This paper presents an enhanced segmentation method for substation operation elements, leveraging YOLOv8 integrated with the Content-Aware Fusion Module (CAFM) from HCANet. The proposed model aims to address the challenges of detecting safety violations in complex and dynamic substation environments, where objects often overlap or are occluded. By incorporating a content-guided attention fusion mechanism, the model captures both global and local contextual information, significantly improving pixel-level segmentation accuracy. Experimental results demonstrate that the YOLOv8-CAFMFusion model achieves a 3.2% improvement in mAP (from 79.3% to 82.5%) and a 17.2% reduction in inference time (from 29 ms to 24 ms). This enhanced performance enables more accurate and real-time detection of safety violations, such as improper use of protective gear or unauthorized access to restricted zones. The use of image segmentation for substation operation monitoring offers significant advantages over traditional object detection, including precise identification of object boundaries and better handling of occlusions, ultimately contributing to a safer and more efficient operational environment. © 2024 IEEE.

To apply the advantages of deep learning in 2D image recognition to the fault diagnosis of three-phase inverters, this paper proposes a Parallel Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) model based on short-time Fourier transform (STFT) and Gramian Angular Difference Field (GADF) images. Firstly, the one-dimensional voltage signal output by the inverter is converted into a two-dimensional image using STFT and GADF methods. Then, the transformed image data is input into the dual-channel parallel CNN model, where convolution and pooling operations are carried out in the two CNN branches to extract multi-level features of the fault signal. Finally, through feature fusion and fully connected layers, effective classification and diagnosis of inverter open-circuit faults are achieved. Experimental results show that the classification accuracy of the proposed method exceeds 97% under different noise levels. Compared to other methods, the proposed approach demonstrates significant advantages in accuracy and reliability, with strong anti-interference ability and robustness when processing noisy data. © 2024 IEEE.

A session-based recommendation model combining star graph and dynamic perception is proposed to solve the problem of remote information, ignoring the dynamic change of users' interests and the inaccurate expression of short-Term preferences. Construct star graph and obtain remote node information by using Graph neural network. Then, the dual gating mechanism is used to integrate the information of item, time and user, and establish the dynamic interest model of user. Improved adaptive fusion mechanism, combining remote node information with users' dynamic interests to get global preferences. Improve short-Term graphs and enhance recent interactive representations with global information for more accurate short-Term interest. Compared with the optimal benchmark model, HR@20 reaches 54.29% at the highest, an increase of more than 2.1 percentage points, and MRR@20 reaches 18.84% at the highest, an increase of more than 0.9 percentage points, which verifies that this method can better match the real intention of users. © 2023 IEEE.

This article presents a wearable visual enhancement system for divers in complex underwater scenarios. An adaptive underwater image enhancement algorithm based on multi-scale fusion is also proposed and implemented in the underwater wearable system to improve the wearer's visual perception of their surroundings. An illumination compensation processing step is introduced to exhibit significantly clearer image features and effectively preserve the true and essential information of the image throughout the fusion process. We conducted extensive experiments across diverse datasets and various underwater scenarios to validate the efficacy of our algorithm. The results show that our approach surpasses state-of-the-art techniques, including traditional, deep learning-based, and multi-scale fusion-based image enhancement methods, as evidenced by both objective quantitative metrics and qualitative evaluations. Also, an underwater experiment is also conducted in the swimming pool and the result shows that the enhanced image's underwater color image quality evaluation value registers a 12% increment relative to the original image, and its underwater image quality measures value experiences a substantial surge of 173%. © 2024 IEEE.

In view of the common road surface, multiple objects in a complex environment, because the detection results of multiple objects are not ideal, resulting in errors in the detection results, in order to achieve the accurate tracking of the target object. The basic principle of Camshift algorithm is emphasized, and Kalman filtering algorithm is added in the tracking process to process the obtained target data to form a moving track, predict the position of the target next time, and solve the problem of follow-up tracking. Through the verification under the complex background of the daily road, it is found that the improved algorithm can effectively and accurately extract the moving target to be tracked from the continuous frames of the point cloud image, and has high robustness. The problem of high real-time requirement for target tracking has been effectively solved. The example shows that the prediction effect is good, and it is feasible. © 2023 IEEE.

This article presents a literature review on the implementation of Robotic Process automation (RPA) in healthcare and its social influence. RPA is an emerging technology that automates repetitive and rule-based processes, providing greater efficiency and cost reduction. In the healthcare sector, RPA has the potential to transform administrative operations, improve data accuracy, and free up professionals to focus on patient care. This systematic review examines recent studies on the benefits and challenges of adopting RPA in healthcare, with a particular focus on its sustainability and social impact. The findings indicate that while RPA can offer significant operational and economic improvements, its implementation also raises ethical and social issues, such as the potential replacement of jobs and the need for workforce reskilling. It is concluded that a balanced and well-planned approach is essential to maximize the benefits of RPA in healthcare while mitigating its potential adverse consequences. © 2025 The Author(s).

AFDX (Avionics Full Duplex Switched Ethernet) network is a deterministic network widely used for data exchange between aviation subsystems. In order to accurately and efficiently detect and analyze aircraft AFDX network data, a WinPcap-based AFDX network data analyzer design and frame parsing method are proposed to realize real-time capture, display and parsing of AFDX data frames. Experimental verification was carried out using a dedicated AFDX board. The results show that the designed analyzer is able to capture and analyze AFDX data frames in real time, and can be tested for its characteristics. © 2024 SPIE.

The system employs various sensors and advanced algorithms to lessen traffic hazards. Onboard sensors like GPS, accelerometers, gyroscopes, and proximity sensors track vehicle data in real-time. This data is analyzed locally or sent to a central unit for further processing. Sophisticated computers assess the data to anticipate collision risks, predict dangers, and recommend safe speeds. Proactive measures, like automated speed adjustments and collision avoidance, are taken when hazards are detected. Communication technologies such as V2X facilitate real-time data sharing between infrastructure and vehicles, enhancing situational awareness and collaborative decision-making. A black box records crucial data for accident investigation and performance analysis. Machine learning algorithms continuously improve system functionality based on real-world data. Due to the usage of black box, the data which has been collected will sent to nearly located base station, police station, hospital, or home along with latitude and longitude of the vehicle's location. © 2024 IEEE.

Numerous natural disasters due to climate change pose major threats to the sustainability of public infrastructure and human lives. For emergency rescue and recovery during a disaster, a rapid and accurate evaluation of disaster damage is essential. In recent years, the Transformer has gained popularity in a number of tasks related to computer vision, which offers tremendous potential for improving the accuracy of disaster damage assessments. Our research aims to determine whether Vision Transformer (ViT) can be used to assess natural disaster damage on high-resolution Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) data in comparison with conventional deep-learning semantic segmentation techniques. We discuss if Transformer can perform better than CNNs in accurately assessing the damage caused in order to bridge the gap. Detailed performance comparison of state-of-art deep learning semantic segmentation models (UNET, Segnet, PSPNet, Deeplabv3+) and Transformer framework (SegFormer) for damage assessment is presented. The experimentation is performed on both natural disaster damage datasets (RescueNet, FloodNet). The study supported SegFormer as the most appropriate model for estimating disaster damage, with mIoUs of 96% on the RescueNet dataset and 82.22% on the FloodNet dataset, respectively. The Transformer is capable of outperforming conventional segmentation CNNs in understanding the entirety of the scene and assessing the severity of the damage, based on both quantitative evaluation and visual results. © 2023 IEEE.

This paper presents an improved tuning fork gyroscope (TFG) structure utilizing two gyroscope drive resonator frames and a diamond-shaped coupling spring mechanism. It explores a two-degree-of-freedom system for the drive mode frame with a coupling mechanism to reduce external vibration sensitivity while keeping angular rate sensitivity. Expressions are derived to study and optimize the coupling spring structure. FEM modeling using ANSYS software validates the expressions that are derived. Simulations were performed to ensure anti-phase motion and avoid structural imbalance induced in-phase motion. Simulations demonstrate compensation for force imbalance and preservation of anti-phase motion. FEM modal analysis confirms a significant frequency separation of 10.90 kHz between in-phase and anti-phase resonant frequencies, with values at 6.81 kHz and 17.713 kHz, respectively. The improved frequency separation in TFG can ensure robustness against external environmental vibrations when fabrication imperfections occur and ensure better reliability for the measurement of angular velocity in inertial sensing applications. © 2024 IEEE.
