The utilization of water, pesticides, and herbicides by producers is being transformed by AI. Precision cultivation enhances sustainability and efficiency. An AI-based irrigation and pesticide/herbicide targeting system is suggested in this paper. Machine learning, computer vision, and IoT sensors comprise the system. The system can distribute water and fertilizers in accordance with the requirements of the crop by monitoring real-time soil moisture, temperature, and insect activity. Machine learning algorithms can forecast optimal irrigation regimens and address insect infestations exclusively in drone-impacted areas, thereby reducing waste and environmental impact. Without affecting crop health or productivity, a pilot study decreased pesticide use by 25% and water usage by 30%. The AI-driven system enhances precision agriculture by promoting sustainable cultivation, reducing costs, and increasing efficiency. © 2024 IEEE.

The proposed paper focuses on the development of a distributed, cloud-connected, measurement system for air contaminant migration monitoring using an Internet of Things sensor grid, for households with multiple heating systems (dual-heating systems). The continuous monitoring system with data transfer to the cloud and the possibility of near real-time detection of not only danger from contaminant accumulations but also from unscheduled or not allowed access to the given area. Moreover, due to cloud components, the data analysis of multiple measurements can be evaluated over longer periods to predict occupant behaviour or the need to ventilate specific rooms or areas. The novelty of the paper is associated with the concept of Industry 4.0 where large quantities of data allow us to search for new ways for the data to be used or to find new information in the data. In this case, the dynamic measurement system of contaminant detection is evaluated for use as the access control system with near real-time information to the user. © 2023 IEEE.

In traditional networks, service function chains consist of multiple network service devices that data flows traverse from source to destination, which leads to unnecessary resource waste due to issues like fixed network topology and deployments. SDN/NFV breakthroughs in decoupled control and hardware virtualization provide server virtualization techniques that lift limitations of traditional network bottom layer resources. This enables possibilities for reducing link latency and resource overhead to achieve adaptive *** propose DeepSFC, a distributed self-learning service chain orchestration method based on DRL. After offline training, the intelligent agents apply online with minimal overhead. Without requiring expert knowledge, they can make orchestration decisions by periodically observing environmental monitoring information. Each agent only observes its direct neighbors rather than requiring global knowledge. Compared to state-of-the-art heuristic and DRL algorithms, DeepSFC significantly improves throughput on real-world network topology and traffic traces (11% and 15%), while each online decision takes less time (1 ms). © 2024 IEEE.

The environmental issues have become increasingly prominent, and water environments have remained a major societal concern. Surface pollutants in rivers are one of the key factors damaging water environments. Given the large number and wide distribution of rivers, manual river inspections and the collection of floating objects are time-consuming and labor-intensive. In this study, a river surface floating objects detection method based on deep learning is proposed. To address the noise issues caused by interferences in natural scenes, an image preprocessing method based on median filtering and Laplace operator is studied. In order to select the most suitable deep learning algorithm, this work compares the YOLOv5, Faster-RCNN, and SSD algorithms. After comparative analysis, an optimized YOLOv5 model is proposed for detecting floating objects on river surfaces. Finally, a visualization platform is developed based on PyQt5, enabling real-time monitoring and display of floating objects in river surveillance videos. Experimental results demonstrate that this method can effectively detect floating objects on river surfaces, with recall rate of 0.741 for artificial trash, mAP@0.5 of 0.798, and mAP@0.5:0.95 of 0.704. This system achieves real-time surface floating objects monitoring in rivers and open channels, providing crucial information for the protection and management of water environments.

Aiming at the problems that the existing computer room environment monitoring system has a low communication efficiency and can't access to Ethernet, a new system that can monitor environmental parameters in real time and has the ability to remotely control the equipment is designed. The system mainly consists of a controller and multiple monitors. The controller and the monitor both use STM32 chips based on the ARM core. The monitors are loaded with various sensors to collect environmental parameters. The controller obtains the data of the monitor and responds to the abnormal situation, alarms and automatically opens the safety equipment in the computer room, so that environmental parameters are restored to normal. The controller is connected to the W5500 chip through the SPI interface. The W5500 driver is combined with FreeModbus protocol stack in the software to complete the Modbus TCP protocol communication function between the controller and the host computer. After testing, the intelligent computer room environment monitoring system can monitor the environmental parameters of the computer room in real time. And it can communicate with the host computer via Ethernet to complete the functions of data storage, viewing and controlling the device to meet the expected requirements. © 2023 ACM.

The Internet of Things (IoT) has the potential to revolutionize agriculture by enabling precise monitoring and control of environmental conditions. However, in certain areas, the application of IoT in agriculture is still limited, and beginner growers often lack the necessary knowledge to optimize chili plant growth. This project aims to address these issues by developing an IoT-based smart monitoring system for chili plants. The objectives are to assist users in real-time monitoring of plant growth and provide guidance for optimal cultivation practices. The methodology involves the integration of sensors (temperature, humidity, and soil moisture) connected to an Arduino (NodeMCU esp8266) to collect data, which is then transmitted to ThingSpeak and Firebase databases for real-time monitoring via a mobile application. User testing was conducted to evaluate the system's effectiveness. Results indicated that the system significantly improved users' ability to monitor and manage chili plant growth. The educational content within the application was found to be highly beneficial, and the interactive game feature enhanced user engagement. In conclusion, the IoT-based system successfully assists growers in optimizing chili plant cultivation and has the potential to be expanded to other crops, contributing to smarter agricultural practices. © 2024 IEEE.

This paper presents an innovative framework combining neuromorphic computing and stream processing analytics for energy-efficient smart greenhouse management. The proposed Adaptive Greenhouse Optimization and Resource Integration (AGORI) methodology addresses key challenges in real-time environmental monitoring, energy optimization, and sustainable agriculture. By leveraging Meta Spark Creator AR for visualization and implementing a novel hybrid algorithm combining Spiking Neural Networks (SNNs) with streaming data analytics, our system achieves 47% improved energy efficiency and 38% better crop yield prediction accuracy compared to traditional methods. The framework was validated across 14 international deployment sites, demonstrating robust performance under diverse climatic conditions. Results show significant improvements in resource utilization and operational sustainability, with particular emphasis on power stability and green energy integration. © 2024 IEEE.

The aim of the intelligent monitoring and Management System (ITMMS) is to increase road safety by monitoring measures. It is one of the major building blocks of an Advanced Traffic Management System. This system is incorporated the following features such as a user-friendly human machine interface, a dashboard to configure, visualize, and analyze traffic patterns, to monitor and manage a network of C-DAC adaptive traffic signal controllers installed at different junctions, a User Management System, a centralized junction configuration module and control traffic signals remotely. It has monitoring features in different visual formats such as trends, charts, reports, and live animation screens. The user management system provides user based alarms, and user specific authorization to access different software modules. The centralized junction configuration tool facilitates plan download, and upload functionality to configure the junctions remotely. Also, it receives online junction patterns periodically from different junction controllers, and the same will be distributed to associated software modules for display, reporting and processing by the Adaptive Traffic control System Composite Signal control Strategy. © 2023 IEEE.

In order to ensure the accuracy of the monitoring system, this paper experimentally designs and determines to set up sensor nodes in the distributed power supply branch points, collects the current, voltage, and high-frequency signals of these branch points, and forms a cluster of every 20-40 nodes. Using short-range communication Zig Bee technology, a tree-shaped wireless sensor network can be formed. Each network uses C language to program the improved PSO algorithm, and embedded in the ZigBee core chip CC2530, thus constructing a monitoring platform based on the PSO algorithm of the underlying data acquisition system. The bottom layer data of the monitoring system is input into the bottom layer embedded system through the convergence node of the wireless sensor network, and then uploaded to the central control center by the embedded system through the public transmission network to realize the remote centralized monitoring of the distributed power supply. The intelligent computer video monitoring system based on particle swarm optimization (PSO) algorithm explored in this paper is proved experimentally to be superior to other techniques in terms of MOTA index, MT, FP, etc., with the values of 99%, 120 times, and 99 times of the traditional techniques, respectively. © 2023 IEEE.

Water is essential for the sustenance of all life forms, comprehensive and accurate assessment of water environmental quality is of great significance to promote the prevention and control measures of water pollution. By collecting the water quality monitoring data of 34 monitoring points in Xiangjiang River Basin for more than 10 years published by China environmental monitoring Station, environmental Professional Knowledge Service System and Hunan Provincial Department of Ecological Environment, the water quality index data set was constructed. After data cleaning, using Single Factor method, Comprehensive Water Quality Index Identification method, combined with statistical method and Mann-Kendall Trend Test and other technical methods, the water quality change of Xiangjiang River from 2013 to 2023 was analyzed and studied. The results showed that due to proper water environment management, water quality indexes such as NH3-N showed a downward trend year by year, and the Class I water standard was maintained after 2019. It showed that the water environment management in Xiangjiang River basin has achieved remarkable results in the improvement of water quality, water resources management and social participation, and had realized a virtuous cycle of economic development and ecological environmental protection. © 2024 IEEE.
