Biometric security is the fastest growing area that receives considerable attention over the past few years. Digital hiding and encryption technologies provide an effective solution to secure biometric information from intentional or accidental attacks. Visual cryptography is the approach utilized for encrypting the information which is in the form of visual information for example images. Meanwhile, the biometric template stored in the databases are generally in the form of images, the visual cryptography could be employed effectively for encrypting the template from the attack. This study develops a share creation with improved encryption process for secure biometric verification (SCIEP-SBV) technique. The presented SCIEP-SBV technique majorly aims to attain security via encryption and share creation (SC) procedure. Firstly, the biometric images undergo SC process to produce several shares. For encryption process, homomorphic encryption (HE) technique is utilized in this work. To further improve the secrecy, an improved bald eagle search (IBES) approach was exploited in this work. The simulation values of the SCIEP-SBV system are tested on biometric images. The extensive comparison study demonstrated the improved outcomes of the SCIEP-SBV technique over compared methods.

Cloud computing (CC) is the demonstration of the technology that makes use of the substructure for computing in a proficient fashion. This sort of computing offers great quantity of consequences in augmenting the productivity that verifies the risk handling management and decreases the cost. Intrusion detection system (IDS) is widely applied for detecting malicious actions in its host and the communication network. IDS is a procedure of discovering activities that take place in a network and attempts to fulfill the confidentiality, network, or security accessibility to smear the trust procedure. This article introduces an Effective Intrusion Detection and Classification using Fuzzy Rule based Classifier (EIDC-FRC) model in Cloud Environment. The goal of the presented EIDC-FRC model is to determine the occurrence of intrusions and normal data traffic in the cloud environment. In order to achieve this, the presented EIDC-FRC model applies FRC for data classification process. The parameter tuning of the FRC model is performed using enhanced bird swarm algorithm (EBSA). The FRC is an effective model in pattern recognition that offers effective outcomes by the use of linguistic labels in the antecedents of the rules. The simulation analysis of the EIDC-FRC model ensured the enhancements of the presented approach compared to recent state of art approaches.

In recent years social media platforms have experienced increasing attention of researchers due to their capabilities of providing information and spreading opinions of individuals, thus establishing a new environment for opinion formation on a societal level. To gain a better understanding of the occurring opinion dynamics, the interactions between the users and the content that has been shared in those environments has to be investigated. With our work, we want to shed light on the part played by the underlying network structure as information spread relies directly on it and every user of social media is affected by it. Therefore, we analyzed the role of network properties and dealing with friendships in such networks using an agent-based model. Our results reveal the capability of such models for investigating the influence of these factors on opinion dynamics and encourage further investigation in this field of research.

As Moore's Law has slowed and Dennard Scaling has ended, architects are increasingly turning to heterogeneous parallelism and hardware-software co-design. These trends present new challenges for simulation-based performance assessments that are central to early-stage architectural exploration. Simulators must be lightweight to support heterogeneous combinations of general-purpose cores and specialized processing units. They must also support agile exploration of hardware-software co-design, i.e. changes in the programming model, compiler, ISA, and specialized hardware. To meet these challenges, we describe our compiler and simulator pair: DEC++ and MosaicSim. Together, they provide a lightweight, modular simulator for heterogeneous systems, offering accuracy and agility designed specifically for hardware-software co-design explorations. The simulator and corresponding compiler were developed as part of the DECADES project, a multi-team effort to design and tape out a new heterogeneous architecture. We will present two case-studies in important data-science applications where DEC++ and MosaicSim enable straightforward design space explorations for emerging full-stack systems.

As vehicular communications (V2X) become increasingly widespread, the study of technologies capable of supporting advanced applications, like Collective Perception (CP), gains more and more significance. Architectural improvements and new features of 5G cellular networks, including Mobile Edge Computing (MEC), seem to be viable to build upon, so much in general V2X use-cases as in ones based on CP. Our contribution to the study of this field is to provide an operable extension to the well-known V2X simulation framework called Artery, where implementations of 5G elements provided by the Simu5G library can be utilized in the simulations.

The Port-Based system modeling is applied and becomes an attractive topic in the field of control engineering. Due to its energy based concept, it can model physical systems in an effective and systematic manner, e.g. Port-Controlled Hamiltonian approach. However different model structures can be obtained, if the system contains switching devices, e.g. voltage source converter. This paper presents two approaches for converter modeling and their effect on the system behavior, when the controller is designed by the IDA-PBC concept. The simulation results show that the responses of the closed loop system hardly depend on the structure of converter model, even the obtained controllers are different. Especially when the systems operate around the operating point. © 2020 IEEE.

At present, landscape design teaching in design art education has received much attention. With the continuous development of social economy, science and technology and information network technology, traditional landscape design has also achieved a 'quality' leap. The appropriate use of computer-aided software in landscape design has become an essential skill for landscape designers. computer-aided software is like a pen in your hand, a tool that shows the designer's ideas and thinking. How to make students master computer-aided design software and use it reasonably in landscape design is a problem that current landscape design teachers need to think about and study. The existing CAD software for garden landscapes has limited expression of 3D models and virtual simulation effects, and can only be used for 2D construction drawing. In order to solve the dynamic landscape characteristics, a three-dimensional landscape design simulation system of virtual reality technology was developed. Object-oriented parametric 3D solid modeling method was used to realize 3D solid modeling, 3D real-time virtual rendering of design scenes, renderings and animations. Production, construction drawing and other functions, and explored the system computing principles, implementation methods and OpenGL extensions and other related technologies. Then the overall function of the system is briefly introduced, and the simulation process in the professional module is discussed in detail. Finally, the effectiveness of the system is verified by an engineering example. © 2020 IEEE.

In this work, the scientific and practical problem of increase of strength reliability of cast pistons of internal combustion engines taking into account the influence of defects of the casting of gas-shrink character and application of the computer-integrated design is considered. The research aims to create a methodology for determining the locations and sizes of defects in the cast piston with the joint use of computer-integrated modeling and experimental studies in production. For the first time, a method of complex determination of dislocation locations and sizes of gas-shrinkage defects in a cast piston with joint use of computer-integrated modeling and experimental studies in production is proposed and developed. The boundary conditions for calculating the thermal and stress-strain state of the VAZ 21083-1004015 piston in the locations of defects are specified. In this work, the scientific and practical problem of increasing the strength reliability of cast engine pistons is solved, taking into account the influence of casting defects of a gas-shrink nature and using computer-integrated design. Thus, the joint use of the modern computer-integrated design of cast engine pistons with continuous design and technological interaction, which is a powerful tool for the development of new parts and modernization of existing ones, is justified. Also, the paper substantiates the need for the use of systems of engineering modeling of technological processes of production and analysis of the thermal and stress-strain state of cast engine pistons.

Industry 4.0 has inspired the emergence of reliable machine-to-machine systems. Rotating Polarization Wave offers highly reliable communication that employs BPSK modulation. This paper proposes Rotating Polarization QPSK (RP-QPSK) using two orthogonal baseband QPSK modulators to increase data rate. simulation shows RP-QPSK outperforms uni-, dual-and circular polarization in terms of bit error rate (BER). RP-QPSK also outperforms SigFox and LoRa modulations when the sampling rate is three times and ten times the symbol rate, respectively. The BER improves with higher sampling rates. © 2020 IFIP.

In this paper, the indoor dense space (IDS) channel at 28 GHz is characterized through extensive Ray-Tracing (RT) simulations. We consider IDS as a specific type of indoor environment with confined geometry and packed with humans, such as aircraft cabins and train wagons. Based on RT simulations, we characterize path loss, shadow fading, root-mean-square delay spread, Rician K-factor, azimuth/elevation angular spread of arrival/departure considering different RT simulation scenarios of the fuselage geometry, material, and human presence. While the large-scale fading parameters are similar to the state-of-the-art channel models, the small-scale fading parameters demonstrate richer multipath scattering in IDS, resulting in poorer bit error rate performance in comparison to the 3GPP indoor channel model.
