Compressed sensing magnetic resonance imaging (CSMRI) have demonstrated that it is possible to accelerate MRI scan time by reducing the number of measurements in the k-space without significant loss of anatomical details. The number of k-space measurements is roughly proportional to the sparsity of the MR signal under consideration. Recently, a few works on CSMRI have revealed that the sparsity of the MR signal can be enhanced by suitable weighting of different regularization priors. In this paper, we have proposed an efficient adaptive weighted reconstruction algorithm for the enhancement of sparsity of the MR image. Experimental results show that the proposed algorithm gives better reconstructions with less number of measurements without significant increase of the computational time compared to existing algorithms in this line.

40 years ago, uterine cervix cancer represented one of the greatest threats of cancer death among women. With continued advances in medicine and technology, deaths from this disease have declined significantly. The investigations concerning this issue have been determined key symptoms to detect the disease in time to give timely treatment. Conventional cytology is one of the most commonly used techniques being widely accepted because it's inexpensive, and provide many control mechanisms. In order to alleviate the workload to specialists, some researchers have proposed the development of computervision tools to detect and classify the changes in the cells of the cervix region. This research aims to provide researchers with an automatic classification tool applicable to the conditions in medical and research centers in the country. This tool classifies the cells of the cervix, based solely on the features extracted from the nucleus region and reduces the rate of false negative Pap test. From the study, a tool using the technique k-nearest neighbors with distance Manhattan, which showed high performance while maintaining AUC values greater than 91% and reaching 97.1% with a sensitivity of 96% and 88% of obtained specificity.

In the recent history, kernel methods had established themselves as powerful tools for computervision. In this paper we introduce an integer image kernel function based on Ramanujan Sums which finds its place in imagevision. The paper proves the validity of kernel function theoretically and also shows the application of the kernel in imagevision. Ramanujan Sums are based on number theory and hence the new kernel matrix will contain only the integer values. Since the imageprocessing involves complex matrix manipulations, the processing based on the new kernel will be computationally effective. The paper shows the applicability of the kernel in various context of imageprocessing. By applying the theory of Ramanujan Sums for image kernel, we will show the intervention of numerical mathematics in machine learning which gives new directions for future research.

With the rapid development of computer technology, imageprocessing technology is significantly improved. In this paper, a method of moving target tracking based on computer vison is studied. By combining with the results of the Marr image research, we first introduce the framework of computervision theory via a bottom-up visual tracking processing method. To be specific, we take the rocket as an example. Consecutively applying the segmentation algorithm and the tracking algorithm, we find that the accuracy of separation and the instantaneity of image can be enhanced, which makes a significant contribution to the target tracking technology.

The use of reconfigurable computervision architecture for imageprocessing tasks is an important and challenging application in real time systems with limited resources. It is an emerging field as new computing architectures are developed, new algorithms are proposed and users define new emerging applications in surveillance. In this paper, a computervision architecture capable of reconfiguring the processing chain of computervision algorithms is summarised. The processing chain consists of multiple computervision tasks, which can be distributed over various computing units. One key characteristic of the designed architecture is graceful degradation, which prevents the system from failure. This system characteristic is achieved by distributing computervision tasks to other nodes and parametrizing each task depending on the specified quality-of-service. Experiments using an object detector applied to a public dataset are presented.

We propose a stereo vision hardware solution for image matching in real-time. Previous systems use dedicated special-purpose hardware and report different results in terms of performance, cost and quality. This work aims to build a library of hardware components for stereo vision systems, which can be ported to different architectures implemented in FPGA. Some modules were optimized in terms of FPGA resources used inside the chip. Meanwhile the ratio between the clock rate obtained for each component and the maximum frequency allowed by the FPGA was improved. We also introduce a multi-cycle pipeline implementation for SAD-based image matching, which facilitates a trade-off between chip area usage and operating speed.
