The complex and dynamic environment of mines leads to time-variability and uncertainty in channel propagation, which affects the stability and reliability of Vehicle-to-Everything (V2X)communication in mine networks. Channel prediction can help mitigate these issues. Introducing reconfigurable intelligence surface (RIS) into the mine V2X system can enhance signal coverage and quality in the complex mine environment. To address the issue of long-term error accumulation in existing channel prediction models, this paper analyzes the prediction error of channel state information (CSI) in mine V2X systems. It was observed that the error distribution exhibits characteristics of an approximate normal distribution, revealing its predictability. Utilizing this characteristic, this paper proposes an error correction strategy to suppress long-term error accumulation during the prediction process. Furthermore, an adaptive method for optimizing RIS phases is designed based on the Snow Ablation Optimizer. Specifically, this paper utilizes a metaheuristic optimization algorithm and deep learning techniques to propose a mine V2X channel prediction model that incorporates the error correction strategy. Experimental results show that optimizing the RIS phase can effectively enhance channel gain, and the mine V2X channel prediction model incorporating the error correction strategy can effectively suppress cumulative errors during the prediction process, thereby improving prediction accuracy. © 2024 IEEE.

Visual object tracking aims to predict the bounding box in the whole sequence by giving an initial position, which has been paid more and more attention in recent years. The newly proposed Siamese trackers show great potential on high accuracy and robustness. In this paper we introduce a visual object tracker based on the Siamese region proposal network (SiamRPN) with multi-scale feature fusion. Specifically, it employs an additional feature fusion operation in the Siamese sub-network for feature extraction. It has achieved higher accuracy than the baseline SiamRPN without fine-tuning the original network and without considerable efficiency loss. © 2022 IEEE.

Molecular property prediction is an essential part of AI-driven drug design and discovery. Graph neural networks (GNNs) have become powerful tools for molecular property prediction. However, most of the existing GNNs represent molecules at the atomic level, ignoring the information about molecular fragments. It is these fragments containing pharmacophores that often determine molecular properties. In this work, we present FraHNN: Fragment-based Hypergraph Neural Network, a hypergraph learning framework that introduces molecular fragments to obtain more complete molecular information. Specifi-cally, FraHNN represents molecules as nodes of the hypergraph and fragments as hyperedges, using the hypergraph convolution algorithm to learn and update features of molecular nodes. Our proposed model has been tested on nine bench-mark datasets. The experimental results show that FraHNN achieves excellent performance on both classification and regression tasks for molecular property prediction. Additionally, visualization studies also indicate the model’s strong capability in molecular representation learning. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2024.

With the increasing demands for the reliability and stability of wind turbines, predictive fault diagnosis of wind turbines has become increasingly necessary. Among all components, bearings have the highest failure rate in wind turbines, and their operating condition is crucial for the normal operation of wind turbines. Currently, fault classification is mainly conducted through experimental simulation, and fault signal characteristics are extracted from the data collected from the fault test bench using big data technology for fault diagnosis. Traditional vibration signal analysis requires expert experience to extract signal characteristics, which is difficult and complex, and is heavily influenced by human subjective factors. However, deep learning utilizes artificial neural networks to automatically extract features, resulting in a more comprehensive and objective representation of faults. As a major research area in current fault diagnosis, deep learning has been widely applied. Combining different neural network models with various data processing methods can improve the performance of fault diagnosis and continuously enhance its accuracy. As one of the most powerful theories in deep learning, transfer learning applies learning from known tasks to new tasks. It can enhance the performance of deep neural network models by learning from the data characteristics of known tasks, thereby obtaining accurate fault classification results. In this paper, a bearing fault diagnosis method based on transfer learning utilizes the EfficientNet-b0 network and employs a small sample size of actual operating data from wind turbines for fault diagnosis. The results show that this method achieves accurate fault diagnosis, with a classification accuracy of 100% for four types of faults with small sample sizes. © The Authors.

Acoustic sounds have been reasonably effective as brief aural cues within cockpit systems, serving to alert pilots about the configuration and performance of the aircraft. However, these sounds do not establish an intuitive connection between the alert and its intended function, leading to an initial learning curve in grasping their auditory significance. In contrast, synthesized speech is more pliable for comprehension and has gained popularity in applications such as virtual assistants and sat-nav communication. With cockpit automation advancing towards single-pilot operations, communication by cockpit systems requires consideration. Therefore, it is crucial to thoroughly investigate and validate the impact of both acoustic sounds and synthesized speech in this setting. A human-in-the-loop experiment was conducted in an aircraft simulator environment, involving participants with diverse ages and levels of experience, to evaluate the response time for an automated checklist annunciating callouts in the form of acoustic sounds and synthesized speech. The results indicated that the response time, for the aural checklist callouts, had been influenced by anticipation, habituation, and familiarity with a scenario rather than the type of aural alert. Anticipation and habituation in unfamiliar scenarios had led to inappropriate responses to spurious alerts irrespective of the type of alert. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2024.

In order to avoid the disadvantages of manually adjusting cooling water when MPCVD equipment is running, reduce the fluctuation of inlet and outlet temperature difference of cooling water and realize the automatic control of cooling water temperature difference, a MPCVD automatic cooling control system based on fuzzy PID is designed. With STM32 as the core, set up the control system hardware, using C# to write the upper computer software. The experimental results show that the Fuzzy PID control can reduce the temperature fluctuation of cooling water compared with the traditional PID control, and the final temperature fluctuation is controlled within ±1.5℃. © VDE VERLAG GMBH ∙ Berlin ∙ Offenbach.

The human race has developed various automobiles for faster transportation from one place to another place. But these automobiles are the main cause of human loss in the current trend. Various reasons cause these accidents, out of which three main reasons are accidental door openings, unforeseen lane shifts, and blind spot misses during parking. These accidents are persistent and happen very often, posing a severe threat to drivers, pedestrians, other drivers, and pavilion passengers, if luck is on our side, it would just pause at the cost of vehicle damage. To prevent all these occurrences, the 'Integrated Door Opening And Lane Change Warning System' was introduced. This Integrated Door Opening And Lane Change Warning System is an apparatus that keeps a constant eye on the surroundings at all times. It is an integration of sensors that is installed into the vehicle which checks for any approaching vehicles, pedestrians, or bikers that are in the circumference of it. If the apparatus notes the presence, it takes action accordingly. Rather than acting upon the incident after its occurrence, this system tries to prevent it, upon detecting the contingency of an accident. Even if the passenger catches a blind spot, the Integrated Door Opening And Lane Change Warning System has your back, keeping track of all the surroundings and letting everyone in the vehicle at ease. © 2024 IEEE.

WSN is a most popular network known to be one of the main problems for EC (energy consumption). Several commercial industrial automation procedure and other real-life uses, WS (Wireless sensor) technology has an important role to play. Wireless technologies have emerged as a solution for message in smart city activities, including Bluetooth, WiMax, 4G, LTE, and WiFi. However, as the majority of them use unlicensed distortion, difficulties with existence and bands are getting worse. IoT (internet of things) is therefore employed in smart cities to address the issue. This article identifies the existing problems of both RA (resource allocation) and RP (routing protocol) for IoT networks based on optimization and scheduling methods. A review of some routing protocols which are considering safety calculations and enhance the network parameters. Resource allocation methods have described the queue-based optimization method for choosing a better path for further routes based on several constraints that enhance the RDM (route discovering mechanism). © 2023 IEEE.

The perception system in personalized mobile agents requires developing indoor scene understanding models, which can understand 3D geometries, capture objectiveness, analyze human behaviors, etc. Nonetheless, this direction has not been well-explored in comparison with models for outdoor environments (e.g., the autonomous driving system that includes pedestrian prediction, car detection, traffic sign recognition, etc.). In this paper, we first discuss the main challenge: insufficient, or even no, labeled data for real-world indoor environments, and other challenges such as fusion between heterogeneous sources of information (e.g., RGB images and Lidar point clouds), modeling relationships between a diverse set of outputs (e.g., 3D object locations, depth estimation, and human poses), and computational efficiency. Then, we describe MMISM (Multi-modality input Multi-task output Indoor Scene understanding Model) to tackle the above challenges. MMISM considers RGB images as well as sparse Lidar points as inputs and 3D object detection, depth completion, human pose estimation, and semantic segmentation as output tasks. We show that MMISM performs on par or even better than single-task models;e.g., we improve the baseline 3D object detection results by 11.7% on the benchmark ARKitScenes dataset. © 2023 IEEE.
