In the intersection scene, millimeter wave radar has poor perception effect on static target, and its visual perception has the problem of missing detection of small target. In order to solve these problems, the convolutional attention mechanism is introduced in this paper, and VariFocal loss and CIoU loss are used to optimize the loss function of YOLOX to improve the detection performance of small targets. To solve the problem of static target missing detection, the sensor fusion algorithm of millimeter wave radar and camera based on double similarity index is designed, and the sensor fusion accuracy is improved by the target state correction method. Finally, the algorithm is transplanted to the roadside edge computing equipment, and the test data is collected and analyzed under different weather conditions. The results show that the accuracy of perception fusion algorithm can reach 91.33% in sunny, cloudy and night scenarios.

The Digital Earth (DE) is a digital twin of the real earth, whose shape is approximated by a 3D reference ellipsoid. Abstract relationship among objects in the world can be represented by graph visualization on the DE. However, because the diversity of curvature on ellipsoid, it is generally difficult to construct accurate and concise curvature-fitting edges for 3D graph visualization. Therefore, a curvature-fitting ellipsoidal graph visualization algorithm (CFE) is proposed to address the gap. The core work is a novel ellipsoidal linear interpolation (ELERP) with closed form. ELERP is derived by the combination of spherical linear interpolation (SLERP) and composite transformation W. W accomplishes the scaled transformation from general ellipsoid into unit sphere and implements the rotation from 3D inclined plane into 2D XY-plane. In W, Householder matrix H is from the Hadamard product generated from the geometric composite information of ellipsoid and plane. H has concise computation stemmed from the excellent properties that its inverse and transpose are itself. Lastly, using ELERP and Bezier interpolation to construct a new beret-style and curvature-fitting edge. The experimental results verify the validity of CFE. Compared with classical complex geodesic algorithm, CFE is faster and more concise. Generally, CFE provides an ellipsoidal graph visualization, which will be applied on ellipsoid-based celestial bodies in the vast universe, such as, earth, moon and Mars.

This paper explores the issue of accurate colour reproduction in medical imaging. It considers key problems and lists standards related to the process of forming and displaying medical images. Particular attention is paid to the fact that the existing standards do not take into account the individual characteristics of colour perception in different doctors. In the conditions of using modern displays with wide colour coverage this can lead to errors in colour rendering for a particular doctor, which, in turn, reduces the accuracy of disease diagnostics. The application of optimal LUT (Look-Up Table) with variable resolution to recalculate the colour space of the display is proposed, which allows to personalise the image for individual features of the doctor's vision and improve the accuracy of diagnosis. Experimental results demonstrating the advantages of the proposed approach over classical colour transform methods are presented. The results confirm that the use of variable resolution LUT can reduce colour rendering errors and improve the quality of medical diagnostics.

This research study focuses on developing an advanced machine learning system for the accurate classification of brain tumors using MRI scans. Traditional manual diagnosis consumes more time in deciding the type of brain tumor as there are very little changes in every type. Utilizing computer vision’s feature extraction techniques, including texture analysis and shape characterization, the proposed system aims to differentiate between various tumor types such as meningioma, glioma, pituitary, and non-tumor cases. The models used to validate the accuracy of the brain tumor classification system are Logistic Regression, Convolution Neural Network (CNN), and Visual Geometry Group(VGG), which are simple yet effective way to train and deploy in the radiology system to enhance diagnostic accuracy in neurooncology, and improve patient outcomes.

In the field of geometry and computer-aided design Bézier surfaces are well known for their flexibility and effectiveness, in depicting shapes. However, dealing with real-world data and model parameters often involves uncertainty and imprecision that regular Bézier surfaces struggle to handle. This piece introduces the idea of interval-valued fuzzy Bézier Surface Approximation, an approach that combines logic and interval arithmetic to tackle uncertainty in surface modeling. In this paper, interval-valued fuzzy Bézier surface approximation is introduced. The interval-valued fuzzy control net relation is defined and introduced. Next, the surface blending function is obtained by blending the interval-valued fuzzy control net with the Bernstein blending function. Lastly, the data points or interval-valued fuzzy control net relation of the basis function is illustrated using the approximation method with the interval-valued fuzzy concept and features to produce an interval-valued fuzzy Bézier surface. The application of Bézier surfaces can be extended to handle a wide range of complex modeling and offers a more precise and dependable tool for engineering, graphics, and data visualization applications.

visualization is the theory, technology, and method of using computer information technology to convert data into graphics or images, and then to interact with humans. In this chapter, the application scenarios of visualization teaching have been discussed based on numerical simulation technology, following the aspects of topic selection, theoretical analysis, numerical calculation, and result discussion. Python software is used to study the impact of release height, launch angle, and drag on the trajectory of projectile motion, as well as the changes in light diffraction for different obstacle shapes. And the graphical reproduction and result analysis of projectile motion trajectories and diffraction light intensity distribution under different conditions are achieved, by using the tools of Python script and Jupyter Notebook. The results show that whether it is script program or the Jupyter notebook, Python’s rich text editing capabilities and interactive interface features can achieve both adjustable parameters for problem research and visibility of results. The application of visualization technology makes the thinking process concrete and personalized in problem discussions, and changes the classroom teaching model from "closed" to "open." visualization teaching is not only conducive to learners’ understanding of the essence of principles and laws, but also effectively promotes the enhancement of creative thinking abilities, which makes the teaching methods of basic physics courses greatly enriched. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2025.

Integrating Graph Neural Networks (GNNs) into hyperspectral (HS) image classification has led to impressive gains in accuracy. However, GNN models are complex, making it difficult to see exactly how they reach their conclusions. This study looks at how eXplainable Artificial Intelligence (XAI) techniques can make GNN-based HS classification more transparent. Methods like Grad-CAM and Grad-CAM++ are applied to gain insight into the model’s decision-making process, while Saliency Maps and Integrated Gradients show the impact of individual HS bands on those choices. Testing on the popular Indian Pines HS dataset reveals that some spectral bands are particularly influential in guiding the model’s classifications. By improving model transparency, this work aims to increase trust in GNNs and support their broader use in remote sensing applications.

Rendering lies at the heart of our modern web experience. However, the correctness of browser rendering is not always guaranteed, often leading to rendering bugs. Traditional differential testing, while successful in various domains, falls short when applied to rendering bug detection because an HTML file is likely yield different rendered outcomes across different browsers. This paper introduces Visual Delta Consistency, a test oracle to detect rendering bugs in web browsers, aiming to make rendered pages across browsers comparable. Our key insight is that any modifications made to an HTML file should uniformly influence rendering outcomes across browsers. Specifically, when presented with two HTML files that differ only by minor modifications, the reaction of all browsers should be consistent, i.e., either all browsers render them identically or all render them differently. Based on this insight, We implemented it as a practical fuzzer named Janus. It constructs pairs of slightly modified HTML files and observes the change statuses of the corresponding rendered pages across browsers for bug detection. We evaluated it on three widely-used browsers, i.e., Chrome, Safari, and Firefox. In total, Janus detected 31 non-crash rendering bugs, out of which 24 confirmed with 8 fixed.

A secret image transmission technique has been put forward in this paper using (3,3) visual cryptographic shares generated from secret image that are fabricated into frames in graphics Interchange Format (GIFs) to prevent any intruder from knowing the secret contained in the GIFs. The (3, 3) Visual Cryptography technique creates shares from a binary secret image. Using GIFs as communication hosts, each share has been embedded into the Least Significant Bit (LSB) of the pixels of any single meaningful frame of GIFs. The shares obtained from the corresponding meaningful frames of the GIFs, during decoding, are combined to create the authenticated image. The combination of visual cryptography (VC) technique and steganographic principles ensures not only the secure distribution of shares but also adds an extra layer of protection through the integration of the GIF format.

Virtual Reality (VR) based assessment systems can simulate diverse real-life scenarios and help clinicians assess participants' performance under controlled functional contexts. Our previous work demonstrated an assessment paradigm to provide multi-sensory stimuli and cognitive load, and quantify walking balance with obstacle negotiation by motion capture and pressure sensing. However, we need to fill two gaps to make it more clinically relevant: 1. it required offline complex data processing with external statistical analysis software;2. it utilized motion tracking but overlooked eye movement. Therefore, we present a novel walking balance assessment system with eye tracking to investigate the role of eye movement in walking balance and spatial data visualization to better interpret and understand the experimental data. The spatial visualization includes instantaneous in-situ VR replay for the gaze, head, and feet;and data plots for the outcome measures. The system fills a need to provide eye tracking and intuitive feedback in VR to experimenters, clinicians, and participants in real-time. © 2021 Owner/Author.
