In order to process the massive distributed data, control the agricultural facilities intelligently and improve the production efficiency, a parallel Dirichlet Process Mixture Model (DPMM) clustering method is proposed in this paper based on Spark, which is a memory computing framework. Firstly, the prediction model of skylight opening degree in greenhouse is obtained by training the agricultural environmental and facilities data. Secondly, the model is used to predict the greenhouse skylight opening degree. Thirdly, by compared experiments, both the feasibility and the efficiency of the proposed parallel clustering are verified, the prediction accuracy is also calculated. The experimental results show that the proposed approach has higher efficiency and accuracy.

Automotive electronics is developing a standard in vehicles. In-vehicle networking is used in control circuits to increase vehicle safety and reliability to ensure intelligentcontrol with high performance. This paper presents the development of vehicle speed controlled driving system for a semi-autonomous vehicle to reduce or avoid emergency conditions while improving the driver-vehicle interface. In-vehicle networking works with different protocols which is a method for communicating data among distributed electronic modules via a serial data bus. CAN is a vehicle bus used for communication between microcontrollers without host computer. This system will analyze and introduce monitoring and controlling automatic headlight, vehicle speed control with obstacle detection, temperature, seat-belt and battery voltage to handle an emergency situation through two nodes which are communicating through CAN protocol. In order to process abnormal problems of massive distributed greenhouse environmental data, a novel anomaly detection algorithm based on the combination of Support Vector Machine (SVM) and Gaussian Mixture Model (GMM) is proposed and realized under the Spark framework, which is utilized to detect the environmental anomaly during crop growth. At the first stage, SVM is adopted to classify the data, Spark framework is utilized to solve optimization problem iteratively;at the second stage, GMM is used to do clustering on the classified data respectively. Spark framework is utilized to update the models internationally until stable, during every iteration. Map phase implements the distribution of the sample points to the models. Reduce phase renew the numbers of models and the parameters. Finally, the detection of environmental anomaly is completed by taking advantages of the clustering result. The results show that the proposed approach can be well applied to actual production.

In this study, a bottom-up energy system optimization model is developed to assist the decision-making towards a sustainable energy system in the local area, while accounting for both supply-side and demand-side measures. The demand-side energy efficiency measures have been modeled as virtual energy generators, so as to be considered within a uniform optimization framework. The optimization model can provide feasible system configuration of both supply-side and demand-side appliances, as well as corresponding operating strategies, in terms of either economic performance or environmental benefit. As an illustrative example, a residential area located in Kitakyushu, Japan, is employed for analysis. The simulation results suggest that the combination of distributed energy resources and energy efficiency measures may result in better economic, energy and environmental performances. Moreover, it is technically and economically feasible to achieve more than 40% reduction in CO2 emissions within the local area.

The smart city uses digital, computer, and communication technologies to enhance quality and performance of urban services by reducing costs and resource consumption. The smart city aims to drive economic growth and improve the living standards using state-of-the-art technology. Evolution of wireless sensor networks has been started from the idea that small wireless sensors can be used to gather information from the physical environment, in many situations ranging from monitoring the environmental, surveillance for security, health care, automated building control, traffic control, and object tracking. Sensors help each other to relay the information to the base station. The existing work includes simulation of routing protocols for WSNs in smart city and some hardware implementation. This paper presents a swarm intelligent routing algorithm for wireless sensor network to implement smart city. The particle swarm optimization (PSO) algorithm being most efficient is chosen for implementation (Yamille dl valle et al. in IEEE Trans Power Syst 12 (2): 171-195, 2008 [1]). This paper has presented the implementation of prototype for smart homes and solid waste management system, and has also proposed the solution for street light intensity control and traffic congestion detection. For smart homes, fire detection, gas leakage detection, temperature control, and light intensity control are considered, while the designed solid waste control system is capable of detecting garbage level in dustbin and conveys it to the central monitoring system. The implemented prototypes for smart homes and waste management show that it will lead toward improvement of the living standard of the people living in smart city by way of energy conservation, health, and hygiene.

In today's world, population growth causes more traffic congestion, air pollution, fuel consumption, infrastructural inadequacy, health problems and so on. In order to solve these problems, some structures that have centralized, coordinated and cost efficiency plans with using limited resources through information technology, are necessary. So some smart city applications in energy, environment, transportation, infrastructure etc. have being developed to solve these problems of big cities. One of the most important smart city applications is intelligent transportation systems that allow people to drive more securely and comfortably by controlling the traffic density in urban-city. intelligent transport systems are designed to keep the traffic under control and manage the traffic dynamically according to changing traffic conditions. The most important issue in intelligent transportation systems which consist of many sub-modules such as signaling systems, electronic monitoring systems, parking management systems, is the signalization of traffic lights. Traffic signalization has been studied in the literature on many times with different perspectives. On the other hand, data to be used in traffic signaling optimization are obtained by measurement devices such as detectors, cameras etc. in traditional systems. Since these systems can be easily affected by environmental factors, it has been seen that VANET architecture is preferred for data gathering from field to center in recent academic studies. In this study, we applied traffic signaling optimization with using ant colony algorithm on an urban isolated intersection structure. Vehicles movement are set according to VANET architecture and traffic data are transmitted from road to center via VANET. It was aimed to show that decreasing in average waiting times of vehicles at intersections reduces the CO 2 emissions, fuel consumption and noise ratios in the study. Power distribution networks are often widely distributed to accommodate electrical power feeds to dense cities while monitoring and control systems typically require extensive information exchange among numerous intelligent electronic devices. Using the existing network infrastructure, cellular technology appears as a key enabler for the support of large-scale metering deployments and wide-area monitoring systems. In this paper, we evaluate the performance of the contention-based random-access mechanism of LTE networks for real-time monitoring and metering applications. In particular, the impact of smart grid traffic is investigated in terms of access delay and outage probability under different network configurations and traffic characteristics. Simulations of realistic network-overload scenarios demonstrate that the random-access channel of LTE/LTE-A is prone to congestion when a high number of smart grid devices attempt for network access, while the bursty nature of monitoring traffic results in even higher performance degradation.
