The article discusses a suggestion for an alternative method of diagnosing communication in the CAN standard (controller Area Network). Currently, a CAN communication bus is available not only in vehicles for which the standard was designed, but also in industrial plants. A CAN communication bus connects elements of, e.g. distributed control systems, vehicle onboard systems, remote intelligent I/Os of industrial controllers. The devices connected via the bus communicate in a broadcast mode. IDs (numbers) are assigned to messages and not devices. This enables simultaneous sending of a message to all awaiting recipients. A prerequisite for the correct functioning of the aforementioned systems is their proper operation, and primarily, maintaining the communication system in a state of fitness. Information regarding the sent variables are necessary to test the functioning of a data transmission system. It is the communication diagnostics that provides information necessary to formulate a diagnosis regarding the communication system condition. Based on the collected data sent in the messages, it is also possible to develop relevant remedial actions. In the case of CAN standard transmission, the diagnostic information can be acquired through intercepting and analysing the messages sent to the communication bus by communicating devices. The article suggests replacing often costly CAN bus analyser hardware solutions with a simpler one – an operator-diagnostic station – a computer equipped with an industrial CAN expansion card. By applying the right middleware, and the use of a standard visualization package, it is possible to monitor the data sent in CAN messages. This elaboration presents a concept of diagnosing communication using a standard SCADA visualization package, which is run on a diagnostic-operator station using middleware – a control window embedded directly in the synoptic image and a software gateway. Demand for satellite communication (SATCOM) infrastructure has led to the development of a geosynchronous spacecraft to enable communications between ground and mobile terminals for video data. When fully loaded, the ground support equipment (GSE) provides handling for payload data of 1.2 Gbps distributed across more than 100 continuous carrier terminals or 1000 time division multiple access (TDMA) terminals. This paper assesses the implementation of GSE to verify the hardware design of this multi-radio, multi-terminal avionics unit. The GSE contains a unique design based around a communications slice, each of which provides one of four L-band interfaces to the unit under test (UUT) for both transmit and receive data. The GSE uses a channel emulator to impose impairments on the radio frequency (RF) signals to include noise, propagation delay, and dynamic frequency offset. For adjacent channel loading, the GSE contains an arbitrary waveform generator (A WG) that can implement simulated terminals in a composite waveform. This function complements the slices that contain servers connected to software defined radios (SDRs). The GSE employs an Ethernet backbone for subsystem control and to move the payload data to and from the SDRs and to the A WG. Test software in the test controller implements ETSI Digital Video Broadcast (DVB) standards for the baseband and high layer data. The test software is based around a Ground Support Equipment Operating System (GSEOS) environment, which provides test logging and automation for a traceable, repeatable environmental test campaign. The test software maintains compatibility with an embedded test software (ETS) on the UUT, which provides customized interfaces for moving higher rate data to and from the UUT.

The technological advancement in all fields like communication, medicine, industry, etc. demands high data transmission. Data transmission is carried via different wireless sensor networks (WSN). Wireless sensor networks are low-cost, low-energy, and small multifunctional sensors that are used for dense object tracking, environmental monitoring, and industrial control. In recent times, several researchers have been drawn to sensor networks due to their feasibility and efficiency to protect data during transmission. The wireless sensor network transmits the data which is collected by a device and sent to the base station and the user. The nodes are grouped as clusters and the data are aggregated and transmitted from the cluster to the base station. Such larger collections of homogeneous or heterogeneous sensors are networked, which needs an unattended operation in various applications. This forms a wireless sensor network with several sensor nodes with the capability y of communicating with other nodes or with other base stations. The original data should be sent without loss to attackers and the base station. The large collection of sensor nodes is capable of sensing larger regions with much higher accuracy. As the size of the sensor network increases, the area of coverage increases. To improve the capacity of sensor node batteries and to reduce the consumption of energy innetwork, the idea of Compressive Sensing (CS) is used in wireless sensor networks. The Compressive Sensing theory is combined with wireless sensor networks to reduce the total data transmitted. It reduces well the consumption of energy in wireless sensor networks, possibly increases the lifetime of the network. The proposed research work provides an optimized clustering technique using compressive sensing like Tree Cluster Data Gathering Compressive Sensing Algorithm (TCDGCSA) for the security of the data protection transmitted from the nodes in the cluster to the base station.

The "Geological Cloud 2.0" intelligent search system is an engine for fast search of data resources and systems on the cloud. The geological environment sub-node of "Geological Cloud 2.0" as one of distributed sub-nodes on the cloud provides data information for intelligent search. In order to serve better the "Geological Cloud 2.0" intelligent search, the metadata and exchange format of the geological environment entity database was defined to construct intelligent search indexing. And the metadata content interactive push process was introduced from the geological environment sub-node entity database to "Geological Cloud 2.0" intelligent search system. The results show that the geological environmental sub-node search information for Geological Cloud 2.0 intelligent search is synchronized with entity database and has attention, which provides experience for the construction and upgrade of the "Geological Cloud" intelligent search in the future.

Rapid evolution of digital technologies has pushed the requirements for the monitoring-related systems far more beyond to what we could imagine not so long ago. Even if the main requirements for the input in any monitoring system are "correctness" and "real-time" data characteristics, and the expected output are some decisions and actions, these are not enough anymore. Data and digitalization are the causes of the Industry 4.0 (r)evolution, while the effect is data-driven manufacturing. Due to globalization and fierce competition in the markets, to gain higher results, players from any industrial sector must take care of plenty of factors. Among them, the data play a crucial role, but not as a raw value but as a (valuable) asset. To become such an asset, it matters how it is leveraged (acquired, transported, processed, harnessed etc.), since of its efficient collection and processing depends the optimality of taken decisions and performed actions. The basic purpose of monitoring is to control and supervise some system at all or some of its parameters to decide later upon actions that follows [1]. Using information technologies in monitoring activities opens many possibilities in such important areas as health and security, industrial sectors, military etc. Wireless Sensor Networks in industrial automation play a key role in supporting communication. Since they can be quickly deployed, these offer a high level of flexibility. On the other hand, to get the best possible outcome from gathered data, there is a mandatory to appeal to the appropriate digital technologies. In modern era, the primary choice for such kind of requirements start from "The Cloud".

The problem of water scarcity has become one of the major problems facing our country, in order to make rational use of water resources and make agricultural production sustainable. At the end of the last century, relevant scholars and experts raised the issue of fine management of irrigated agriculture. The intelligent farmland irrigation water-saving system is a scientific and technological product based on the development of science and technology and environmental protection. Through the microprocessor system, an intelligent irrigation watersaving system that can automatically adjust the gate and information communication is designed. The problem of economic loss caused by waste of water and reduced production due to old-fashioned irrigation methods has been solved. The central computer equipped with a central monitoring system will automatically handle various problems arising from irrigation. The realization of the intelligent control system is to combine the human way of thinking with hardware and software, and it only needs the intervention of human beings to automate the running system. The whole intelligent farmland water-saving irrigation system consists of two parts: hardware and software. The hardware system includes single-chip core controller, wireless transmitting and receiving module, various sensors, human-computer interaction system, etc., and the software system adopts C language programming.

The purposes of the research are to design and develop the automation control plant monitoring system and evaluate the effect of using this prototype. This system is able to control significant environmental factors that affect plant growth including temperature, humidity, light and water. To facilitate this process, the Arduino board was adapted to program the various sensors used to control temperature and humidity for cultivation. The applications of this prototype include the preparation of the plant nutrient solution, to design the automated system to control the opening-the leading solution for automated control system. The result of the experimental project demonstrated that the system works well in the automated mode.

With the surge in global data consumption with proliferation of Internet of Things (IoT), remote monitoring and control is increasingly becoming popular with a wide range of applications from emergency response in remote regions to monitoring of environmental parameters. Mesh networks are being employed to alleviate a number of issues associated with single-hop communication such as low area coverage, reliability, range and high energy consumption. Low-power Wireless Personal Area Networks (LoWPANs) are being used to help realize and permeate the applicability of IoT. In this paper, we present the design and test of IEEE 802.15.4-compliant smart IoT nodes with multi-hop routing. We first discuss the features of the software stack and design choices in hardware that resulted in high RF output power and then present field test results of different baseline network topologies in both rural and urban settings to demonstrate the deployability and scalability of our solution.

Water is one of the most important resources nowadays, which is why a good management can bring multiple benefits in modern society. With the continuous increase of water consumption, there is significant research regarding the efficiency of water control and monitoring process, in order to make optimal decisions for the proper functioning of a healthy eco-system. In the current paper we present a system that uses a water distribution network to evaluate the integration of modern concepts in a smart, secure and distributed approach for consumer demand monitoring. An IoT architecture is used for collecting data from smart meters, with push-based data exchange and reactive programming patterns. The network is integrated with a blockchain solution developed using Hyperledger Fabric to ensure an additional layer of security and transparency, while being used as an audit tool as well as data provider for decision support systems.
