Due to its numerous use cases across a variety of sectors, virtual reality (VR) is becoming a more and more vital technology nowadays. With the help of this technology, 3D visualization for different real-life situations is improved. It offers a fresh method of interacting with the patient's soft tissue. Therefore, the applications of this technology are in the sphere of medicine and are becoming more and more adopted by the healthcare community. This article presents a literature review on research projects related to virtual reality in health informatics. For this, we have screened 430 research publications related to virtual reality in healthcare and selected 17 publications for the review that matched our selection criteria. Finally, we discussed future research perspectives and research challenges in virtual reality-enabled healthcare architecture. © 2022 Copyright for this paper by its authors. However, the diverse design requirements and variations in 3D modeling and rendering techniques pose challenges for different product designs. For instance, the rendering of materials such as metal and glass requires specific attention to highlights and environmental ***-Aided Industrial Design (CAID) has revolutionized the industrial design field by providing designers with a robust platform for conceptualizing and developing products. This research focuses on examining the impact of 3D modeling and rendering techniques on product design, with a specific emphasis on the creation of a ceremonial spice jar set. The utilization of 3D modeling and rendering offers numerous advantages, including the ability to visualize intricate details, evaluate ergonomics, and simulate real-world scenarios, thereby fostering innovation and precision. Furthermore, this study explores the process of designing a ceremonial spice jar set that exudes elegance and ritual. By leveraging 3D modeling and rendering, designers have the opportunity to unleash their creativity and meticulously craft every contour and texture, ensuring a seamless integration of form and function. Additionally, careful consideration of cultural nuances, user preferences, and material choices is essential in order to evoke the desired sense of ceremony. By paying attention to lighting, materials, and proportions, digital models can be transformed into realistic representations that enhance the visual appeal of the product. Brain tumors are complex and potentially life-threatening conditions requiring accurate diagnosis. This study explores using VGG16 CNN architecture to classify brain tumors in MRI scans. CNNs excel in image classification but lack transparency, raising concerns in critical applications like medical diagnosis. To address this, we use Explainable AI (XAI) techniques. We enhance interpretability using Superpixel images, Heatmaps, and Image Masks to visualize important features for predictions. Our approach achieves 98.8% accuracy, with visualizations aiding in understanding the model’s decisions and providing insights for medical professionals. This research contributes to XAI in medical imaging, showing the potential of combining deep learning with interpretable methods for healthcare decision-making.

Burnout and job stress are tragic events that unfortunately occur in many professions. In the teaching profession, however, it affects not just the individual, but also several concomitant parties: students, school, and parents. This has lead to the widespread problem of teacher attrition, where the challenge has become not so much to attract teachers, but to retain them. The present research is based on the reflective writing of early career teachers (ECTs). These ECTs volunteered to write short weekly reflections during a period of about half a year. Spotting potential wellbeing problems in these series of reflections, however, calls for careful reading and studying of such large amounts of texts that manual processing became impracticable. Hence, we developed an algorithm which transforms such a stream of reflections into a 3-D visualization of mood changes, in which times of stress and potential for burnout can be detected more easily. The rising trends about disorders related to larynx diseases are alarming. These are mainly caused by issues such as environmental pollution, aging population and more inappropriate use of harmful substances. Such disorders have a very dire effect on the health aspects of people and may lead to graver symptoms. Thus, proper urgent treatment is required for producing timely results in patients to control the impacts of such diseases. Originally developed as an instrument to examine cervical and uterine and epithelial cells for disease diagnosis, contact endoscopy has become a very valuable diagnostic technique for several conditions of the larynx. The terms Contact Micro-Laryngoscopy is used when this technique is employed to examine the larynx. This is a minimal invasive technique, which allows direct real-time visualization of the cellular and vascular anatomy of the superficial layer of the laryngeal mucosa. The idea in this research if the harnessing power of Contact Endoscopy-Narrow Band imaging together. Using CE-NBI, improves the capability of providing diagnosis, highlights anomalies occurring in the larynx.

This paper uses a new visualization method. The goal is to improve the results of 3D image reconstruction. Firstly, the hardware architecture of the system is improved. The clock of the system is extended. The combination of CY25400 micro controller and CDCVF2510 micro controller greatly speeds up the detection speed. Then the key technologies such as image parsing module, image preprocessing module and 3D visualization module are studied. The visualization elements are fed back to the 3D image to realize virtual reconstruction. Finally, the conventional 3D imaging technology is used to complete the simulation and comparison test in the same scene. Experiments show that this method can obtain high 3D image reconstruction effect. The system can clearly show the edge area of the image, and can meet the requirements of users.

Clinical procedures rely heavily on visual data, particularly in diagnostic radiology. Eye-tracking technology was employed in this study to examine the relationship between visual search features and diagnostic performance in capsule endoscopy. Conventional visual search models, developed for static 2D images, may not be suitable for cross-sectional stack imaging used in computed tomography (CT) and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) due to their dynamic nature. The study aimed to address this gap by analyzing the visual search patterns of an expert examining capsule endoscopy images. A framework integrating an eye tracker was developed, and a dataset of 536 images was collected. The eye-tracking system showed high accuracy in capturing gaze data. Expert visual search patterns were found to follow predominantly circular trajectories, with distinct optical flow characteristics. Variations in fixation duration and location were noted, with certain image types exhibiting drilling and scanning patterns. These findings highlight the potential for using eye-tracking data to improve diagnostic accuracy and contribute to radiology education.

This research delves into the intricate relationship between emotions and mental health, acknowledging the profound impact of emotional states on critical aspects such as task-solving ability, concentration, judgment, behavior, and overall daily functioning. Leveraging three distinct approaches to the study of emotions-self-reporting, analysis of nonverbal cues, and physiological assessments-seeking to provide a comprehensive understanding of the complex interplay of emotions in human experiences. Emotion recognition traditionally relies on tracking facial and bodily cues, but the concealment of true emotions remains a challenge for individuals adept at masking their feelings. To address this limitation, our study proposes a novel approach using thermal imaging, capitalizing on the inherent physiological changes in humans during emotional experiences. This research will use VGG16 and EfficientNet to analyze human emotions through thermal image, video, and camera.

Composing radiology reports in hospital settings is labor-intensive, requiring significant expertise from radiologists. This paper introduces a novel approach to enhance medical image captioning by combining Convolutional Neural Networks (CNN) with Transformers. Based on pretrained Inception V3for visual feature extraction, our model employs a Transformer encoder-decoder architecture to generate detailed and contextually accurate descriptions of medical images. Evaluations on the Indiana University chest X-ray dataset demonstrate our model's good performance over traditional methods, as evidenced by BLEU, ROUGE-L, and METEOR scores. This approach shows significant potential in improving diagnostic processes and patient care in medical imaging.

Finding correspondences between 3D shapes is a crucial problem in computer vision and graphics, which is for example relevant for tasks like shape interpolation, pose transfer, or texture transfer. An often neglected but essential property of matchings is geometric consistency, which means that neighboring triangles in one shape are consistently matched to neighboring triangles in the other shape. Moreover, while in practice one often has only access to partial observations of a 3D shape (e.g. due to occlusion, or scanning artifacts), there do not exist any methods that directly address geometrically consistent partial shape matching. In this work we fill this gap by proposing to integrate state-of-the-art deep shape features into a novel integer linear programming partial shape matching formulation. Our optimization yields a globally optimal solution on low resolution shapes, which we then refine using a coarse-to-fine scheme. We show that our method can find more reliable results on partial shapes in comparison to existing geometrically consistent algorithms (for which one first has to fill missing parts with a dummy geometry). Moreover, our matchings are substantially smoother than learning-based state-of-the-art shape matching methods.
