Edge computing offers a groundbreaking architecture for supplying computing, storage, and networking resources to propel the Internet of Things forward. By situating them at the network's edge, this model makes computational power more accessible to users. If tasks are executed entirely at the edge, energy and resource constraints of edge nodes may lead to poor performance. Therefore, it is widely recognized that offloading certain tasks to cloud data centers (CDCs), which possess abundant execution resources, is advantageous. However, implementing CDCs is not widespread and lacks flexibility in isolated regions. This presents challenges and high costs for reliably completing tasks quickly. Consequently, employing more adaptable unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) as CDCs in specific scenarios is crucial. The work presents the idea of mobile edge computing supported by the UAV. By considering the needs of user services, we enhance the energy efficiency of the UAV by optimizing their trajectories, transmission power, and computational load distribution. Furthermore, the work introduces an improved algorithm called GeneticSimulated-annealing-based Particle Swarm Optimizer (GSPSO) to optimize the energy efficiency of the UAV. Experimental simulations show that regarding the energy efficiency of the UAV, GSPSO exhibits superior search efficiency, surpassing genetic algorithm, simulated annealing, and particle swarm optimization by 7.39%, 15.03%, and 27.93%, respectively.

Cognitive diagnostic computerized adaptive testing (CD-CAT) is a cutting-edge testing approach in educational environments. It combines the merits of computerized adaptive testing (CAT) and cognitive diagnosis models (CDMs), allowing for adaptive testing methods to be applied to fine-grained diagnosis. Two crucial factors in CD-CAT item selection are diagnostic accuracy and item bank utilization. Previous research focused either solely on enhancing diagnostic performance or on achieving a balance between bank utilization and diagnostic accuracy, often at the significant expense of the latter. To strike a more effective equilibrium between diagnostic performance and bank utilization, the current study proposes a forwardlooking item selection strategy for CD-CAT, named lookingahead Shannon entropy (LASE). LASE shifts the focus from the immediate next item to a broader perspective, considering sequences of multiple items ahead, thereby offering a longer-term view in item selection. This strategy involves a branch searching scheme to find appropriate multi-item sequences and introduces the LASE metric for evaluating these sequences. The parameter within the LASE method are investigated. simulation studies based on two item banks are conducted to demonstrate LASE’s effectiveness compared to existing methods. The results show that LASE offers a more balanced item selection for CD-CAT in terms of diagnostic accuracy and bank utilization.

In recent years, big data and cloud computing have emerged as prominent buzzwords in the realm of information technology. The evolution and advancement of data technology are intricately linked to database development, with each novel data technology posing fresh demands on database construction. The establishment of a cloud computing big data platform encompasses various components such as the overall big data architecture, analysis platform software architecture, platform network architecture, and a unified approach to big data platform construction. This study delves into the online interactive data model that leverages cloud computing and big data, highlighting the benefits of their integration into online interactive platforms. It aims to offer valuable insights for professionals in this domain. Drawing from the principles and technologies of cloud computing, as well as the challenges posed by big data in government statistics, this paper outlines the fundamental structure of a statistical cloud. It further elaborates on the architecture, functional modules, and operational workflow of a government statistics platform rooted in cloud computing. To fulfill these functionalities, a comprehensive framework for the platform is designed, encompassing the acquisition, processing, storage, analysis, and secure dissemination of accounting big data. The incorporation of big data theory in the data acquisition phase aims to gather all pertinent accounting big data, both internal and external to the enterprise that can inform business decisions. This ensures enhanced relevance in the quality of accounting information. Leveraging cutting-edge front-end information technology, namely cloud computing, this paper advocates for the development of a more efficient accounting big data analysis platform.

This paper investigates smoke movement and its stratification in a lay-by of a 900 m long road tunnel by computer simulation using Fire Dynamics Simulator. The lay-by is located upstream of the fire in its vicinity. The influence of lay-by geometry on smoke spread is evaluated by comparison with a fictional tunnel without lay-by. Several fire scenarios with various tunnel slopes and heat release rates of fire in the tunnels without and with the lay-by are considered. The most significant breaking of smoke stratification and decrease of visibility in the area of the lay-by can be observed in the case of zero slope tunnel for more intensive fires with significant length of backlayering. Several other features of smoke spread in the lay-by are analysed as well. The parallel calculations were performed on a high-performance computer cluster. © 2021 Institute of Physics Publishing. simulation-based approach provides a very powerful, rich, and versatile paradigm for many disciplines, methodologies, and studies. Already over 170 disciplines, methodologies, and approaches are simulation-based. The article clarifies the essence and power of simulation-based approach. To reach this aim the following is done: First, as a basis, the essence of simulation which consists of experimentation and experience is covered. The historic rise of the experimentation in early 17th century as a basis of scientific method as well as the additional benefits of simulated experiments are covered. The unique advantages of coupling simulation and the working of real systems are explained. Possibilities offered by simulation to gain three types of experience are clarified. A brief history of model-based approach as well as the first discipline for which model-based approach was promoted are explained. Richness and versatility of simulation and benefits of its use are detailed. The power gained by first and higher-order synergies of simulation with several other disciplines such as system theories, systems engineering, computers, software engineering, software agents, and reliability are mentioned. The already achieved shift of paradigm from model-based to simulation-based is strongly endorsed. © Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2021.

The article introduces a novel approach to foster collaborative aerial 3D printing by leveraging the dexterous flexibility of multiple UAVs working in tandem towards autonomous construction. This cooperative operation effectively overcomes payload limitations through synchronized deployment. Nevertheless, the transformation of UAVs into aerial construction agents poses a pivotal challenge, demanding efficient coordination of task planning and effective execution among multiple collaboratively working UAVs. In pursuit of addressing this challenge, the proposed innovative framework introduces a novel chunk-decomposition strategy supported by a reactive task assignment mechanism, dynamically allocating additive manufacturing tasks based on a dependency graph derived from decomposed chunks. Furthermore, the framework promotes parallelization by minimizing interdependencies thereby reducing the overall makespan. It also incorporates conflict resolution among UAVs during the assignment process by employing probabilistic fitness scores and penalizing the probability of conflicts. Conflicts that emerge during printing execution are addressed in a decentralized manner through trajectory sharing among UAVs. This entails dynamically determining one UAV suspending its movement until conflicts are resolved. The proposed framework's effectiveness is evaluated through a GAZEBO-based simulation setup, showcasing its potential in deploying multiple UAVs for the simultaneous printing of large-scale 3D structures. - Video overview: https://***/bLnzcLrD1NA

This paper presents a heterogeneous computing method to accelerate the wireless channel simulation. In this method, the calculation of channel coefficient is divided into several arrays and processed by the CPU(Central Processing Unit) and GPU(Graphics Processing Unit) respectively. Meanwhile, the performance of the method presented above is analyzed. The results show that the calculation time is reduced by 1 to 2 orders compared to the traditional CPU-based method. It is worth mentioning that CUDA (Compute Unified Device Architecture) is chosen as the computing architecture.

As a recently proposed network architecture, the computing power network (CPN) combines the ability of end, edge, cloud computing, and transmission network to realize the flexible and efficient scheduling and transaction of ubiquitous multi-resources, such as computing, cache, communications, and intelligent models. However, in CPN, multi-resources are deployed in a distributed manner. So, efficient, reliable and distributed resource transaction solutions are sought. Therefore, in this paper, we propose a non-fungible token (NFT)-based resource transaction scheme for CPN. We use NFT to tokenize and describe multi-resources by metadata to enable applications to network multi-resources efficiently and ensure transaction se-curity. Also, we formulate the trading utility of sellers and buyers and present a trusted trading process. To improve the system efficiency by increasing the matching success rate and simplify the complexity of combinatorial resources matching, we design the decision and pricing policy by distributed double auction mechanism. simulation results demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed scheme.

This paper has proposed a car game using the algorithm Deep Q-Learning for simulation of self-driving autonomous car. It creates an environment where the self-driving car moves in left right up down direction starting from source to destination. Q-Learning is a RL algorithm which is an of f-policy algorithm that is completely different from a Deep Q-Learning as it replaces a normal Q table with neural network. It maps neural network with input states as their actions and Q values. This Game is reward based where agent gets the reward when it reaches the destination and does not hit any obstacles else it gets penalty which is then kept as an experience for future plays.

Visual navigation, a foundational aspect of Embodied AI (E-AI) and robotics has been extensively studied in the past few years. While many 3D simulators have been introduced for the visual navigation tasks, scarcely works have combined human dynamics, creating the gap between simulation and real-world applications. Furthermore, current 3D simulators incorporating human dynamics have several limitations, particularly in terms of computational efficiency, which is a promise of modern simulators. To overcome these issues, we introduce HabiCrowd, the new standard benchmark for crowd-aware visual navigation that includes a crowd dynamics model with diverse human settings into photorealistic environments. Empirical evaluations demonstrate that our proposed human dynamics model achieves state-of-the-art performance in collision avoidance while exhibiting superior computational efficiency compared to its counterparts. We leverage HabiCrowd to conduct several comprehensive studies on crowd-aware visual navigation tasks and human-robot interactions. The source code and data can be found at https://***/.
