Along with the development of science and technology, information technologies have been used in many fields. Energy problem is a social focus nowadays. Energy-saving and environmental protection is the policy of China. According to our national conditions, road lighting system of our country is still emerging technologies. In this paper, to reach the purpose of energy saving, it introduces an information method to deal with the problem of road lighting. The road lighting intelligentcontrol system is based on wireless network control that can implement real-time monitoring for road lighting, intelligent work without manual intervention. It also can save the energy and work efficiently. This paper discusses the design method of road lighting intelligentcontrol system, which was built up by wireless personal network technology, GPRS, microprocessor and host computers, and researched on the system including the structure, key technologies, software design and encryption. This paper presents methodologies of web-based decision making for collaborative manufacturing, including web-based knowledge sharing, distributed process planning, dynamic scheduling, real-time monitoring and remote control, targeting distributed yet collaborative manufacturing environments. The web-based decision making is enabled by a framework that allows users to plan and control manufacturing operations based on information either gathered via the Web or collected from manufacturing devices. The objective of this research is to develop an integrated system for web-based collaborative planning and control, supported by real-time monitoring for dynamic scheduling. Details on the principle of the framework, system architecture, and a proof-of-concept prototype are reported in this paper. An example of remote machining is chosen as a case study to demonstrate the effectiveness of this framework toward web-based collaborative manufacturing.

In order to keep dynamic monitoring on the resources and environment on major environmental problems in Jiaozuo city and based on MAPGIS, an urban environment information system (UEIS) was established and applied in this paper. The UEIS is a type of spatial environment information system, based on regional urban ecosystem, it input such relative data as population, economy, resources and environment into computer by its spatial location or geographic coordinates, then save, refresh, inquiry and search, model analysis, display, printing and drawing output subsequently. This provided an effective method to the regional urban environmental management. In the UEIS, the design and development of model base and its management system hold the main part for the integration of the whole system and the decision analysis depend on the relative environmental models. These models displayed important role in the analysis, analogue, assessment, prediction and optimization of raw information. The design and development of model base mainly include environment assessment, prediction, planning management models and corresponding model base management system. This UEIS included following subsystems-the resources and environment basic information management system, the resources and environment dynamic monitoring information management system, the ambient air pollution control system and the water environmental pollution control system. In order to input and output mass storage of data related to society, economy, resources and environment hold in this system conveniently and rapidly, and doing decision and simulate work supported by multi-source of information, this UEIS makes full use of the tool software MAPGIS and the existing poly environmental software, thus it perfects the function of environment management and control, import and output, spatial analysis and decision support. Ubiquitous computing architectures enable interaction and collaboration in multi-user applications. We explore the challenges of integrating the disparate services required in such architectures and describe how we have met these challenges in the context of a real-world application that operates on heterogeneous hardware and run-time environments. As a compelling example, we consider the role of ubiquitous computing to support the needs of a distributed multi-user game, including mobility, mutual awareness, and geo-localization. The game presented here, "SoundPark", is played in a mixed-reality environment, in which the physical space is augmented with computer-generated audio and graphical content, and the players communicate frequently over a low-latency audio channel. Our experience designing and developing the game motivates significant discussion related to issues of general relevance to ubiquitous game architect tires, including integration of heterogeneous components, monitoring, remote control and scalability.

In a Multi-Agent system, middleware is one of the components used to isolate control and communications. The use of standards in the implementation of an intelligentdistributed system is always advantageous. This paper presents a middleware that provides support to a multi-agent system. Middleware is based on the standard Data Distribution Services (DDS), proposed by Object Management Group (OGM). Middleware organizes information by tree based ontology and provides a set of quality of service policies that agents can use to increase efficiency. DDS provides a set of quality of service policy. Joining quality of service policy and the ontology allows getting many advantages, among others the possibility of to conceal some details of the communications system to agents, the correct location of the agents in the distributed system, or the monitoring agents in terms of quality of service. For modeling the middleware architecture it has used UML class diagrams. As an example it has presented the implementation of a mobile robot navigation system through agents that model behaviors.

In this context, semantics may be essential to manage future power systems with significant share of power generated by distributed energy resources in an intelligent way - as required in the framework of smart grid designs. The EU funded project STEN (intelligent Self-describing Technical and environmental Networks) lays foundations for advanced monitoring systems and sensors by applying Semantic Web technologies, Web Services and rule-bases to potentially constantly changing networks composed of network components ranging from simple sensors to complex plants such as combined heat and power plants. This paper goes beyond the paper presented in the CIRED 2007 conference [1] and will present the results of the now finished S-TEN project (***) featuring the work being done to develop and use technologies designed to provide functionalities required by future power grids.
