Language of signs is usually used by the deaf-mute persons in order to convey their message. But, it becomes very difficult for those who have no knowledge of the sign language. The aim of this research work is to resolve this problem using Digital Dactylology Converser (DOC) which is a device that converts a sign language into voice signal and text message. Primarily a hands gesture is recognised by computervision program and based on that image a speech and text is played and displayed on the speaker and LCD respectively. Purpose of this device is to make conversation easy between dumb and the normal people around the world. In order to minimize their limitations and enable them to expand their boundaries, this is best suitable device. Experimental results verify the operational accuracy of the device for different users. The proposed device can work well and translates the letters, alphabets to text and sound.

Anisotropic diffusion is a powerful imageprocessing technique, which allows simultaneously to remove noise and to enhance sharp features in two and three dimensional images. Anisotropic diffusion filtering concentrates on preservation of important surface features, such as sharp edges and corners, by applying direction dependent smoothing. This feature is very important in image smoothing, edge detection, image segmentation and image enhancement. For instance, in the image segmentation case, it is necessary to smooth images as accurately as possible in order to use gradient-based segmentation methods. If image edges are seriously polluted by noise, these methods would not be able to detect them, so edge features cannot be retained. The aim of this paper is to present a comparative study of three methods that have been used for smoothing using anisotropic diffusion techniques. These methods have been compared using the root mean square error (RMSE) and the Nash-Sutcliffe error. Numerical results are presented for both artificial data and real data.

In this work it is proposed an intelligent vision-based system for automatic classification of beans most consumed in Brazil. The system is able to classify the grains contained in a sample according to their skin colors, and is composed by three modules: image acquisition and pre-processing;segmentation of grains and classification of grains. In the conducted experiments, we used an apparatus controlled by a PC that includes a conveyor belt, an image acquisition chamber and a camera, to simulate an industrial line of production. The results obtained in the performed experiments indicate that the proposed system could be applied to visual quality inspection of beans produced in Brazil, since one of the steps in this process is the measurement of the mixture contained in a sample, taking into account the skin color of grains, for determining the predominant class of product and, consequently, its market price.

Recently, automatic face recognition has been applied in many web and mobile applications. Developers integrate and implement face recognition as an access control into these applications. However, face recognition authentication is vulnerable to several attacks especially when an attacker presents a 2-D printed image or recorded video frames in front of the face sensor system to gain access as a legitimate user. This paper introduces a non-intrusive method to detect face spoofing attacks that utilize a single frame of sequenced frames. We propose a specialized deep convolution neural network to extract complex and high features of the input diffused frame. We tested our method on the Replay Attack dataset which consists of 1200 short videos of both real-access and spoofing attacks. An extensive experimental analysis was conducted that demonstrated better results when compared to previous static algorithms results.
- This study introduces a modification to a previous method for dewarping book spread images in the design of an automated book reader for persons with visual impairment and blindness. This design concept could also b...

Applications of enhanced photograph processing and human structure modeling procedures performed mammoth function in advancement of Video surveillance. Right here we are presenting a proposed video surveillance approach for overlapped flower yield detection. In this article a digicam is viewed standing dealing with a flower mattress for flower yield detection. Range of flower types are maintained together with yellow, purple and crimson petals in each state of affairs respectively for study consideration. For candidature of yieldable some valid parameters are considered such as flower dimension, quantity of petals etc. After color modeling, morphological operations entire utilizing dilation, erosion, opening and closing algorithms for removing of any spurious noise with-in a digicam acquainted images.

In this paper we present a technique for identifying the presence of stagnant water bodies in images taken in various settings. Stagnant water bodies, such as puddles, can become sites for mosquitos to grow, which increases the likelihood of the spread of diseases, such as Zika [1]. We observe that existing techniques perform poorly on images of variable quality, variable backgrounds, and focus. We present a technique that is able to successfully identify puddles in these images with about 88% accuracy and over 95% recall. Our technique is robust to image focus, background, and quality, making it a good choice for datasets produced by various kinds of cameras, including those on mobile phones, thermal imagers and unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs).
