundwater in loess area of north Shaanxi. The selected optimized flora include Pseudomonas, Micrococcus, Actinomayces, Penicillium, Aspergillus. During experiment process, add 1.5%'s optimized flora preparation into the polluted waters with oil content of 182.0mg/862.5mg/1 and 1695.0 mg/1. After some days remediation experiments, the maximum cumulative removal rates of oil pollutants in the three concentrations are 53.46% (28d), 70.87% (37d) and 58.19% (37d); temperature is one of the remediation affecting factors and 30°C is the best flora growth temperature, with the most significant remediation effect on oil-contaminated groundwater, concentration is another important factor influencing oil pollutants, in sterile contrast experiment, the removal rate of oil pollutants is within 5%, indicating slow groundwater oil degradation speed in natural conditions.

It had been U.S. environmental Protection Agency(EPA) suggested the 16 polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons(PAHs) must take priority of control due to potential harm to people's health. The extensive amount of data show the part of PAHs source from the utilization of the coal. During the coal conversion process, PAHs released may be divided into two categories according to their formation pathways. One category is derived from complex chemical reactions and the other is free PAHs transferred from the original coals. The main idea of this study is to quantitatively analyze the total PAHs amount in the raw coal and get the relationship between PAHs and the coal properties. The results indicated that the amount of the PAHs of coal achieve to the maximum in the carbon content at 80.41%, the volatile yields at 37.19%, the O/C ratio as 0.1 and the H/C ratio as 0.8. The results also show that the rapid Soxh let extraction technique used in PAH extraction is more efficiency and environmentally friendly than the conventional Soxh let extraction technique.

Experiments were conducted to examine the effects of nylon 66 chemical wastewater treatment by active carbon film filler contact oxidation process. The results showed that the formation of biofilm was relatively rapid on the surface of active carbon film filler, and the treatment efficiency was stable. The removal rate could reach 88.9% and 46.00% for COD and NH 3 -N respectively when the HRT was 22 hours, and the influent concentration of COD was 1036.6mg/L, NH 3 -N 88.7mg/L. As the influent concentration of COD and NH 3 -N increased to 1915.4mg/L and 123.6mg/L respectively, the removal rate of COD could be up to 89.7% while NH 3 -N reduced to 21.4%. Meanwhile moderate swing of filler was beneficial for high treatment efficiency and preventing sludge accumulation.

A comparative study on phosphate removal between activated steel slag and blast furnace slag was investigated. The efficiency of different slags before and after activated for phosphate removal were also evaluated. The results show that the slags activated by hydrothermal treatment are more efficient than raw slags in phosphate removal. The activated slags could be reused for several times and the phosphate removal efficiency could be guaranteed by increasing there action time towards to different reused times. Compared with activated pulverized slags, the activated granular slags could be reused for a longer time for a given initial phosphate concentration. The results suggest that the activated granular slags may be effective materials for phosphate removal. The phosphate removal by activated slag was mainly through chemical precipitation.
