In recent years, researchers and software developers have applied software process automation techniques during the execution of projects achieving acceptable results. Thus, a considerable variety of process automation techniques are applied in each of its phases. The objective of this study is to perform a systematic review of the literature on software process automation techniques. The results indicate that automation techniques are consolidated in phases such as testing, continuous integration and model-based softwareengineering. These techniques are being implemented to optimize build time, provide greater product autonomy and rely less and less on software engineers. Some of these solutions are focused on improving the phases of the process, in order to build quality software at lower cost and in less time.

This paper summarises the importance of experimental studies of fluid-structure interaction in blade cascades with 3D flow. Such an experiment is currently being designed at the Institute of Thermomechanics of the CAS and must be carefully designed to meet the desired specifications. The use of computer Aided engineering (CAE) is now desirable in the design phase. The experiment is modelled in computer Aided Design (CAD) software Autodesk Inventor and Finite Element Method (FEM) calculations in Ansys Workbench are used to test critical parts of the design. The use of these tools to design a composite blade with a high stiffness to weight ratio is demonstrated here in detail.

In engineering applications, line, circle, arc, and point are collectively referred to as primitives, and they play a crucial role in path planning, simulation analysis, and manufacturing. When designing CAD models, engineers typically start by sketching the model's orthographic view on paper or a whiteboard and then translate the design intent into a CAD program. Although this design method is powerful, it often involves challenging and repetitive tasks, requiring engineers to perform numerous similar operations in each design. To address this conversion process, we propose an efficient and accurate end-to-end method that avoids the inefficiency and error accumulation issues associated with using auto-regressive models to infer parametric primitives from hand-drawn sketch images. Since our model samples match the representation format of standard CAD software, they can be imported into CAD software for solving, editing, and applied to downstream design tasks.

This work addresses a research challenge in automating the translation of natural language inputs into programming language specifications. We consider the case of bug reports, which are informally written by users, and that must be specifying into executable test cases for reproducing the bug on the target software. software bugs are indeed largely reported in natural language by users. Yet, we lack reliable tools to automatically address reported bugs (i.e., enabling their analysis, reproduction, and bug fixing). We therefore build on the recent promises brought by ChatGPT for various tasks, including in softwareengineering, and establish the following research question: What if Conversational Artificial Intelligence (AI) models could be used to explore the semantics of bug reports as well as to automate their reproduction? We evaluate the capabilities of ChatGPT, a state-of-the-art conversational AI, i.e., chatbot, using the popular Defects4J benchmark with its associated bug reports. The results reveal that ChatGPT can generate executable test cases that could trigger 50% of the bugs reported in natural language. These results are promising not only for the research community, but also for practitioners.
