In order to strengthen engineering background of theory teaching of mechanical major, a virtual experiment platform based on LabVIEW for fault diagnosis of rotating machinery is developed. It can be used as engineering examples demonstration in theory teaching. Additionally, It can be connected with testing system through the interface of NI-DAQ to complete mechanical fault simulation, acquisition and analysis of experimental data and intelligent fault diagnosis of machinery. The virtual experiment platform is developed to simulate typical fault of rotating machinery, such as rotor fault, rolling bearing fault and gear fault. And because the principle of this platform involves the knowledge of many theory courses it is very useful to assist teaching and also convenient to experimental research for students as a second-development platform.

This paper reports the experience of running a professional development workshop on advanced computing technologies for high and middle school computer teachers. The workshop introduced the teachers to new trends in computing technologies to be applied in the classroom. Thirty-two teachers took part in the workshop and benefited from its content. The workshop covered four different hot computing topics, namely: Mobile Application development, Internet of Things, 3D Printing, and Introduction to Robotics;topics were chosen based on previous workshops analysis and review. By the end of the workshop, a contest was conducted where the teachers applied what they have learned during the workshop, and prizes were distributed. According to the workshop's post survey, the workshop was successful and teachers expressed their satisfaction with the workshop in general and their desire to attend more future workshops to advance their knowledge in computing.

In order to achieve wide NTSC color Gamut, advanced Quantum Dot (QD) based optical films and blue LED sources are used into a direct type backlight source for FHD resolution based LED Television. After receiving blue light from backlight source, QD film produces highly saturated narrow band RGB color spectral. QD films are made of Nano semiconductor (eg. Cadmium selenide (CdSe)), a chemical compound which condense into PET elements works as highly efficient phosphor Nano-crystals that produces this RGB Color. Conventional LED TV & monitor with white LED source can produce only 70% of NTSC. Within this research platform, QD film is optically placed between the blue (444nm) LED light source, different backlight films and liquid crystal module (LCM) to improve the color conversion efficiency of a TV or monitor to achieved more than 107% of NTSC.

As the convolutional neural network(CNN) algorithm is proved to be uncomplicated in the image preconditioning and relatively simple train the original image, it has become popular in image classification. Apart from the field of image classification, CNN has been widely used in many scientific area, especially in the field of pattern classification. In this paper, we use CNN for handwritten numeral recognition. The basic idea of our method is to use the multi-process to process the training samples in parallel, to exchange the training results and to get the final weight parameters. Compared with the conventional algorithm, the training time is greatly reduced, and the result can be obtained more quickly. Besides, the accuracy of the algorithm is proved to be almost the same as that of the conventional algorithm with sufficient training testing samples.. This significantly improves the efficiency of CNN in the hand written numeral recognition. Finally, we also implemented our proposed method with parallel acceleration optimization based on Many Integrated Core Architecture(MIC) architecture of Intel and GPU architecture of Nvidia.

This paper proposes a design to implement Intelligent Examination subsystem in the Internet Plus environment, which uses structure model combining B/S and C/S, JSP technology and SSH frames. Student examination terminal facilitates automatic acquisition and maintenance of exam candidate's face image for automatic authentication of its identity, automatically obtaining examination papers' information, automatically uploading answers, giving automatic feedback for incorrect answers. Examination monitoring terminal takes care of user management, examination time password management, examination data bulk importing, intelligent distribution of the examination room sitting, examination monitoring, paper submission information statistics and abnormal submission warning. The application shows that this system can greatly improve the efficiency and reliability of online examination management.
