Affective interaction with virtual humans can enhance the quality of user experience in virtual reality. It takes place through various considerations such as emotional representation in their behavioral patterns, facial expressions, head pose, body stance, and so on. Deciding on the emotional state of a virtual human at a moment, however, is still a challenge. Computational models of emotion, stemming from appraisal theories, are suggested for modeling emotion in virtual agents. Despite their competence in extracting emotion from appraisal values, they are poorly defined in describing how to assess appraisal values within a sense-think-act behavior model. Motivated by this lack of empirical knowledge on the appraisal stage, in this preliminary work, we propose a framework to bridge the gap between a computational model of emotion and a behavior model of virtual humans. To this end, we use a need-based, goal- oriented, autonomous behavior model to generate salient stimuli for eliciting emotions. Our simulation of a case study suggests that the proposed framework can produce sensible emotional states that conform to the essential principles of appraisal-based emotion theories.

Health has recently faced many challenges, including improving a healthy environment and reducing human life's dangers and economic crises. The last pandemic COVID-19 had badly affected survivor sectors with infection and lockdown exigence. Scientists proposed several solutions to reduce the negative impact of a such pandemic by proposing systems for earlier detection of viruses. The use of metamaterials as an emerging technology in the biosensors field allows a high accuracy. This paper presents a method for detecting and capturing airborne viruses using metasurface technology. The goal is to develop a system that can identify and capture these viruses using FET sensors. The accuracy of the detection is tied to the concentration of aerosols. The model proposes a guided flow of aerosols that positively impacts the detection of viruses through the FET biosensor. The simulation results based on Concentration and airflow velocity delays prove the proposed model's performance.

With the continuous development of computer technology, the problem of network security has become increasingly prominent. Traditional cryptography methods can hardly guarantee the security of personal information, property and privacy. In order to evaluate and study machine learning algorithms and make them more convenient and less costly in real life, it has become a very important topic in the current computer field. This paper first introduces the machine learning algorithm and cryptography, and the current research status at home and abroad. Secondly, it proposes intrusion detection system based on random space model, artificial neural network method and other defense strategies. Finally, a machine learning algorithm that uses clustering analysis to classify and store different kinds of feature information and realize multidimensional identity recognition is given, and MATLAB is used in the computer network security attack early warning simulation experiment. Finally, the experimental results show that the multi-dimensional detection and evaluation system performs well in the accuracy and time of malware detection, and the false detection rate is very low. This shows that the performance of the system can meet the needs of users.

It is crucial to integrate renewable sources of power like solar, batteries, and wind into the grid architecture since the grid supplies is unstable and the price of power is rising. People are more interested in micro-grid innovation because it can lower overall costs while increasing operational efficiency and functional productivity. With the aid of ETAP programming, the most thorough analytical platform for the modeling and development of power systems, the reconstruction was accomplished under a variety of conditions. To conduct simulation for various cases in conjunction with the model in ETAP program, a Micro-Grid system based on IEEE 9 bus architecture that includes a diesel engine, solar PV arrays, energy storage device, windmill, and battery bank has been constructed for further examination.

In this paper we compare the simulation results of two types of 1 infinite capacity queues with the implemented threshold-based renovation mechanism. As usual renovation implies probabilistic dropping of customers from the queue upon service completions. In the systems of the first type there is the threshold value (indication the queue length) which controls the activation of the renovation mechanism. In the systems of the second type the threshold value not only triggers the renovation, but also specifies the area in the queue wherefrom the customers cannot be dropped. For both types of systems the main stationary characteristics are obtained. Numerical results are also provided, which illustrate the performance of the queues for different sets of simulation parametres. The Prelude Floating Liquefied Natural Gas (FLNG) platform is designed to offload liquefied natural and petroleum gas products to carrier vessels moored in a Side-by-Side (SBS) configuration. Prior to the mooring operation, the carrier vessel is escorted and held alongside the FLNG with the assistance of tugs connected to her bow and stern to ensure sufficient control over the vessel in this critical phase. In order to better understand the impact of environmental conditions, to determine the optimum length, strength, material and configuration of the towline stretcher, and to estimate the maximum operable environments, coupled multi-body simulations have been performed in time domain The numerical model, which considered both the LNG carrier and the forward tug, was calibrated using full-scale measurements of tug motions and tow line tension recorded during a real approach and berthing manoeuvre at Prelude FLNG. The measured environment effects were generated numerically and the model parameters were adjusted to reproduce the recorded behavior as accurately as possible. Since actions of the tug master are difficult to model numerically and only the statistical environment parameters are known, a simplified approach has been adopted for modelling the tug propulsion and steering using a combination of static forces, stiffness and linear and quadratic damping for relevant horizontal degrees of freedom. The calibrated numerical model was first subjected to several sensitivity assessments of the modelling level (single- or multibody, inclusion of second-order wave loads, inclusion of forward speed). Then sensitivity studies were performed to help address operational requirements related to the wave height and direction, and the stretcher length and strength. The conclusions have been taken into consideration for the selection of the tow line configurations for future operations. With the development of computer technology, people are increasingly aware of information security and pay more and more attention to information management. Cloud computing as a new service model appears in our life. By transforming traditional physical resources into virtualized data, it is widely used in various fields because of its large storage capacity and easy operation. This paper mainly studies the establishment of an office automation management system with automatic identification function and password protection function based on docker system. Firstly, this paper introduces the composition of cloud computing cryptographic application system, then deeply studies docker technology, designs cloud computing application system, and carries out simulation experiments. The experimental results show that under the optimization of docker technology, the error rate of the cloud computing password application system is very low, and the time to process password data is also less, which comprehensively shows that the security of the cloud computing password application system is very high.

A single study has addressed actuator failure reconstruction for the One-sided Lipschitz (OSL) family of nonlinear systems. The predicted fault vector in that work does not provide any insight into the underlying problematic physical characteristics of the system, which is a significant shortcoming. In this work, we offer a way for estimating the incorrect physical parameters of actuators using an adaptive observer strategy. To demonstrate the utility of the suggested method, a numerical example and simulation research are provided.

Three-Dimensional Printing (3DP) forming technology has the advantages of rapid forming speed, wide range of printing materials, unlimited printing shape and no need for supporting materials. In this paper, the Discrete Element Method (DEM) is used to simulate the powder spreading process of Inconel 625. The influence of powder particle shape, powder ratio, roller size and roller horizontal speed on powder spreading is simulated. The results show that the horizontal velocity of powder laying roller and the shape of powder particles have great influence on the accuracy of powder spreading. The influence of powder characteristics on the forming quality is studied. It is found that if the particle size of powder is smaller, the fluidity will be lower, and the forming quality will be better;if the particle size of powder is larger, the fluidity will be better, but the precision of the part will be reduced. The results provide a theoretical basis for the preparation of Inconel 625 by using 3DP process. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

Physical Ising machines have been shown to solve combinatoric optimization problems with orders-of-magnitude improvements in speed and energy efficiency over v on Neumann systems. However, building such a system is still in its infancy and a scalable, robust implementation remains challenging. CMOS- compatible electronic Ising machines (e.g., [1]) are promising as the mature technology helps bring scale, speed, and energy efficiency to the dynamical system. However, subtle issues can arise when using voltage-controlled transistors to act as programmable resistive coupling. In this paper, we propose a version of resistively-coupled Ising machine using quantized nodal interactions (QuBRIM), which significantly improved the predictability of the coupling resistor. The functionality of QuBRIM is demonstrated by solving the well-known Max-Cut problem using both behavioral and circuit level simulations in 45 nm CMOS technology node. We show that the dynamical system naturally seeks local minima in the objective function's energy landscape and that by applying spin-fix annealing, the system reaches a global minimum with a high probability.
