We propose a stereo vision hardware solution for image matching in real-time. Previous systems use dedicated special-purpose hardware and report different results in terms of performance, cost and quality. This work aims to build a library of hardware components for stereo vision systems, which can be ported to different architectures implemented in FPGA. Some modules were optimized in terms of FPGA resources used inside the chip. Meanwhile the ratio between the clock rate obtained for each component and the maximum frequency allowed by the FPGA was improved. We also introduce a multi-cycle pipeline implementation for SAD-based image matching, which facilitates a trade-off between chip area usage and operating speed.

Face as a biometric identification in computervision is an important medium, in areas such as video surveillance, animation games, security anti-terrorist has a very wide range of applications, creating vivid, strong visibility of 3d face model, now has become a challenging in the field of computervision is one of the important topics. At first, this paper used the zhongxing-micro ZC301P cameras to build a binocular stereo vision system for recording images. After the camera calibration and binocular calibration, the three-dimensional data of facial images were extracted using the functions of OpenCV computervision library, and then 3d face model were reconstructed preliminary by DirectX. According the reconstruction process, the human face three-dimensional reconstruction software was designed and developed. The paper laid the foundation for the next step work that is to obtain more clear and strong visibility of 3d face.

The retrieval in multimedia database is research focus in computervision. In this paper, we propose a novel boosting image retrieval framework. In our work, a new method is proposed to extract salient objects in the images in order to eliminate the interference of the background. Then an effective framework for image retrieval is introduced with weak classifier. To evaluate the validity of the proposed algorithm, we test our approach in SIMPLIcity dataset and Corel5000 dataset. The simulation results show that the proposed framework is effective in retrieving the user-interested image.

An `edge-based' imageprocessing architecture for the internet of things (IoT) is devised, drawing on the existing imageprocessing pipelines that are implemented in today's imaging modules in digital cameras and smartphones. A key element of this IoT framework is that image or video data does not have to be streamed across the network, but can be largely processed on the sensing nodes with metadata transmitted to intermediate control nodes that can detect certain events/conditions and trigger corresponding actions.
