In a hyper-scale cloud data center, a large number of control messages are distributed to hundreds of thousands of compute nodes from a logically centralized control plane. The delivery of these control messages, a.k.a. southbound messages, is critical to cloud infrastructure management, as it greatly affects customer experience. Existing works mainly deal with southbound message delivery by two methods: point-to-point transmission and Message Queue (MQ)-based solutions. With the point-to-point transmission method, each message is sent from the control plane to compute nodes directly, which may cause high control complexity and overhead in hyper-scale clouds. The MQ-based method can address the challenge of high complexity through message aggregation and subscribe/publish model. However, it usually brings in redundant messages, and further causes extra load on compute nodes. To solve the problem above, we design SNIP, which exploits the ability of programmable switches to perform in-network message pruning and to reduce message redundancy. Specffically, forwarding and processing information computed by the control plane is attached to the package header of every control message. Redundant messages can be identified and processed by programmable switches. In addition, we propose a rounding-based algorithm to prune messages with minimal redundancy. The simulation results show that SNIP can reduce the control overhead by 80%-85% and the total traffic of redundant messages by 35% compared with existing solutions.

This article reviews the most commonly used software for designing and simulating the operation of solar photovoltaic systems. A comparative analysis of the installed capacity of SPV compared to other programs that simulate the operation of other renewable energy sources such as wind, biomass and others. The results of the analysis are reviewed to determine how well solar photovoltaic systems are designed and simulated. This is useful in view of data corresponding to the potential for future energy production from decentralized sources and in order to optimize energy costs. In this way, based on the forecasts for the development of the energy market, an adequate assessment of the investments and the return on investments is obtained.

The optimal direction of scientific research in the study of the structural and physical properties of composite materials is presented in article. A plan for experimental and theoretical work has been developed. Methods of modeling the structure of composite materials using a computer are shown. In this case, the software should provide an end result aimed at calculating the required values. The problem of calculation and a research of physical properties of concrete taking into account their structural features are of great theoretical and practical interest. Creation of new manufacturing techniques of construction materials demands theoretical justifications, and often and strict analytical dependences. Also presented is the latest direction in the study of building composite materials, which has the term "computer material science", which studies the properties of composite materials based on computer modeling. All this led to the fact that many researchers began to use idea of the composition nature of the structure of materials that creation of the uniform theory of structuration and properties of construction materials demanded. Economic activities have deteriorated the quality of air, which is a vital natural resource. There has been a lot of research on predicting when terrible air quality will occur, but much of it is limited by a lack of data collected, making it unable to account for periodic and other factors. This article develops and analyses the performances of two higher order neural networks-based forecasts such as pi-sigma neural network (PSNN) and functional link artificial neural network (FLANN) on estimating the air quality index (AQI) of Brarajanagar and Talcher industrial region of Odisha State, India. AQIs at the daily level of two cities are collected from the Kaggle source, preprocessed, and used for modeling and forecasting by the two higher-order neural networks. simulation outcomes and comparative studies are in favor of PSNN and FLANN-based forecasting

In this paper, the discrete time-varying equality constrained optimization (D-TV-ECO) problem based on discrete-time zeroing neural dynamic (DT-ZND) method is studied. Firstly, a continuous time-varying equality constrained optimization (C-TV-ECO) problem is presented. Secondly, the Lagrange function is constructed by introducing the Lagrange method, which integrates the objective function and related constraints into a continuous time-varying system. Then, a continuous-time ZND (CT-ZND) method is built. Afterward, using the discretization derivation method based on the expansion of four-step ZeaD formula (FsZF), a FsZF DT-ZND method for D-TV-ECO problem is proposed, which has two design parameters, including discretization parameter and convergence parameter. Significantly, the truncation error of the FsZF DT-ZND method has been elevated to the fourth-order, thereby enhancing the precision of the calculations. Theoretical analysis indicates that the FsZF DT-ZND method exhibits convergence and stability. In the numerical experiments, the impact of different values of the discretization parameter α and convergence parameter κ is analyzed. Finally, simulation experiments are conducted to further demonstrate the effectiveness and superiority of the FsZF DT-ZND method.

The increasing level of urbanization, the expansion of city scale and the increasing complexity of city functions make the design and management of municipal water supply and drainage system face more and more pressure and challenges. At present, the water supply and drainage system of most cities can only meet the basic water supply and drainage needs of the city, and it is difficult to play more functions and values when facing the role of natural disasters and emergencies represented by heavy rainfall and floods. In addition, the traditional design of municipal water supply and drainage system is relatively old, which is not well adapted to the development of intelligent city development. Based on this, this paper designs the municipal drainage system relying on computer technology, and carries out the informationization and integration design for the subsystems and modules of rainwater pipe network, sewage pipe network and water supply pipe network in the municipal water supply and drainage system. Through detailed analysis of the design content of municipal water supply and drainage projects, this paper uses computer simulation to calculate the municipal pipe network and derive accurate pipe slope data, thus greatly enhancing the efficiency of the municipal pipe network and improving the rationality of the pipe network arrangement.

Assessment is the core and fundament of rehabilitation, which can guide the whole treatment process. In the rehabilitation, doctors or therapists need to assess the function of patients in upper/lower-limb, based on subjective assessment and objective assessment. While it may cause large error and high cost by traditional ways. Therefore, artificial intelligence technology is applied to the field of medical rehabilitation. This review will summarize the application of objective assessment methods which are base on artificial intelligence including not limited, trajectory error feature, joint angels and joint angular velocity, sEMG signal feature. Finally, the review concludes that existing objective methods are generally affected by the scale of data and the number of feature. The hip joint is unique anatomically and physiologically, so a lot of problems may appear through its structure lead to damage. In this study, a 2D/3D model of the hip joint was implemented using a Software platform (SolidWorks Program) to study the behavior of the most common compatible materials that may use to design a hip joint (Ti-6-Al4V, Al2O3, and Cr-Co-Mo alloys) under specific load applied (261.6 N) to compare the behavior of the materials based on stress, strain, and displacement response. The stability of the model was observed and verified by static test and the materials have been applied one by one, the results showed that the use of Al2O3 as a material of femoral head presents higher stress values compared to use Cr-Co-Mo or Ti-6-Al4V alloy, according to strain and displacement, Al2O3 gave the lowest values compared to the rest of the alloys. © 2021 IEEE.

This paper explores how AI coaching can enhance decision-making in cyber risk management, focusing on overcoming cognitive biases like escalation of commitment and groupthink. These biases often hinder effective risk management by causing teams to stick to failing strategies and suppress dissenting opinions. Integrating AI into Rasmussen’s Risk Management Decision Model offers a data-driven, unbiased approach to improve decision-making. The authors used Network Oriented modeling to provide objective insights throughout the risk management process, from identification to mitigation. AI Coaching helps counteract biases such as overconfidence and confirmation bias, leading to more rational and informed decisions. The study emphasizes the importance of adaptive, knowledge-based reasoning, facilitated by AI, to handle complex, evolving cyber threats. The paper includes simulation experiments based on network oriented modeling demonstrating how AI coaching can effectively manage cyber-attack scenarios by mitigating groupthink and enhancing strategic planning. Different scenarios show the impact of AI activation timing and team familiarity with knowledge-based approaches on the effectiveness of the response. Overall, the research highlights the potential of AI to improve cyber risk management by providing continuous, unbiased support, reducing vulnerability to cyber threats, and fostering a more adaptive and resilient security posture. This paper presents an unsupervised dynamic collision detection approach based on obstacle point cloud envelope model. Based on the generated robot envelope model using the D-H parameters, an invalid point cloud filtering method is designed to filter the point cloud data out of the reachable space of the robot. The oriented bounding box is then adopted to generate an approximate obstacle model. The relevant simplex is further calculated by fusing the robot envelope model, and the Gilbert-Johnson-Keerthi algorithm is employed to take the collision detection between model cells. A collision detection experimental platform was finally constructed to verify the feasibility and effectiveness of the proposed approach. © 2021, Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.
