Wireless Sensor Network (WSN) has been widely recognized as one of the most important technology for low power wireless communication and also used in variety of applications like medical, military, industrial, agricultural and environmental monitoring. Here, our approach resolve the issues like collision in healthcare application. In healthcare applications of WSN, normally, the generated information's like emergency, cardiac attack, accident etc. which are coming from Patient Body Sensor (PBS) and processed by the sink as soon as possible. It is very much essential to avoid congestion and provide immediate solution without delay. As sensor nodes are battery operated so in all routing protocols designed for WSN, energy should be one targeted parameter. Hence, our proposal is designed not only collect the information centrally but also manage using active queue management (AQM) technique. This technique focuses on queue assisted congestion control type and avoids congestion in the routing phase using multipath and also manages the queue in each node when packet reaches by packet loss probability. © 2022 IEEE.

Traditional healthcare systems are based on patients approaching physically to get themselves registered and avail of medical assistance. Also, the voluminous data entry into the centralized databases makes the process slow and insecure. Further, the system is unscalable and limited in nature. There are many instances where rural and remote area citizens were denied access to healthcare facilities due to a lack of technological reach. The advent of IoMT has proved to be a boon to the healthcare industry because they have facilitated Remote Patient monitoring (RPM) to store health information remotely in the form of Digital records or EHRs(Electronic Health Records). These devices are worn or implanted in the patients to get the data regularly and keep their health under scrutiny. However, these devices and the information they store are not secure. They are prone to malignant attacks, unauthorized tampering of health information, loss of vital and private information of the users, etc. Blockchain technology is an excellent solution to problems related to privacy and security, access and modification, control of information, forged information, and scalability. The blockchain offers decentralization of information distributed over a peer-to-peer network and stores data immutably. To a large extent, the problems currently faced in the healthcare industry are significantly mitigated. This paper proposes a smart healthcare system that uses IoMT devices coupled with blockchain in its back end. In addition, we have deployed a decentralized application to connect with patients remotely. We have proposed a method to run and deploy smart contracts using Ethereum and interaction between smart contracts and dApp. The results of the implementations are better than the existing systems regarding the security and privacy of patient data, eliminating intermediary costs while maintaining the quality of service through transparency and interoperability provided by Blockchain. © 2023

It is needless to mention that the proven capability of cloud computing and digital twin-based monitoring and control systems will play a major role in the implementation of digital twin-based lithium-ion battery management systems (BMS) for e-transportation. In this context, the combination of the Internet of Things (IoT) and fog computing emerges as an enabling technology that facilitates bidirectional data communication and processing. This paper proposes a five-layer IoT framework for the implementation of cloud-based battery monitoring and BMS. Additionally, it critically analyzes the existing IoT frameworks applied to BMS and justifies the suitability of the five-layer architecture. Furthermore, the advantages of fog computing, such as low latency, fault tolerance, limitless systems, multiple applications, and shared responsibility, are discussed. The paper also explores four previously proposed computing-enabled architectures: centralized, hybrid, distributed, and hybrid-distributed computing. Moreover, the potential of utilizing hybrid computing architectures, incorporating fog computing as a supplement to cloud computing, is highlighted to address fault, privacy, or latency issues in cloud-based BMS.

Trachycarpus fortunei (T.f) is an evergreen tree of the genus Palm in the family Palmae, with high medicinal, landscape, and economic value. However, the species is sensitive to climate change, and climate change-induced weather extremes, droughts and high temperatures may threaten palms in tropical and subtropical regions. Palm oil, the raw material, is produced as biomass diesel to replace oil in many countries. This has also led to the unwarranted expansion of T.f cultivation and encroachment on more carbon-intensive forests, to the detriment of global climate governance. Predicting the distribution range of T.f in the context of climate change can provide a scientific basis and reference for the resource management and sustainable use of this species. In this paper, we analyzed the potential distribution of T.f in the world by using ArcGIS 10.8 and MaxEnt 3.4.1 software, and compared it with the Bioclim and Domain models of DIVA-GIS 7.5 software, and finally chose the model with the best prediction results. The MaxEnt model was selected as the model with the best prediction results. Then the distribution range of T.f was predicted under four climate scenarios (RCP 2.6, RCP 4.5, RCP 6.0, RCP 8.5) in the 2050s and 2070s of the 21st century. The results showed that the MaxEnt model predicted the distribution of potential habitats with the highest accuracy;Bio6, Bio11, Bio12, and Bio17 were the main climatic variables affecting the distribution of T.f;T.f is currently distributed in the gradual landward area of southeastern China's coasts, Japan's coasts, and the landward area along the coasts of the United Kingdom, France, and Germany.;Future climate change will negatively influence the distribution of its habitat, causing the habitat to shrink outward and fracture inward. distributed photovoltaic (PV) utilizes renewable energy sources for power generation, offering advantages such as carbon emission reduction and environmental friendliness. When distributed PV power exceeds the regional load consumption limits, it may lead to the issue that the reverse power flow exceeds the rated capacity of transformers and distribution feeders. This could result in abnormal operation of power equipment and power quality issues. Since these situations have frequently occurred in some regions, this paper proposes two developed devices and a specific implementation method to monitor, calculate and control distributed PV systems in real-time. These devices and systems have been widely applied. The conclusion of practice is that if the friendly interaction between distributed PV and the power grid can be achieved, the large-scale power outages under the extreme situations can be prevented.

intelligent transportation systems (ITS) use the latest technologies for real-time traffic control and monitoring to ensure efficient traffic management and reduce the risks of traffic accidents. The microscopic level of traffic modeling is the most appropriate level for controlling and monitoring the interaction between vehicles based on car-following scenarios. However, the data retrieved from sensor networks can be affected by measurement errors, and consequently the implementation of appropriate mechanisms to overcome their propagation to the control system is mandatory. This paper aims to analyse the current research in the calibration of car-following models and provide valuable insights of recent developments in this field. To achieve this goal, VOSviewer has been chosen as a visualisation tool to create bibliographic maps based on the output from the well-known scientific database Clarivate Analytics Web of Science (WoS). The maps obtained provide a visual representation of the main institutions involved in this field of research and identify the research interests based on author and indexing keywords. Furthermore, this paper analyses the top five clusters identified based on the analysis of co-occurrence keywords, presenting discussions about the connections existing within these clusters.

The project aims to create a project based on The Internet of things(IoT)which used by human to interact with everyday appliances, which offers enhanced control and efficiency. A new method is proposed an IoT -based smart water heater control system for optimizing energy usage and to help the user in their convenience. The System consist of a microcontroller, sensors, actuators and a user interface accessed by mobile application or website. Temperature and humidity sensors used to monitor environmental conditions and changes are made according to them. These data are transmitted to the microcontroller which is a mini computer, used to integrate the embedded systems and optimize the heating schedules accordingly. Through the mobile application or web portal, users can control the water heater without manual mode, and by adjusting the mobile temperature, scheduling the heating cycles, and can receive real-time status updates. The benefits of this project includes energy conservation, cost savings, and improving the user experience. By using various IoT technologies, the project demonstrates the capability of controlling the systems to enhance the efficiency and provide the user better usability of household appliances like water heaters.

Hyperspectral imaging has emerged as a powerful technique for target detection and material identification across various fields, from remote sensing to environmental monitoring. This paper proposes a spectral signature matching method for detecting a known target (i.e., sea water) in hyperspectral images. By analyzing pixel-by-pixel spectral characteristics, spectral matching algorithm computes the similarity between the spectral signature of each pixel and that of known target *** proposed method employs the Jasper Ridge hyperspectral data from an urban landscape to demonstrate the algorithm’s effectiveness, with results revealing high accuracy in target detection even in heterogeneous environments where various land cover types (like water, vegetation, urban structures, soil, and rocks) are intermixed within the same area. This highlights the algorithm’s robustness in discerning similar spectral features. The experimental results demonstrate that the Jeffries-Matusita Spectral Angle Mapper (JMSAM) outperformed the Spectral Angle Mapper (SAM) and the Normalized Spectral Similarity Score (NS3) algorithms, by achieving the lowest MSE of 0.056933.

In the fast changing environment of smart cities, combining fog and edge computing with powerful IoT devices like Hikvision cameras is revolutionising urban administration and public safety. Hikvision, a video surveillance systems pioneer, offers a variety of IP and analogue cameras, thermal imaging, and intelligent software platforms used for traffic management, public safety, environmental monitoring, and infrastructure security. These technologies, which combine high-definition video quality, advanced image processing, and cognitive analytics, enable real-time monitoring, event detection, and quick responses. Traffic cameras collect real-time data for vehicle counts and congestion management, while environmental sensors monitor air, water, and noise levels to aid in health warnings and pollution control. Smart meters and wearable health gadgets monitor energy, water, and health indicators to optimise resource management. Parking sensors and waste management sensors boost parking and rubbish collection efficiency. The integration of fog and edge computing processes data locally, lowering latency and bandwidth utilisation, while fog nodes aggregate data for thorough analysis. Cloud storage enables long-term data analytics, which improves decision-making for city planners and emergency responders. Hikvision's software, which includes HikCentral and iVMS-4200, combines video surveillance, access control, and intelligent traffic management to create a comprehensive urban security framework. These systems are crucial to public safety because they provide real-time monitoring, facial recognition, and motion detection. For city planners, such innovations provide essential insights for urban growth and sustainability programs. The integration of Hikvision video surveillance with fog and edge computing is a game-changing approach to smart city management, improving urban safety and efficiency while improving inhabitants' quality of life.

In the WatchPlant project, we aim to develop a bio-hybrid wireless sensor network (WSN) that uses natural plants as sensors for a variety of environmental conditions. One of the major challenges in such a system is managing connectivity while balancing higher data throughput with energy conservation. In this work, connectivity is controlled through the so-called Fiedler value, the second smallest eigenvalue of the Laplacian of the communication graph. We propose a distributed connectivity control method that relies on consensus-based topology estimation, and in which links in the graph are added or removed according to the values of the Fiedler eigenvector obtained from the estimated adjacency matrix. The proposed strategy for estimating and maintaining connectivity was validated in a simulation and in a physical proof-of-concept WSN consisting of several single-board mini-computers. © 2022 Owner/Author.
