This research paper presents the development and execution of a novel home automation system operated through voice commands using Google Assistant. The system allows users to control home appliances, such as lights and fans, from anywhere using their smartphones or other smart devices. By connecting the home appliances to the internet, they can be easily accessed and monitored in real-time, making it an ideal solution for Internet of Things (IoT) facilitated home automation. The proposed system adds an extra layer of security by integrating speaker identification and verification technologies, ensuring that only authorized users can give commands to the system. The paper presents the results of the implementation and testing of the system in a real-world home automation environment. The proposed system is flexible, low cost, and offers a high level of security, making it a potential solution for securing other IoT applications. The primary objective of this project is to demonstrate the potential of voice-controlled home automation systems for improving living conditions and the role of speaker recognition technologies in ensuring security. © 2023 IEEE.

The fourth industrial revolution, termed Industry 4.0, is characterised by an exponential transformation rate. As a result, workforces and companies must adapt to rapid changes, which prompted the development of new approaches to higher education, such as Education 4.0. However, despite its importance in enabling Industry 4.0 and related technologies, such as additive manufacturing and smart manufacturing, computer-aided design (CAD), computer-aided manufacturing (CAM), and computer-aided engineering (CAE) education has not undergone responsive changes to its delivery. Consequently, this study aims to support Industry 4.0 by identifying the necessary employability skills and enhancing CAD, CAM, and CAE education. This paper shows (i) the crucial role of higher education in equipping future engineers with the skills for Industry 4.0;(ii) the current state-of-the-art in computer-aided design;and (iii) proposes a novel adaptive approach to computer-aided design, manufacturing, and engineering. Indeed, the results reveal that the most effective teaching method evolves with the learner's ability. As such, the proposed Pedagogy 4.0 empowers students to adapt their learning experience. These findings provide novel insights into engineering education and may contribute to developing the next generation of engineers for Industry 4.0. © 2023 IEEE.

The use of Natural Language Processing Algorithms (NLP) for automation purposes in various applications is frequently encountered recently. Some research managed to identify the dominant emotion from a text using neural networks (ANN), Random Forest (RF) and Support Vectors Machines (SVM) while other studies classified documents with the aim of mechanizing the extraction process of *** paper presents a study on different Natural Language Processing Algorithms (NLP) used for automation of a virtual bookstore. The objective was the application of artificial intelligence algorithms to streamline the necessary processes of an online bookstore or library, taking into consideration the short descriptions and summaries of the books. The aim is to improve the results obtained by supervised algorithms using various techniques such as aggregating unsupervised classifications. In order to boost their understanding of natural language, GPT is used to enhance the dataset by adding additional context. Finally, some of the methods utilized in improving accuracy can be used to create a personalized recommendation system that suits each reader's needs. © 2023 IEEE.

To raise human living standards, technical advancements are driven mostly by this source of inspiration. Directly and indirectly, technological growth increases and provides for human safety and comfort. The creation of technology for this use immediately influences life standards through the design of intelligent automation systems. Unlike general-purpose computers, the PLC is designed for multiple inputs and output arrangements. Now a days with the increase of industrial automation PLC's find replacement to hard drawn relay wires. An example of a hard real time system is a PLC, which must provide output results in response to input conditions within a finite amount of time. This paper is about designing of a PLC using atmega processor and its application as automation of coal handling plant making its operation smoother and flexible. Results and simulations were obtained based on real time conditions. © 2023 IEEE.

At present, most stainless steel welding pipe enterprises are using Tungsten Inert Gas (TIG) welding as a welding process. TIG welding uses the heat generated by the arc to melt the steel strip and form stainless steel welded pipes. Therefore, whether the position of the tungsten needle is accurately aligned with the weld seam is crucial to the welding quality of the stainless steel welded pipe. The molten pool outline in the weld image contains abundant welding process information. This paper presents a method of weld seam tracking based on molten pool outline, The welding deviation can be obtained by calculating the contour image moment and the concavity of each point, and the automatic recognition and tracking of the weld can be realized. © 2024 SPIE.

The utilization of robots is already commonplace in industrial automation. However, there is still ample opportunity for additional automation. An area that offers potential for enhancement is the adaptation of a manufacturing system to novel and unfamiliar items. Presently, this task entails new programming of the robotic device and the recalibration of the image recognition algorithms, should sensors be involved. Small and medium-sized organizations tend to avoid investing in the expertise of specialists due to the required time and effort. Our proposal involves creating a digital replica of a physical manufacturing line, known as a digital twin. This digital twin will imitate the production system and collect labeled data. The data will be used to train a deep learning element. A trained artificial brain network will be used to identify and pinpoint the location of the Noticed items. This enables the production process to efficiently handle all familiar and unfamiliar products with more adaptability. The Artificial neural networks element is situated on a cloud infrastructure and can be reached via an internet service, enabling any staff member to commence the training, irrespective of their programming proficiency. To summarize, our method focuses on both increasing automation in production and utilizing synthesizing data to support artificial learning. © 2024 IEEE.

As the largest natural reserve in China, the Three-River-Source Region possesses abundant grassland resources. However, in recent years, the grasslands in this area have been facing severe degradation issues. Overgrazing by livestock, mainly cattle and sheep, who are the primary livestock of the local herdsmen, has led to excessive grassland depletion. Addressing this phenomenon, this paper aims to provide technical support for grassland workers to explore the relationship between livestock grazing and grassland degradation by accurately identifying the number of cattle and sheep. This will enable the formulation of more effective grazing management strategies. This study involved field data collection and manual annotation to construct a dataset comprising 10,000 images of cattle and sheep. Building upon the original YOLOv5 model, optimizations were made by integrating compression techniques and the Squeeze-and-Excitation (SE) module, as well as enhancing the small object detection stage. Following these optimizations, the model achieved performance improvements of 1.2% in precision, 4.03% in recall, and 3.6% in mAP0.5 (mean average precision at an IoU threshold of 0.5) compared to the original model. These enhancements provide efficient and accurate technical means for livestock counting in the Three-River-Source Region. © 2024 SPIE.

Rapid evolution is underway in the fields of nature language processing and robotics. Our research endeavors to integrate Large Language Models (LLMs) with imitation learning, aiming to enhance the efficiency of action generation in robotics. The proposed model, Efficient Imitate with Large Language Models (EILLM), utilizes the vast knowledge of LLMs, thus improving the limitations that have traditionally plagued imitation learning approaches, which often falter when confronted with limited expert data. Employing a multi-pronged approach, EILLM adopts LLMs for task understanding, state-action pair analysis, and Monte Carlo search tree pruning, thereby simultaneously raising the accuracy of action generation and efficiency of search process. Furthermore, our experiments demonstrated the superior performance of EILLM compared to baseline models, corroborating its efficacy in achieving sample-efficient robot motion by integrating LLMs and imitation learning. © 2024 SPIE.
