Organizations need to constantly improve their strategy, processes, and management practices to keep up with the ever-changing business environment. Over the past few years, there has been a significant surge in the popularity of lean and agile approaches. However, when we talk about a hybrid approach that combines both mindsets, more research is required to fully understand this hybrid concept. Based on the identified gap, a study will be conducted that will evaluate how lean and agile mindsets can be implemented in a private label product development process in an organization located in Portugal. The objective of this research project is to enhance the development process's efficiency and effectiveness by ensuring the product's speedy launch in the market while simultaneously improving its quality. The sense of smell, which is also known as olfaction, can improve brain-computer interfaces (BCIs). It provides a natural and non-invasive way for users to interact with technology by assigning different commands to various scents delivered one after the other in a classical oddball paradigm setting. Olfactory BCIs detect changes in brain activity patterns in response to odors, which can be used to control devices, communicate, or provide information about the user's mental state in the passive BCI modality. Olfactory stimulants can be processed quickly without causing attention overload, making them a promising direction for future BCI research and development. However, some challenges need to be overcome, such as the need for more accurate and reliable odor delivery systems and the development of robust algorithms for detecting and interpreting brain activity patterns. In a pilot study, we have shown the possibility of using a common spatial pattern (CSP) filtration and subsequent clustering of attended versus ignored scent stimuli in a novel BCI modality. Our preliminary results are promising, with accurate EEG response classification observed in four of eight experimental subjects.

As Artificial Intelligence (AI) becomes more prevalent, understanding Human-computer Interaction (HCI) is crucial, especially from the perspective of children who increasingly encounter AI through smart toys, educational apps, and virtual assistants. This study analyses the impact of AI on children's social, emotional, and cognitive development, as well as privacy and security concerns. Using a comprehensive research methodology that includes surveys, interviews, and observations, data is collected from children of various backgrounds and age groups, with input from their parents or guardians. The analysis employs established HCI frameworks to focus on user experience, usability, and user-centred design. This research study aims to inform the design and development of child-friendly AI technology by closely examining how children interact with AI systems. The findings will enhance the existing body of knowledge on HCI, AI, and children, laying the groundwork for ethical and intentional design in AI-enhanced interactions for young users. This study contributes to creating a secure and supportive technological environment for children's growth and development.

One of the primary goals of Human-computer Interaction (HCI) in game design has been the close coupling of players with the digital game system and an increasingly popular approach towards this is Brain-computer Interaction (BCI). Recent improvements made to electroencephalogram-based (EEG) BCI technology have made it more widely available to researchers, more accessible to target end-users, and more viable for gameplay. However, the research has been limited to one side of serious games-the experiential and simulated environments-there has been little research into gameplay mechanics driven serious games. In this paper, we explore potential avenues for BCI-driven game and serious games gameplay design and development, as well as examining potential issues, conflicts and shortcomings that might arise from utilising BCI. This work informs our ongoing research and development of serious games utilising BCI-driven gameplay and can generalise to the development of other BCI-based games and serious games.

This paper introduces the method of computer graphics editing on NET platform. Several aspects of computer graphics generation, such as accompanying files, graphics processing and network interactive control, are studied. Through the secondary development of Arbortext Isoview, the intelligent hierarchical display, object management, event processing and animation generation based on Arbortext Isoview are completed. It can control and interact with CGM illustration in the network environment. At the same time, the mathematical model of illustration graph is established by using operator and clustering optimal gene algorithm. Firstly, hybridization and mutation probabilities were dynamically regulated according to population characteristics, thus improving the optimization speed in the evolutionary process. K-medoids method was used to cluster them. The cost function is used to evaluate the advantages and disadvantages of the cluster. An arbitrary graph rendering method based on genetic algorithm is proposed. The experimental results show that this method is more artistic and creative in illustration art design.
