One of the most used components in the industry is the DC motor and its utilization has been constantly increasing for the relative simplicity of how it can be controlled. These are typically supplemented with PID controllers with the capability for error modeling. With the variety of means to tune DC motors, there has also been a general issue regarding stability and performance as it varies from one application to another. The general objective of the research is to model a DC motor using the the Ziegler-Nichols method of PID controller tuning along with a manual method of fine-tuning with the specific requirements set for an overshoot of at most, 5%, a rise time that is less than 0.01 seconds, and the settling time did not exceed 1.5 seconds. For this specific application, the study shows that among the control types classic, some overshoot, and no overshoot, some overshoot exhibited the best response; but overall, none had been able to satisfy the requirements. With this, manual fine-tuning was conducted to hit those required parameters. simulation results of the PID control of the DC motor with gears showed that the measured values of the system were able to meet the objectives in terms of achieving the behavior of the system that is expected after fine-tuning it manually from Ziegler-Nichols. The results obtained from the simulation had a rise time, settling time, and overshoot of 0.0989, 1.2491, and 4.8104 respectively.

The article examines tower-columns for the drinking water supply of the rural population, proposes methods of their automation, which consists in automatically regulating the performance of pumps by applying the principles of controlling electric drives. The existing automated systems were analyzed and the one proposed in the form of a structural diagram was synthesized, where the main control circuit for regulation is the pressure in the pipeline. The main parameters and transfer functions of the components of the automatic system were mathematically calculated. Based on the above calculations, a simulation model was designed and built in a specialized software complex. By means of modeling and simulation of the process, the transient characteristics are determined and the main quality indicators are determined.

Memristor devices are promising in terms of speeding up and improving the power efficiency of deep learning systems. Crossbar architectures built using memristors can be used to efficiently implement various in-memory computational operations such as multiply-accumulate and convolution, which are widely used in deep and convolutional neural networks. The modeling of image processing by neural networks built on the basis of memristor crossbars is performed. The influence of memristor crossbar defects on the quality of image recognition is studied. The proportions of defective memristors for which memristor neural networks are able to correctly classify images are determined. Dependences of the performance of memristor neural networks on their architectures are revealed: the more layers in the network, the stronger the influence of defects in memristors on the network performance. The time of software simulation of a memristor crossbar operation is estimated. The high resistance of memristor crossbars to defects with a large size of crossbars is noted. It has been established that various models of memristors, both linear and non-linear, behave almost identically within convolutional neural networks.
