In the paper, a mathematical model for the description of the stress-strain state of mustard seeds during drying in the gas-suspended state under the pulsed action of the drying agent is constructed. Based on the obtained solutions of the problem, computer simulation of the stress-strain state of mustard seeds at an arbitrary time moment of drying has been performed to provide the maximally permissible parameters of drying mustard as seeding. As a result, the graphs of time distributions of displacements, deformations, and stresses in the structural elements of the grain of mustard have been constructed for the drying regime in the gas-suspended state under the pulsed action of the drying agent. © 2020 IEEE.

Brain computer interface (BCI)-based virtual environment control has found broad applications in solving and pursuing factual healthcare issues concerning efficiency, safety, and costs. In this technical paper, an unmanned ground vehicle (UGV) robot with a simulator-equipped BCI system was utilized. The Gazebo simulator was employed to develop a simulated setting. The software CitySim World allowed rendering the simulated milieu more down-to-earth. A non-invasive electroencephalogram (EEG)-based BCI was used to follow the brain signals and extract the P300 component, a kind of simultaneous BCI controlling procedure for safe, fast, and inexpensive implementation. This UGV control system using human brain activity can be beneficial for the real UGV platform control. It enables the discovery of the probable errors in the physical implementation. All the steps implementing our BCI system were appropriately provided (data acquisition system, user interface design, BCI data architecture, ROS/ robot Jackal, and implementation and tests). Furthermore, the project implementation and some solutions to possible issues were posed. The project outcomes were assessed by employing BCI in a simulation; before implementing real-time, to determine errors and resolve the validity of the project scope.

This paper suggests a computer model for prediction about the occurrence of an armed conflict between two countries or two organizations based on the Richardson's arms race mathematical model. The Richardson model was the first application of dynamic modeling in the field of international relations. Richardson used his model to describe the arms race between Austria-Hungary and Germany on the one hand, and Russia and France on the other, in the period of 1909-1913. This simulated computer model which based on the Richardson's arms race mathematical model allows not only to predict the outcome of the arms race, but also allows the user to apply the model for analyzing of how to reduce the probability of war. Three examples and two exercises are presented in the paper to get more clear understanding on how our implemented program works. The aim of the work is to show the possibility of armed conflicts using practical application of computer simulation based on the Richardson approach.

Metamorphic testing (MT) has been growing in pop-ularity, but it can still be quite challenging and time-consuming to assess its performance. Typical approaches to performance assessment can require a series of steps, and depend on a variety of factors, often requiring serendipity. This can be a bottleneck for some aspects of MT research. Central to MT, metamorphic relations (MRs) represent necessary properties of the system under test (SUT). In traditional software testing, simulations are often employed to examine and compare the performance of dif-ferent testing strategies. However, these simulations are typically designed based on the assumed availability (and applicability) of a test oracle - a mechanism to decide the correctness of the SUT output or behaviour. A key reason for the popularity of MT is its proven record of effective software testing, without the need for a test oracle. This strength, however, also means that traditional ways of using simulations to analyse software testing approaches are not applicable for MT. This lack of cheap and fast ways to conduct simulation analyses of MT is a hurdle for many aspects of MT research, and may be an obstacle to its more widespread adoption. To address this, in this paper we introduce the concept of MR-violation regions (MRVRs), and show how they can be used for a certain category of MRs, Deterministic MRs (DMRs), to build simulation tools for MT. We analyse the differences between MRVRs and traditional, oracle-defined failure regions; and report on a preliminary case study exploring MRVRs in numerical-input-domain systems from previous MT studies. We anticipate that the proposed MT simulation framework may facilitate more research into MT, and may help lead to its more widespread adoption.

It has been proven that simulation systems can improve design efficiency by 20% with quality workflow management tools, and capital cost savings of up to 30% can be achieved with the right materials for security design. Currently, there are various software and hardware tools for computer modeling of technological objects, selection of technological modes and adjustment of control loops. These tools include Unisim. Unisim is a unique software package from Honeywell that combines a variety of products, including an extensive list of components and thermodynamic properties packages, used to simulate complex process systems.

In recent years, public gathering places in big cities at home and abroad are facing severe security situation due to frequent emergencies. Emergency management is an important part of the national governance system and governance capabilities. It is of great practical significance to study the emergency evacuation of crowds under emergencies. In this paper, the dynamic field model of cellular automata is improved. The genetic factors in the previous dynamic field are improved into emotional dynamic field. A new cellular automata model based on emotional infection is established. The validity of the model was verified by simulation. On this basis, a supermarket in Tangshan was selected as a crowd emergency evacuation simulation scene. Through the simulation study of crowd emergency evacuation in this supermarket, the factors affecting crowd evacuation in emergency situations were analyzed and provided for relevant departments to formulate evacuation strategies in emergencies.

China is one of the countries with the most serious earthquake disasters in the world. In the past, due to the relatively small number of underground structures and the main earthquake disasters are above ground structures, the seismic damage and anti-seismic problems of underground structures have not attracted enough attention, and the function of seismic load has not been explored too much in the design of underground structures. However, in several major earthquakes in recent decades, the huge damage suffered by underground structures, casualties and economic losses have attracted people's attention to the seismic problem of underground structures all over the world. The seismic analysis methods on computer architecture of 2D model of underground structures at home and abroad are generally divided into analytical method, numerical method, simulation test and simplified analysis method. The use of large-scale finite element or finite difference program can truly simulate the seismic response and dynamic characteristics of underground structures under earthquake, and can also better simulate the whole process of elastic to elastic-plastic failure of underground structures. In this paper, the complex artificial intelligence damping machine method are mainly used to calculate and analysis the underground double cabin pipe gallery. The extraction results of different calculation methods are compared, and the response displacement method is found.

Aiming at the problem that the traditional non-return-to-zero code in the high-performance network seriously influences the channel attenuation and high bit error rate in the backplane high-speed communication, this paper proposes an adaptive equalizer based on 56Gb/s Duo-Binary as an alternative to PAM4. The Duo-Binary signal is generated by utilizing the channel loss to improve the channel transmission bandwidth, which reduces the complexity of subsequent equalization processing. To solve the problems of complex traditional blind adaptive algorithm and low equalization intensity, the transmitter adopts forward feedback equalization, and the receiver adopts two-stage CTLE and 2-tap half-rate DFE for adaptive equalization. Adaptive equalization uses the least mean square algorithm to adjust the CTLE control signal and DFE tap coefficients. The overall performance of the system is verified by AMS simulation in Cadence IC. Under the 28nm TSMC process, the 56Gb/s Duo-Binary signal can compensate for the channel loss of more than 35dB, and the bit error rate is less than 4e-12 using PRBS7.

Vehicular ad-hoc networks (VANETs) play a vital role in next-generation wireless communication. It consists of a set of moving vehicles, stationary vehicles, and roadside units (RSUs) that are connected through a wireless network. However, security and privacy issues are always challenging in VANETs as they lead to attacks. One such attack is the detection of the Sybil attack. This attack makes use of a vehicle or node to create multiple fake identities, at a time, to take advantage of a particular network. This attack leads to traffic congestion, rerouting, and accident. Many researchers have proposed solutions to identify the Sybil attack. Recently, Ayaida et al. [1] have presented an approach to detect the Sybil attack based on a macroscopic traffic flow model. This approach calculates the estimated speed and real speed, and their difference. If the difference is more than a predetermined threshold, then it suspects an attack and sends a message to nearby vehicles. This paper modifies their approach to provide a better solution by estimating the speed of vehicles and by RSU, thereby averaging their speed. The proposed approach is simulated using network simulator (ns) 3 and simulation of urban mobility (SUMO) to show its effectiveness.
