Autonomous driving is a core application that greatly benefits from Internet of Vehicles (IoV). The calculation of the precise positions of Connected Autonomous Vehicles (CAVs) is mainly done using a Deep Neural Network (DNN) which requires significant computing power. Therefore, reducing the computational overhead and improving the efficiency are urgent problems to be solved. In this paper, we first propose a CAV cooperative learning architecture based on blockchain to improve the positioning accuracy of vehicles. Then, we introduce an error precision sharing model between CAVs. The proposed framework enables CAVs to train vehicle positioning accuracy models locally and exchange them via a blockchain network. Such a distributed training architecture further reduces the computing power required. Extensive simulation results show that the proposed scheme can also significantly improve the accuracy of the trajectory error compared to existing approaches.

Home automation has drawn a massive attention from last few decades. The benefit of any home automation system is to diminish the hard effort, timings, and errors that generally take place due to inattention of individual. On the other hand, IoT is an infrastructure of numerous linked objects that is extensively used in HAS. Nowadays, the technology has been widened extremely and various applications like the smart home, smart phone, smart city, smart watch, smart shop, etc., have become obligatory applications for every person. As the inhabitation is mounting day by day, there is a big necessity to safeguard the energy and expenditure in every way possible. To save the energy and time, an access mechanism has to be build to control the smart appliances or any home application from inaccessible location. Mobile ad hoc network (MANET) is a subset of computer wireless networks and in its simplest form is the collection of mobile stations connected with each other by radio links to form a network. MANET is a self-configured, self-organized network where the movement of the mobile stations is random during the network. The positions of the nodes are unpredictable and have direct impact over network efficiency and its performance. For MANET network monitoring, we need to trace the motion of the node, and for controlling, we need to decide the optimal node movement. The focus for this paper is the study of three-way solutions of modeling node movement in MANET such as movement via trajectories, facilities for random mobility, and movement via programming interface. This study is followed by routing protocols performance analysis. Three routing protocols DSR, AODV, and OLSR are compared with segment-based trajectory as node movement model. OPNET is the simulation tool use, and the performances of the three routing protocols are analyzed based on the network metrics: throughput, end-to-end delay, and network load. The comparison analysis will be carried out, and at last, the conclusion will be presented. © Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd 2021.

Due to the positive influence on students’ learning outcomes, the interests of studying effective knowledge management has been risen recently. Developing and implementing effective strategies ensures to promote learning outcomes. By reviewing and examining various influence factors, this research study has predicted the major factors that may influence of learning outcomes in blended learning environment. A series of simulation experiments and factor analyses have been conducted in order to investigate collaboration during group learning process. The simulation model for blended learning environment employed in this research has drawn on the characteristics of the Structural Equation Model (SEM) of the blended learning process of 128 students. Both randomness of those student learning behaviors and the reaction to information overload have been considered during simulation modeling. The simulation model enables for greatly increasing statistical samples of student learning behavior analysis. Besides, this research has studied the impact of multiple factors to blended learning mode, these factors include: the size of learning group, the group composition according to previous performance, teaching material amount, and the teacher influence. Experimental results predict that the factors mentioned above can enhance collaborative interaction among students during writing and reading activity. The research results of the optimization restriction factors for blended learning environment achieved in this study can be useful reference for a teacher who are facing the similar challenges. The results of this paper can also be used to reveal and eliminate the problem of inefficient collaboration and poor student performance in blended learning environment. Neural machine translation (NMT) is a state-of-the-art technique in the task of machine translation (MT), where a source-language text is converted into a target language text while preserving its meaning. NMT attracts attention because it handles sequence to sequence learning problems for variable-length source and target sentences. With the attention mechanism, the NMT system performs well in the context-analyzing ability. But it needs sufficient parallel training corpus, which is a challenge in low resource language scenario. To overcome the bar of a handy parallel corpus, there is an increase in demand for direct translation among similar language pairs. This paper investigates the NMT system for direct translation of low resource similar language pair: Assamese–Bengali. The main contribution of this work is Assamese–Bengali parallel corpus. The NMT system has achieved a bilingual evaluation understudy (BLEU) score of 7.20 for Assamese to Bengali translation and BLEU score 10.10 for Bengali to Assamese translation, respectively. © 2021, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.

Aortic valve insufficiency is a life-threatening condition. The primary treatment approach is the replacement of the native valve with prosthetic valves in severe cases. However, current prostheses often lead to complications such as durability issues, the need for lifelong anticoagulation medicine usage, and tissue rejection. As a result, multiple surgical interventions are frequently required for prosthesis replacement. This study highlights the importance of a comprehensive prosthetic design process by encompassing patient-specific design, careful material selection, and advanced three-dimensional fabrication, which is essential for addressing these challenges. To enhance the mechanical durability of polymeric heart valve prostheses, we introduce a framework that combines fluid-structure interaction (FSI) simulations to obtain hemodynamic properties prior to advanced structural analyses. While our methodology is based on determining hemodynamic loads with FSI simulations and transferring them to an additional finite element model (FEM) that captures the detailed mechanical properties of valve tissue, the results presented in this study are obtained using more traditional loading conditions in FEM to ensure the validity and comparability of our findings. These results serve as a foundation for future studies incorporating full FSI-driven structural simulations. These analyses lead to the creation of a geometrically optimized design, fabricated with a digital light processing-based (DLP) method. Subsequently, mechanical testing was conducted to evaluate the effects of this manufacturing technique on material behavior, producing more realistic material model coefficients for use in numerical simulations. Consequently, different ratios of material rigidity in fiber-reinforced models are investigated with FEM analysis. Cyber-Physical Power System (CPPS) is one of the most critical infrastructure systems due to deep integration between power grids and communication networks. In the power system, cascading failure is spreading more readily in CPPS, even leading to blackouts as well as there are new difficulties with the power system security simulation and faults brought by physical harm or network intrusions. The current study summarized the cross- integration of several fields such as computer and cyberspace security in terms of the robustness of Cyber-Physical Systems, viewed as Interconnected and secure network systems. Therefore, the security events that significantly influenced the power system were evaluated in this study, besides the challenges and future directions of power system security simulation technologies were investigated for posing both challenges and opportunities for simulation techniques of power system security like building a new power system to accelerate the transformation of the existing energy system to a clean, low-carbon, safe, and efficient energy system which is used to assure power system stability through fusion systems that combine the cyber-physical to integrate the battery power station, power generation and renewable energy resources through the internet with the cyber system that contains Smart energy system control and attacks.

The phenomenon of nonlinearity of the ADC conversion function leads to the errors of different signal parameters as complex spectrum, reactive power, apparent power, active power, root mean square. In case of calculating of the signal parameters measurement error, it is necessary to take into account the ADC nonlinearity, since there are no simple procedures for its elimination that can be used in commercial devices. The paper considers a technique of describing of the nonlinearity of ADC transfer function by applying Chebyshev polynomials. This approach allows to effectively approximate the ADC nonlinearity and obtain an estimate of the error of such parameters as root mean square, amplitude spectrum, apparent power, reactive power and active power. Analytical expressions are obtained for each of the measured parameters, that make possible to calculate of the error estimate. The impact of the ADC nonlinearity form to the error estimation is considered. Conditions are obtained under which the measurement errors of the signal parameters take on the maximum values. A technique has been developed for the measurement error estimation of power parameters and spectrum when the case of typical shape of ADC nonlinearity and nonlinear parameters are known (dynamic parameters, differential nonlinearity – DNL, integral nonlinearity – INL). The obtained mathematical dependences are verified by comparing the simulation results and results of mathematical relations at special test points.

Cloud computing has been built on the advancement of distributed computing and virtualization concept for offering effortless accessibility of the resources from various sources. Infectious disease transmission research is usually suffered from complex interactions and large number of calculations. As one of main means of this research, simulation can be efficient by adopting distributed architectures. However, most existing distributed simulation architectures rely on gateway or backbone to achieve efficient global management, which inherently generate a communication bottleneck when scale expanded. This paper proposes a pure distributed architecture for these simulations by a shared memory system, reflective memory network. Based on reflective memory and local memory, this paper designed a distributed dynamic memory management method. And Data Management, Federation Management, and simulation Management three essential functions of the simulation are all settled well by this method.
