In this paper, we created the multimedia web application with ITS (intelligent Transportation Systems) implemented in DMIS (distributed Multimedia Information System)(http://***/cns_admi- ***),for traffic monitoring and managing in Doboj-Prnjavor regional road section, the Republic of Srpska (RS), Bosnia and Hercegovina (BH). The focus of the research goals is oriented on the CCMS (Central control Multimedia System) modul for experimental monitoring of public bus transport and the creation of opportunities for informing the users proactively about the current location of the buses in the Doboj-Prnjavor road section and the time of arrival at the destination stop, and monitoring the number of contextual parameters of this system.

In recent vehicles, multifunctional displaying of various data from Electronic control Units (ECUs) and multimedia devices is required for monitoring or for safe driving. control Area Network (CAN) is generally used for transmitting status data such as diagnostic information of a vehicle. For automotive audio/video data, either Media Oriented Systems Transport (MOST) or 1Gbps synchronous Ethernet is used. And also, several types of out-vehicle and in vehicle cameras are attached to be used for infotainment, logging and intelligent safe driving. In this paper, a real-time streaming system for multifunctional displaying of two types of vehicle information is presented. The first data type is the vehicle status information from an ECU via CAN. The second one is the Motion JPEG (MJPEG) video data from an Ethernet camera device. After gathering CAN and MJPEG frames, the streaming system combines them into messages in a new frame format and streams them to a multifunction display device in real-time. In order to provide timeliness of streaming of two different types of frames with different bandwidths, several real-time data acquisition tasks and a real-time streaming task are necessary. Of course, a suitable deadline-driven real-time scheduling for each task is also required according to the timing characteristic of the task. For the modeling of the timeliness-guaranteed system, the Time-triggered Message triggered Object (TMO), a well-known real-time distributed object model, was used in modeling the system. As an execution engine for TMOs, a middleware for real-time distributed computing on Linux, named Linux TMO System (LTMOS) v2.0, was used. Considering that 1Gbps Synchronous Ethernet is emerging as a next-generation backbone for automotive networks, the developed system is expected to be used widely in the developments of multifunction displays for vehicles in the near future.

Edit paper distributed sensor networks have been discussed for more than 30 years, but the vision of Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs) has been brought into reality only by the rapid advancements in the areas of sensor design, information technologies, and wireless networks that have paved the way for the proliferation of WSNs. The unique characteristics of sensor networks introduce new challenges, amongst which prolonging the sensor lifetime is the most important. WSNs have seen a tremendous growth in various application areas including health care, environmental monitoring, security, and military purposes despite prominent performance and availability challenges. Clustering plays an important role in enhancement of the life span and scalability of the network, in such applications. Although researchers continue to address these grand challenges, the type of distributions for arrivals at the cluster head and intermediary routing nodes is still an interesting area of investigation. Modelling the behaviour of the networks becomes essential for estimating the performance metrics and further lead to decisions for improving the network performance, hence highlighting the importance of identifying the type of inter-arrival distributions at the cluster head. In this paper, we present extensive discussions on the assumptions of exponential distributions in WSNs, and present numerical results based on Q-Q plots for estimating the arrival distributions. The work is further extended to understand the impact of end-to-end delay and its effect on inter-arrival time distributions, based on the type of medium access control used in WSNs. Future work is also presented on the grounds that such comparisons based on simple eye checks are insufficient. Since in many cases such plots may lead to incorrect conclusions, demanding the necessity for validating the types of distributions. Statistical analysis is necessary to estimate and validate the empirical distributions of the arrivals in

In harsh and complex electric power system environments of Smart Grid, the observed signal is always disturbed by multiple signal sources, environmental noise or sudden packet loss, generating a significant challenge for reliable remote monitoring. In this paper, we propose a new post-processing detecting scheme for wireless data transmission in the distributed monitoring system to highly tolerate these interferences after transmission procedure and exactly reconstruct the observed signal from rough data in the sink center. Hardware or algorithm implementation to prevent the possible failures is not necessary in sensors, which perfectly solves the problem about changing batteries or updating software for practical application with thousands of energy-constrained sensors. The sink center with high computational capability and abundant energy resource decides the tolerance of interference and retransmission condition, reconstructs the observed signal from the mixing sensed data of sensors by the estimation of frequency domain amplitude via compressed sensing with regarding frequency domain amplitude of the interference signal as 0. In the proposed scheme, we implement compressed sensing with an l(1)-l(2) optimization, where the cost function is defined as a sum of l(1) and l(2) norms with a mixing parameter, which enables us to control the threshold between the observed signal and the interference ones.

This paper suggests a new schema for combining functionalities from the Personal ITS station and Vehicle ITS station. In CoMoSeF - project we are simplifying the In Vehicle Domain architecture by fusing the Human-machine interface (HMI), as specified by ETSI, and the Application Unit into one Application Unit unit that is running on the smartphone. In the Smartphone-Centric Service Model the Application Unit and the HMI reside in a nomadic device and the connection to the Communication and control Unit (CCU) is done utilizing WiFi. Both vehicle and roadside ITS stations communicate with other stations using standardized distributed environmental Notification Messages, DENMs. Those messages are received and sent via the CCU over IEEE802.11p. Messages are used to provide information about a specific driving environment, incident or some other traffic event to other stations. In CoMoSeF-project a basic In-vehicle signage (IVS) application implementation will be released. Also the Probe vehicle or road side unit (RSU) data use case can be easily implemented with this architecture. As an example of the implementation, we introduce a road weather measuring RSU station. The CoMoSeF vehicle ITS station provides a proof-of-concept of a Smartphone-centric service model, which is the first step forward to aftermarket V2X solutions during the transitional phase when VANET systems are not widely available yet.

environmental monitoring, an important application for robots, has begun to be addressed recently with linear least squares regression techniques because they estimate the values of measured attributes and their uncertainty. But several challenges remain when performing adaptive sampling in a communication-constrained distributed multi-robot setting. When the attributes of interest evolve over time (as is natural for many environments) any non-homogeneous spatial variability may necessitate continual re-modeling of the field dynamics and/or re-sampling of the field. This raises questions about the robots' division of labor and workload balance that can be difficult to address when sample information is not stored centrally. This paper tackles these coordination problems efficiently by introducing a sub-division-based modeling technique appropriate for distributed decision-making. We augment Ordinary Kriging to enable representation of a field's (potentially non-homogeneous) evolution through Bayes filtering that characterize the underlying dynamics. This approach not only enables adaptive path planning in the field, but the sub-divided areas lead to a straightforward formulation of the optimal workload distribution through modification of an approximate graph partitioning algorithm. Using a simulated multi-robot sampling scenario, we demonstrate and validate the approach. The experiments show good performance in terms of cross validation using real values and illustrate how hotspots are identified and modeled, in turn affecting the division of labor.

The computer Numerical control (CNC) in manufacturing brings advantages like faster, smoother and easer machining of curves, complex 3-D dimensioned profile. Primitive CNC machine tools could not compromise on product quality and process efficiency. The ability to monitor and control multiple process modules increases productivity, improves the quality of products and enhances prognostic capability for near-zero break down performance in the machining process. The monitoring capabilities of individual machine and the cooperation ability of business bring in an overall optimal performance. This paper proposes an framework for machine tools supervisory system (MSS), which includes an information model at sensors level, a RESTful model at communications level and a distributed model at applications level. This paper presents a prototype system. We show that our approach can meet the demand of manufacturing supervisor.
