This system can realize real-time data acquisition, state monitoring and display of power grid, remote control and adjustment, accident alarm, above limited/displacements alarm, data statistics, work information login, running state monitoring of automation system, accident recall and other functions. Today computing systems employ high interaction between people and services. It is more than obvious that todays society depends every day more on such computing systems. Furthermore we cannot deny that consequences of their failures can have high cost, from financial resources loss to even human lives loss. Modern large scale distributed systems services must provide guarantees for protecting services against malicious threats. So security is becoming more important, as services can become victims of malicious attacks that can result in code injection that can affect critical components on a large scale. Because of such catastrophic consequences it has become mandatory for developers to provide security guarantees for users, usually in the form of protection mechanisms that can protect the system against the malicious behavior of services. In this paper we propose one such solution to provide security mechanisms and guarantees against security threats in large scale distributed environment. Such mechanisms consider the needs of modern distributed service-oriented applications. We propose security policies designed to handle security guarantees imposed by such applications. In the end, we present experimental results that reflect the capacity of the proposed security mechanisms and policies to correctly handle a wide range of security threats.

In a heterogeneous network environment, constructing applications of remote distributedintelligent transportation system (ITS) are faced with complex communication problems proposed by online management, data acquisition and the coordination control of traffic node devices. Therefore, a framework based on SIP/ZigBee architecture is proposed. By using SIP and its extensions, a seamless convergence of traffic measurement and control network between the Internet and a short-range wireless sensor and actuator networks (WSAN) can be achieved. The application result shows that various remote communications and control operations of ITS distributed nodes can be unified and simplified.

The design scheme of the ship integrated monitoring and operating system based on two layers distributed and redundant computer network was presented in this paper. The distributed schemes are fully applied to both software and hardware. The growth of the electricity distribution networks and increasing application of distributed generators, has led to complexity of monitoring of automation process and possibility of making wrong decisions in operation of these networks. Hence, a system that can be housed in energy control centers to assist distribution network operators in diagnosing cases of failure diagnosis sounds necessary. Regarding this, our study employs Petri net modeling to provide a model of automation system on a distribution network that can be implemented in the monitoring system of distribution networks control centers, and using the information received at these centers, to monitor various stages of automation process, detect faulted sections, and also, to inform the operator about the incorrect states in a real time manner. Therefore, the proposed model reduces incorrect outages and increases reliability of distribution networks by informing the operator and assisting him to decide correctly.

In this paper, instead of using commercial platform ZigBee we build a green-energy intelligent indoor surveillance system by utilizing our developed wireless platform which complies with the IEEE 802.15.4 standard. Three kinds of sensors are considered to be deployed for the monitoring of the environmental conditions such as temperature, vibration and object movement. Those sensing data will then be locally analyzed to control appliance and wirelessly transmitted to a central computer for remote monitoring. Experimental results demonstrate the success of the proposed design.

Inspired by self-organization in natural organisms, an approach that would enable robotic agents form a visual representation of an invisible distributed hazardous substance is presented. Such a resource would enable humans observe and stay away from areas of high hazardous substance concentration. In this work, a proportional-integral control law and a machine learning scheme is used to obtain optimal parameter values that would enable optimal visual mapping whilst keeping computational resources low.
