Spontaneous imbibition (SI) is an essential method for accelerating mass exchange between fracture and matrix in tight oil reservoirs. However, conventional systems such as brine and surfactant solution have limited imbibition effects, so there is still abundant remaining oil in the matrix. Nanoemulsion holds the most promising potential in improving tight oil recovery owing to the favorable surface activity and nanoscale droplets, but it still lacks economic and facile methods to fabricate nanoemulsions. Therefore, in this paper, we prepared a kind of O/W nanoemulsion of catanionic surfactants with a low dosage of surfactant and energy consumption, which was then used to assess spontaneous imbibition performance in Changqing outcrop cores by experimental and numerical simulation. We have fully considered the possible imbibition mechanisms of nanoemulsion including wettability alteration, IFT reduction, solubilization and emulsification, etc., and successfully applied to the nanoemulsion imbibition model. The model and experimental data were found to be in good agreement. The results showed that the imbibition rate and oil recovery factor of the nanoemulsion in the first 100 hours are lower than that of brine. In the late stage, we observed a longer equilibrium time and a faster and higher oil imbibition process in nanoemulsion with ultralow IFT. Finally, we confirmed that solubilization and emulsification is one of the domiant mechanisms for nanoemulsion imbibition by comparing with the modelling without considering solubilization and emulsification. A quadrotor is a type of Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) that is popular for its vast applications due to its small size and maneuverability. UAVs fall under the category of drones. Drones are unmanned aircrafts or ships guided by remote control or on-board computers. They are high in demand because of their deployment for surveillance, product delivery, aerial photography and defence applications. Implementing a control system on a quadrotor can be very challenging due to its nonlinear functioning. Thus the motivation of this paper is to successfully implement the PID algorithm on the plant to achieve altitude and attitude control. This paper also compares a linearized plant system of the quadrotor with that of a nonlinear plant system. A mathematical model for the quadrotor, progressing from a uni dimensional to a three dimensional configuration has been derived. Newton-Euler equations have been used to develop the dynamic model. The simulation are carried out in MATLAB/SIMULINK environment and different PID controller tuning methods have been looked into for smoother control.

Because of the complexity and time variability of underwater acoustic channel, the convergence speed and robustness of equalizer is significant for underwater acoustic communication system. In order to improve the performance of equalizer, a novel parallel blind equalizer based on constant modulus algorithm (CMA) and decision directed (DD) algorithm is proposed. According to the errors of the two algorithms, the parallel equalizer adjusts their proportion factor and iteration step size adaptively. In addition, a restart mechanism is established to improve the channel tracking ability of the equalizer. The experimental simulation results show that the proposed parallel equalizer can converge stably for different channels, with faster convergence speed and smaller steady-state residual error than both of the CMA and the DD equalizers, and can track the channel changes quickly.

simulation analysis and optimization of thermal performance of crank and connecting rod mechanism of small diesel engine with artificial intelligence is studied in this paper. Artificial neural network is responsible for knowledge acquisition and empirical thinking., artificial intelligence is responsible for logical thinking, and knowledge base is also responsible for the function of knowledge memory, and their joint work can improve the accuracy of the model. The excellent performance parameters can be then converted to breaking design machine by general computer programming, hence, the modeling is applied into the design. The experiment on the proposed framework proves the efficiency.

In the operation of a moving base overhead crane, the loads lifted are subject to wind, waves or other base motions that can produce complex non-linear responses that can seriously affect efficiency. For the moving base overhead crane system, the control objective is to transport the load to the target position accurately, quickly and with small oscillations. To address this problem, the dynamics model of the floating overhead crane system is derived. In order to grasp the key factors affecting the swing angle, the dynamic characteristics of the crane system are analyzed by MATLAB/Simulink simulation, and the factors affecting the swing angle change such as the initial swing angle, rope length change and running speed are derived.

The article presents a new multi-criteria optimization method called Fuzzy Artificial Acari Optimization (FAAO). The AAO method was tested using ten commonly known benchmarks functionssuch as;Sphere - with a uniform surface, having only one minimum, Ackley - with a relatively uniform surface, having several dozen local minima and one global maximum with a much smaller value than most local minima, Eggholder -with an uneven surface, several dozen local minima, values similar to its global minimum global and Easom - with a flat surface in the vast majority of the domain, with global minimum of small area relative to the search space. The results were compared with other representatives of the Swarm Intelligence trend, such as ABC, PSO. It is very important to observe that FAAO is almost always the fastest, which can be treated as a good prognosis in the future applications of this metaheuristic. © 2021, Springer Nature Switzerland AG.

Vehicular communication systems are expected to be a key enabling technology for many benefits of Cooperative, Connected and Automated Mobility (CCAM) in terms of increased road safety, efficiency and decreased environmental impact of road transport. For reliable and safe operation of these systems, a thorough performance evaluation under all possible deployment scenarios and varying traffic conditions must be performed. computer simulation can help to considerably speed the performance evaluation and prototyping of novel CCAM services. However, to be realistic, development of CCAM simulation models requires an engagement of multidisciplinary knowledge. Moreover, since the commonly used simulation tools are rather complex, a specialized training for future CCAM experts on simulation of vehicular communication systems might be necessary. This paper provides an overview of existing simulation tools applicable for development and evaluation of vehicular communication systems and services, presents a simulation stack for realistic simulations based on key vehicular communication technologies (DSRC, LTE- and 5G-based C-V2X) and outlines the possibilities of its application in the educational process by analyzing the underlying technical skills necessary for appropriate placement of related course in existing curricula.

The floating support friction disk (FSFD) is one of the key components of the clutch, and its machining accuracy significantly affects its mechanical performance. In order to investigate the influence of gear shaping process on the dimensional accuracy of friction disk, this paper uses the finite element method (FEM) to establish the simulation model and simulate the quenching and gear shaping process. The temperature field and stress field of the friction disk blank during the quenching process, as well as the variation of stress and deformation during gear shaping, are obtained. The results show that the first principal stress and Mises stress near the tooth root, with the value of 244 MPa and 1290 MPa respectively, are larger than other parts. The maximum positive deformation (0.0233mm) and negative deformation (0.0476mm) is located at near the outer edge of the front and the bottom of tooth root, respectively. © 2020 ACM.

Within dense urban environments, real-world transportation systems are often associated with extraordinary modeling complexity. Where standard analytic methods tend to fail, simulation tools emerge as reliable approaches to study such systems. Despite their versatility, simulation models can prove to be computational burdens, exhibiting prohibitive simulation runtimes. To address this shortcoming, metamodels are used to aid in the simulation modeling process. In this paper, we propose a directional training scheme, combining both active learning and simulation metamodeling, to address the challenge of exploring the input space, within the context of computationally expensive simulation models. Using a Gaussian Process (GP) as a simulation metamodel, we guide the exploration process towards the identification of specific regions of the input space that trigger a particular simulation output search value of interest defined a priori by the user, saving a significant amount of simulation time in the process. The results obtained from applying our methodology to an Emergency Medical Service (EMS) simulator, show that it is capable of identifying such important input regions while minimizing the number of simulation runs at the same time, thus making the simulation input space exploration process more efficient.

Motion planning for many unmanned aircraft is challenging because they have a larger configuration space than self-driving automobile development (Automated guided vehicles). Additionally, there are more significant uncertainties and disruptions in UAV environments, which makes inter automatic navigation more difficult. In this letter, I proposed a 2 recurrent neural networks (RL) oriented multi-UAV collision avoidance technique by modeling the unpredictability or noise in the environment. Our objective is to create a strategy that can construct a path without clashing with anything using local noisy data. But unlike supervised algorithms, RL lacks a steady training data set with floor labels, thus its collision avoidance strategies often show significant fluctuation and are difficult to reproduce. To solve these issues, we created a two-stage training method for RL-based collision avoidance. We first optimize the policy, and then we utilize a supervised learning methodology with a loss function that encourages the agents to adopt the well-known reciprocity obstacle detection mechanism. In the second step, we use transmission to fine-tune the policy. The complete computer simulation findings demonstrate that this approach can handle noisy local views with erratic sound levels and can design moment & accident paths under inadequate sensing. We review the impact of our policies in a variety of ways.
